Art Advantage Heavy Duty Needle

I’m an art teacher and this is the single most important and useful tool for cutting large blocks of clay!

Used this knife extensively in my ceramic and sculpture classes. It’s nothing spectacular, just a functional tool that seems pretty average in quality. It’s not a forever-knife, but for the price, it does the job.

The tool works as expected but I wish it would be a little bit lower cost or offer two for the same price. This is a better quality wire clay cutter than the plain cutter from the starter kit at the stores.

I think this is one of the best clay tools; a must have for cleaning up clay objects.

ART-6950-6 Wide Loop Tool, 1-3/4" was purchased for pumpkin carving and was just the thing I needed. Very handy for carving anything soft enough such as pumpkin or clay. Looks decent enough quality, but if you are really hard on things, try to go gingerly. Use a knife or other straight carving tools for really firm textured medium. Overall very pleased.

These ribbon tools are a necessary part of any clay sculptor's bag of tools. With these, a sculptor can trim evenly in hand-built and thrown forms. There are some particularly useful tools for throwing, including a curved ribbon that allows you to make beveled lips and bases that can be difficult to make with a wooden ear-shaped tool. For hand-building, the smaller ribbons allow sculptors to get into the tight spaces inside of corners that are often extremely difficult to evenly and carefully shape. For small items like beads or jewelry, these give you a nice small leveling surface to use when you want to reduce the thickness of smaller areas that the hands sometimes squish. These are of good quality and seem to be the same as any that I've bought at chain and local art supply stores. Worth every penny.

I needed a detail needle that is comfortable to hold and this item doesn't disappoint. I use it for the fine details on my polymer clay designs. The item arrived in perfect condition and it's very sturdy feeling. It's so comfortable for hands that may have some arthritis or if you want to avoid hand cramping.

The needle itself is just a little thicker than I thought it’d be but overall it’s a good product

The quality is good but it is more flexible than what I was looking for. If you want a tool that does not bend, this is not the tool you need. If you are looking for something with give - this may be ideal for you.

Got this for a seemingly good price but the blade wasn’t cut perfectly straight. Right at the tip the metal is a bit jagged. Obviously this is a significant issue if you need a clear and straight blade for cutting your pottery with a nice clean line. Maybe just a defect on this one but buyer beware.......

I needed/wanted a basic caliper for various projects and this will do nicely. Lightweight and spreads out to 13 inches.
