Great for kittens
I bought this for a cat rescue group. This is what they feed to kittens.

Very helpful
I bought this for a special needs kitten (SugarCheddar) at 6 weeks old. He had several eye infections and I used antibiotic eye ointment which cleared it up, but by then he had fallen behind in growth and was much smaller than his litter mate brother (SpiceBarry). I figured that the infection had sapped his calories and kept him from growing as much. But then I noticed that he wasn't walking very well and wasn't developing like his brother. It reminded me of a toddler with cerebral palsy.I had some tuna juice on my fingers from feeding it to his mother (Sunflower) and SugarCheddar tasted it and went crazy trying to bite my finger. So I got him an eye dropper full of tuna-water and he was so hungry that I realized that he was starving. Apparently, his developmental problems, mostly low muscle tone and jerky movements were preventing him from nursing adequately and he wasn't able to get enough nutrition from his mom, Sunflower.I had to get him something to eat fast, so I looked up solutions on the Net. There was a cat infant formula on some of the sites which involved mixing evaporated milk with a whole egg, Pedialyte, and baby vitamins but I was uncomfortable with the raw egg since raw eggs are loaded with bacteria, and I didn't have any Pedialyte or baby vitamins. So I just diluted some evaporated milk a little and fed that to him.All I had was an eye dropper and I thought he was going to bite the tip off, he was so hungry. He couldn't control his head movements very well, so I wrapped him in a towel and stabilized his head with my hand while using the eye dropper to feed him. After he was finally fed enough to be happy and full, I got on Amazon and found this product. I had it immediately shipped out along with the "PetAg® Complete Nursing Kits & Replacement Nipples for Small Animals" and "KMR® Powder for Kittens & Cats, 12oz". I kept him on the evaporated milk until the KMR liquid came in - he likes it a lot more and is eating even better now with the KMR liquid.SugarCheddar is bright, inquisitive, happy, and in no pain. He loves his Mom and his brother -- and his humans. I'm hoping that once he has a few weeks of growth and exercise his muscles will get stronger and that he will be able to overcome his lack of coordination so that he'll be able to develop more normally. His mom and the other cats love this stuff too -- if they get a chance they'll lick the cup where I warm his milk. I haven't tried the dry powder formula yet - the single can I bought lasts several days with just a single small kitten to feed.My only concerns are the price and the fact that it is in a pull-tab can. It would have been much easier it they'd packed it in a bottle with a lid. And it is a bit expensive. Hopefully, the powder will work just as well -- I'll review it when I use it.

Lifesaver
I found a baby raccoon in the yard and this was recommended to help feed him. This kept my little raccoon baby alive and he did so well. He was able to go outside and be free to live his life. So thank you very much. Good product. Highly recommend for kittens of course.

excellent
normally buy the 8oz cans that were 2.24 so to not waste any but, price went up on those and these here 11oz were nicely priced at an add-on price of 3.27 so grabbed a few. Was totally suprised at how they arrived, unlike 8ozs cans, not one of the 11oz were dented in any way for all but, 1 out of 10 were individually bubble wrapped. nice packaging for a change!these kmr 'liquid' milk version are excellent, our once tiny kittens with runny pooping problems love it and ended up growing and gaining weight quickly and are now almost at weight they should be at 8-9wks. they will meow their behinds off until i give them some of this milk, i often end up having to add some on top of their wet food just so they will eat it. even when they eat most of their meals without it, they meow for their milk afterwards..must be yummy!we tried the powder version too but, it doesn't seem to be of same quality and kittens would not drink it. recommend liquid but, not the dumb down powder version!**the 12pk for currently 9.95 'Soda Pop Tops' can lids fits and seals these perfectly, even shook & tilted opened can sideways and nothing leaked out. thinking with these lids being airtight, you could probably leave the can out of fridge all day without needing to rewarm milk IF you are going to use whole can in one day.

4 Happy Kittens
Mama cat is ill and stopped producing milk. Cannot nurse while on meds so I've had to step in. Ran out of replacement milk for the morning feed. Very grateful for Amazon overnight delivery and this product, kmr milk replacement as the kittens took to it immediately and everyone's tummy is full, sleeping in the box and happy...except Eleanor Mouse who lives in a house shoe.
