No, watermarks will not appear in the printed picture. Some blemishes, tears, or stamps may be removed from the final print.

Do you edit/restore the images before printing?

Yes! We edit every image before printing. Edits depend on scan quality but always include contrast, brightness, sharpness, & color correction. For vintage maps, we may also remove distractions (stamps, marks, creases, blemishes) to restore clarity.

Does this mean the vintage-looking map I order will look brand new?

No, we clean up images by removing stamps, tears, & creases but aim to preserve historical character. This means keeping textures, fading, and stains when appropriate. It’s a careful balance, and our goal is to deliver the best version of each map.

Will I be able to read all the text on my map?
