I got this book for my daughter and I to read together for her to learn about having a period. The book is very detailed which is great. She did still have some questions but the book pretty much answered most of them.

Great book for girls before they start.
I got this for my daughter because I felt like the time was coming and I wanted her to be comfortable with her body and the changes. She was so appreciative to have this book. She said it helped her know what questions to ask and she made notes in it and would come ask me things based off the notes she made. While we have had conversations, this book gave her more insight and gave her a way to ask questions without being embarrassed. I have recommended it to many friends already!

simple and too the point
I bought this book for my granddaughter. It is simple and to the point. The pages are colorful with illustrations that complement the text. This book does not go into sexual intercourse specifically except to mention that sperm from the male is necessary to fertilize the egg and produce a baby. Nor does it get into sexuality, LTBQ, gender identity which is what I was looking for as I only wanted a teaching aid / informational book about the menstrual period. I would recommend.
