KEEN Women's Newport H2 Closed Toe Water Sandals

I purchased 4 pairs of Keen Women’s size 9 closed toe sandals to compare. I chose the SOLR HighPerformance Sport Closed Toe Water Sandal, Black/Steel Grey, the Newport Retro-w Sport Sandal, Original tie dye, the Venice H2 Sandal, Black/Neutral Gray and the Ravine H2 Black/ Dawn Pink. I am planning a vacation trip to Portugal and I wanted to be able to reduce the number of shoes I planned on packing. I have a pair of Keen’s hiking boots and I already know how much I like them. I wanted something that would stand up as well as a hiking boot but weigh less like a tennis shoe for a lot of walking. I wanted something that I could wear to the beach and get in the water. I wanted something that was casual and might go with some of my summer dresses. Finally I was hoping that if the shoe was water proof it might also serve as a shower shoe. So to recap, I am looking for one shoe to rule them all, hiking boots, tennis shoes, sandals, water shoes, shower shoes and a casual summer dress shoe. I know it is a tall order but just think of how much room I will save in my bag. An additional constraints that I have that play into my decision are that I have a AAA foot and AAAA heel. The Keen hiking boots I have wear are a little wide and a little short but they were a better fit than any other boot I found which makes me happy. With the boots I can add inserts, with sandals that is not going to be an option. I have also previously broken my ankle in several places and had several operations on it. I do better in a shoe with at least a little higher in the heel than the toe. I can also be sensitive right under the bone on the inside of the ankle. I loved the rainbow color of the tie dye shoe. It was the only model that offered the rainbow. I have to tell you know I wanted the tie dye shoe to be the winner just because of the color. Some of the other models do offer a variety of colors to choose from just not rainbow. I was looking forward to trying on the Ravine H2. It is the only one of the four that has an adjustable heel strap. I have not had a sandal with an adjustable heel but my husband has several pairs of sandals with the adjustable heel and he raves about them. I was hoping that it would help make the shoe fit more securely and not slide around. The adjustable strap did give a good fit on the heel. It was the first shoe I tried on and if it had been the only shoe I tried on I would have loved it. In the end the adjustable strap was one of the main reasons I did not choose it. I was thick and hard. The other 3 models all had very soft and comfortable heel straps. The SOLR Sandal looks like it might be adjustable in the heel but it is not. The Ravine H2 is the only one with an adjustable heel. If this is important to you this is the choice for you. Keep in mind it wasn’t uncomfortable it just wasn’t as comfortable and in the end I did not feel like it offered the benefits I needed over the comfort. The next big thing I was looking for was whether I could secure the shoe enough that it didn’t slip around on my foot. I did wear a pair of extra thin socks when trying them on and I will most likely wear them with socks when out and about but not at the beach. The Ravine H2 and the Venice H2 did not lace up as snuggly as I was wanting on my foot. I think for the average foot they would have been great. The SOLR and the Newport Retro both felt very snug around my foot with a much better ability to lace up. This being said I think that both the Ravine H2 and the Venice H2 have more breathing room but they all are pretty open. In the end the Newport Retro rubbed right on my scar on my ankle that ruled it out immediately. My favorite looking pair was eliminated due to an old injury. Both of the H2 models did not feel snug enough on my feet and the Ravine H2 heel strap was not as comfortable. I have been wearing the SOLR sandal for a couple of days now and they are wonderful. I can loosen up the lacing (elastic) and wear them as slip ons around the house or tighten them up for some real walking. When loosened up they are sure to be very comfortable on a medium size foot and I could see a wide foot being comfortable. There is a lot of stretch in the neoprene type fabric used in the shoes There are several features that I passed over that were present in all of the shoes. Every last one of them was comfortable. I am sure the Newport Retro would be wonderful for everyone without a scar in that particular place. Even though the Ravine H2 was comfortable I just liked the SOLR better. All of the soles had different treads but they all had a ….?micro perforation that is not visible until the sole is bent and then it opens up to provide better flexibility. I looked at the stitching and connection points on all of them and they appear to be really well made. I give them all 5 stars. I hope this helped you so you don’t need to buy four pairs of shoes. All of the models are great picks.

