The Newton computer-watch by Cressi is a recreational advanced tool. It will provide all the necessary information in regards to depth, dive times, possible need of decompression, ascent rate and all the surface intervals between dives. Nitrogen absorption and release is continuously processed by its sophisticated software, taking into account the quantity of inert gas contained in the different mixtures that can be used. This information is shown on the device’s display due to the PCD (Priority Compartment Digit Display) system that allows an easy and direct “dialogue” between the diver and the computer, ensuring a clear understanding of all the data needed at any given time and a perfect readability in any situation. The computer is provided with clock, chronograph and calendar and a versatile dive memory (logbook). The mathematical model of Newton can make saturation and desaturation calculations of dives carried out both with air and with nitrox during any moment of the dive. In this last case, you can set all the parameters related to the mixture of our dive: from the maximum allowed PO2 value (between 1.2 bar and 1.6 bar), to the mixture’s oxygen percentage (FO2): between 21% and 99% of O2. Additionally, the device may be set by the user for either metric (m-ºC) or feet system (ft- ºF). The Newton dive computer-watch can be connected to a personal computer by means of the Cressi interface (accessory not included) and the related software (accessory not included).

Highly Recommended Dive Watch Computer
I have used the Cressi Leonardo Computer for at least 4 years and I really love it. The Newton software is the same and when I wanted to upgrade my dive computer, the choice was easy. So, I bought the Cressi Newton, and this is my review to describe this dive watch computer based on my daily use as a watch and some scuba diving that I did in the last few months (1 was a night dive). This is my positive experience with the Newton:• Newton is elegant and has a beautiful design around my wrist. Many people liked the computer and gave me compliments.• The watch is lightweight and it does not bother me to wear it every day. The metal components are in titanium, so besides being really light, there was no issue in salt water.• The display is easy to read, numbers are big and in the right place during my dives; same experience I had with the Leonardo computer.• Good watch functionality -- you can set the alarm clock, dual time function.• Alarm and light are loud and bright. No issues here.On the negative side, there is no free-diving function on the Newton, but I do not free-dive…yet, so I would look for a specific free-dive watch in that case; so this is not really a negative aspect. Looking online, I have also noticed that there is not one product considered being perfect for divers and free-divers, so I chose the Newton and I am very happy with it.Fast shipping and great service, 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this dive watch.

Very nice looking watch that you can wear everyday
Very nice looking watch that you can wear everyday, the display is easy to read and comes with a magnifying attachment for diving. Very happy with this purchase. The functions are quite easy to figure out and set up. I previously wrote a bit of a negative review about the lack of service or tech support. I had a concern that a setting wasn't working properly, and I was looking for video's or reviews on this watch and there were none, I had also had gone to the Cressi web site and found nothing in the way of videos on how this watch functions. But I finally sent Cressi an Email which is your only option. And they responded within a day with a name and contact number of a Cressi Representative, I phoned and left a message saying I would try again tomorrow, and within an hour they returned my call. So in retrospect I made a mistake their service and support it is very good, I should have trusted the Cressi name, only wish they would do more with the how to use video's !

Arrived with a dead battery.
Arrived with a dead battery. Ordered this from 2 different vendors and both times the computer arrived with dead batteries. Disappointing!

Dead battery
Pretty disappointing it comes with a dead battery for such a high end watch. Can’t even test the watch to see if it works. Had to order a battery. The grey Cressi box it comes in was dirty and beat up. Hopefully the watch works great for my dives because they’re not winning anyone over with the presentation.

Defective Bezel Text
This watch looks very nice except that the text on the bezel appears to be double printed/blurry. If this was a $20 watch I wouldn't care but for $500 I expect higher quality. I have not even had the chance to use this under water as I don't want to hurt my chances of getting it replaced.

Really good
Great bit of kit.The screen is a little small for me, but that's my fault as I'm getting older.I ended up buying a mask with a pair of 'reader' inserts to solve the problem,Easy to operate and small enough to wear as a watch when travelling to save having to bring watch and computer.

bought in january dived this week first time. Decompression time is abnormal tells me to do a safety stop 40 minutes at 5 meters depth slarm goes off. Ruined my diving time and risked serious injuries due to confussion.

Ottimo!
