Want to know if they will work to color mysecret garden book by johanna basford, and wont cover the lines of the drawing? any preferences ? 88/68 ?

The darker colors (dark brown, dark grey, black) may cover the lines, but the others wouldn't. However, I think the tips for the 68s would be too thick for the Secret Garden book. There are larger sections where the 68s would be fine, of course, but the 88s are perfect--I actually use those and colored pencils for my copy.

I'm just starting out and looking at all of the markers and reviews, I'm confused. Which is fine and which is not so fine for filling in? 68, 88?

I started with stabilo markers and have nothing to compare them to as far as other brands. I can tell you however that the 68s have a 1mm tip and are great for filling in and designs with thicker outlines. The 88s have a .4mm tip and are great for detail work and designs with fine outlines. I have both for all situations and I have been happy.

Does this pack call out which colors each pen is?

The pens themselves do not list what color they are. The colors do however closely resemble the color of each pen.

Are these markers washable? I am considering them for my 7 year old but also have younger children in the house.

I don't think so once they are dry.