These are my second pair of Keen Women's Newport H2 shoes. I just bought my first pair this summer, too, and just had to get another pair because I needed a more neutral pair to broaden my opportnities to wear them. My first pair was beet red, and although I love the color, my options with outfits were somewhat more limited. Now with this pair, I can wear one pair or the other almost whenever I want with my normal casual clothes. For me, these shoes are worth their weight in gold and I highly suggest you give these Keene Newport H2 shoes a try. I do have a suggestion: for those of you who are confused about whether to get your regular shoe size, or to go up half a size as many suggest, order both if this is your first time to order this style of shoe, and try them both and return the pair that doesn't fit! I believe the return shipping is covered, but you should double check that out. I ordered this pair because there are several things I love about them. At age 63, I love the support they give me, while looking great and fresh. I love this style so much, that I am considering even wearing them with socks when it turns cooler out. It will be difficult for me to change Keen styles because I am so hooked on this particular style. I have learned that I can wear them, no matter the task at hand. If I am gardening and get mud on them, I just hose them down and set them in the sun. The webbing like material dries quickly and they look as good as new! I find the colors to be colorfast and there is no bleeding of colors when they get wet. Well they are called H2, so I guess it is obvious this style handles getting wet really well!! I understand what people mean when they mention a difference in these shoes based on where they are manufactured. My first pair was size 10 and made in Vietnam. My second pair was also size 10 but made in Mexico. I truely love them both, but they are different. I found the pair made in Vietnam to be a little longer than the ones made in Mexico. Because of the bungy cord, I just cinched up the longer pair a little more and that fixed the issue for me! The pair made in Mexico fit my foot perfectly and I didn't have to work at all on getting them cinched up to fit my foot. That was pretty special. It is important to note that I sprained my knee and got slight tears in my miniscus in early July and these have been my go to shoes during my recouperation. Very simply, these shoes make me feel so secure with the support they provide. The rubbery toe bed makes them feel so sturdy, too. These shoes are very comfortable. I am someone who likes a wide footbed in the toe area of my shoes. As far as I am concerned, these shoes couldn't be any better! As I mentioned there is the capability to cinch the bungy cord and make them perfect for your feet. Now that is pretty great, from my perspective. Certainly these shoes can be rather pricey but just check out the colors available in your size, and you will find the price varies from color to color. I believe they are a good value because they seem to be well made and I believe I will get more than my money's worth out of them.

I like this shoe it just got delivered today, but it is too tight for me. I have all my shoes in size 9 and this just feels too snug so I’m returning it, This makes me feel the product run small The toolbox looked big enough, but it is tighter than the TEVA I have, maybe it’s just narrower So I am ordering the next size up. It’s a fun looking thing and I find sneakers too confining. Just hoping this will work.

I wore my KEEN Newport H2 sandals throughout my Hawaii trip, and they were perfect for all our adventures. They were comfortable, supportive, and great for hiking, walking, and exploring rocky or wet areas. The toe protection was especially helpful, and they dried quickly after getting wet. Even after wearing them for long days, my feet stayed comfortable and I did not get any blisters. They were definitely one of the best things I packed, and I highly recommend them for travel and outdoor activities.

Yep! Still in love with the quality of my KEEN wear. I’ve been waiting for the right color print to capture Fall and 100% satisfied! Read the reviews, and the highlighted “frequently returned for being too tight warning” but happy I trusted my gut. Cursed with high arches and narrow feet these were perfectly sized for my needs. I love how versatile they go from casual wear, walking aside or through creeks or streets. TY KEEN for consistent quality yr to yr!

I've loved Keens forever. I have owned and worn several different styles (both sandals and hiking shoes/boots). They've always been my go-to because of the wide toe box and comfort. My old pair of Newport H2s that I've worn for many years are looking ragged, so I bought a new pair. These are NOT the Newports of old. For one thing, my old ones are a size 8. I read the reviews of the news ones before I bought them that said sizing now runs small...so I bought 8.5. Good thing I did because they are *just* long enough without any room to spare. That I could live with. But...overall these are considerably narrower than the old Newports. I used to have plenty of room for my toes and feet to spread, but in these, gone is the wide toe-box. My feet were squished into them. Also, it feels like there's less room overall because the upper part presses into the top of my feet and within 5 minutes of walking in my house I felt a couple of hot spots forming. I have fairly normal feet--average, not wide, I don't have a high arch. I don't think someone with high arches or wide feet would even be able to get these on. Overall, I'm really sad and disappointed that Keen has chosen to change the shape and fit of a classic that many people have worn and loved for years. I'm returning these and will have to hope my old ones hold out for another summer. Edited and upped it to 3 stars instead of 1. I decided to give the Newports one last shot and I ordered a size 9. You guys, I've never worn a 9 in any shoe in my life. But since the 8.5s were barely long enough and they were tight, I figured I'd try a 9. I honestly wasn't expecting them to work. But...shockingly they did work. They're the right length, and even though they're still more narrow than my old size 8s, they're comfortable enough. So...I'm still not giving these full marks because the sizing is so off and they're narrower. But I'll be keeping the 9s and wearing them, so that's a plus. I will caution people to size up on these. Again, I wear an 8 in most all regular shoes (including sandals), and an 8.5 in running shoes for the extra wiggle room. On these, I had to get a 9.

今年の７月に購入しました。口コミを参考にして、いつもは23.5㌢のスニーカー（他の靴も）を履いていますが0.5㌢大きい物を購入しました。履き始めは硬い感じもしましたが、今はとても快適です。爪先がカバーされててホールド感もしっかりあるので運転時にも安心して使えます。すでに秋になりましたが今年は猛暑がまだ続いているのでまだまだ大活躍してます。

まだ履きだしたばかりで若干硬さがあるので、靴下を履いて慣らし履きしています。
