Lockly visage facial recognition is the ultimate smart lock for my home and yours too!
Haven't used it much since I'm away from home but in the short time i have used it i can honestly say this is the one! No need for a Bluetooth or wifi connection to rely upon to autounlock. The facial recognition solves that issue. I can see why the battery life is so long. Facial recognition is almost immediate but like I said I've only used it a few times. Build quality is like no other smart lock I've tried to date. Very solid feel to it. The dead bolt operation manually is ultra smooth. On my previous lock sets there was usually a spot that hung up. And if I tightened the lock to the door too tight the motor wouldn't be able to get passed that hang up and register as jammed. With the lockly I was able to really crank the inner plate down tight and no hang up what so ever. The door sensor wasn't an issue for me as many people had made it seem. To be honest from what I'd seen, people didn't try hard to install it correctly and didn't take the time to route the wire properly through the provided slots on the back plate of the inner door lock. The magnetic trigger sat discreetly on the inside of the surround molding of my door, is completely out of the way from getting snagged and knocked off by anything. The app is simple yet effective. I have the autolock set to immediately lock after closing. The alerts are also immediate no delays open/ close, lock/ unlock. Installation was breeze. Overall I am extremely pleased with the lockly visage facial recognition lock. If there's any reason to edit, I'll be back to give my opinion but for now Lockly has easily earned my 5 stars. Great job!

Lockly Visage – Seamless Security, Innovation, and Outstanding Support
This is my second Lockly lock, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I first bought a Lockly a few years ago for our old home, and it has been working seamlessly ever since. Now that we’re moving into a new house, it was an easy decision to upgrade to the latest Lockly Visage. We love it even more this time around. One of the things I really appreciate about Lockly is that the company has been around for years and has consistently led the way in innovation and quality. You can really see the difference in Visage—the facial recognition feature is a game changer. It makes daily life so much easier, especially when your hands are full with groceries, kids, or luggage. The lock recognizes every family member’s face almost instantly, and the accuracy gives us confidence that it’s both convenient and secure. Installation was surprisingly simple. We followed the step-by-step video guide on Lockly’s website, and it only took about 30 minutes total—even with removing the old lock. That’s a huge plus for anyone who wants to set it up themselves without hiring a professional. Connectivity has also been flawless. The built-in Wi-Fi is stable, and we’ve had zero issues accessing the lock through the Lockly app. Remote management and monitoring are smooth, and we love knowing we can control and check the lock from anywhere. On top of all that, the customer service has been outstanding. It’s refreshing to deal with real people who genuinely care, not just automated responses. Every time I’ve reached out with a question, I’ve been able to speak with a knowledgeable and friendly agent who made me feel valued as a customer. That human touch really sets Lockly apart. Overall, the Lockly Visage has exceeded our expectations. Between the sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and the reliability we’ve already experienced with our first Lockly lock, this has been a fantastic upgrade. This company truly stands behind its products, and I am a very happy Lockly customer.

Best smart lock available
I have had many smart locks over the years. Multiple Kevos, a couple of Augusts and a level lock. Nothing compares to the Lockly Visage Zeno. I’m not going to go through the litany of features it has. Just going to focus on how we use it. It was easy enough to install. Took me maybe an hour. I setup everyone in my family with a code, their fingerprints and the face scan. Super easy in all cases. The facial scan works so well its all any of us have used. It unlocks within a second or two every time. Zero issues with connectivity unlike every other smart lock I have had. It comes with two rechargeable batteries. More than 9 months in I am still on the first battery. 28 pct. I will switch this weekend. My August burned through 2 expensive 123 batteries every three weeks. My wife and kids have complained about every other lock we’ve had. They have all thanked me for getting this one. Expensive as heck I know. But worth it. Raining, hands full - all good. It unlocks in an instant without touching it.

Feature Rich but Disappointing (Updated)
Update: After two weeks of technical support with Lockly, we were able to resolve the issue. Base level of support was still pretty confused about KB articles but once I got to the engineering team, things started moving in the right direction. I still don't know what the issue was completely. They said they changed things on the backend but it didn't work (or at least immediately). From my perspective, once I got the latest Lockly update, the locks started working really smoothly. All features are now accessible. I'm changing my original rating from 3 to a 5 star review because with access to all of the features, things are incredibly smooth and the engineering team at Lockly were persistent and fast, all things considered. ------------------------------------- So there were good and bad things about the lock. Note that I got 3 for my house and not the largest house. I've always had strong WiFi signal to the edge of my property. Pros: - Feature rich. The unlocking options from fingerprint scanning to facial recognition to the Apple Home Key were awesome. It's cool being able to walk up to my door and the facial recognition will immediately unlock the door by the time you reach for the handle. - PIN Genie Keypad. Some people don't like it but I personally do. I like that it basically scrambles the number so you're never pressing the same buttons. Although not the most intuitive, it's a valuable security feature. - Physical Key. A physical key was important to me. Some locks uses a proprietary key or it's unclear that you could rekey it. Lockly uses a Schlage style lock so you can rekey it to any Schlage lock. We got all of our locks keyed alike at a local locksmith pretty quickly. - Installation was a breeze. I got all 3 physically installed in about 30 minutes. It was straightforward and only requires a flathead and a phillips screwdriver. Cons: - WiFi connectivity is unstable. This is the crux of my issues with the Visage Zeno. Setting up all 3 were fine but out of the 3 I've installed, 1 only holds a connection and that's only semi reliable. The other 2 can't hold a connection with WiFi at all. I've tried changing my network around to be only 2.4Ghz, and tried different access points (Netgear Orbi, Netgear Nighthawk, Linksys, and Ubiquiti) with different configurations and it never worked. Since certain features like the air transfer feature (the feature where you can copy credentials for a family member) rely on the WiFi connection, it makes this value proposition useless. This is important because Air Transfer is the only way you can duplicate access codes or else the system won't let you do duplicate access codes even if it's for the same person since the app sees every individual profile as a unique user. - Lockly help guides are lacking. It seems like the Visage Zeno is too new and none of the help guides were geared towards this model. It felt like I was trying to translate the KB articles rather than being led towards the right direction. - Support was lackluster. I appreciate them trying to help but I had to call back several times before getting to someone. If you're put on hold for too long, they'll point you towards a voicemail but not call back. Once I started talking to someone, they were clearly running through their KB articles. For instance, they were telling me to hit the reset pin at the bottom with a paper clip but the reset button on the Visage Zeno was moved from the bottom to next to the battery. So far, support hasn't been able to solve my problem. Verdict: We decided to keep the lock because the facial recognition and other access features since we won't have too many guests. It's just that we lost anything that comes with WiFi so guest codes, adding family members (easily - we had to setup my significant other manually on each lock), remote unlock/lock, changing auto-lock settings, Air Transfer, etc. If you don't care about some of the WiFi features and you're okay manually setting people up at each lock, then it's worth it because of the amount of access features. Without the WiFi, I don't think it's worth the $350, especially if you have a lot of guests.

Highly recommend Lockly Visage Zeno
I recently purchased the Lockly Visage Zeno smart lock and installed it on my front door. The product arrived next day in good condition. All the parts and pieces are contained within made-to-fit foam packaging so I can't imagine these items ever becoming damaged during shipping. The directions for installation are easy to follow, and all the parts and pieces are labeled with numbers/letters which correspond to the installation instructions, so installing the lock was a breeze and took me about 20 minutes. The lock comes with two lithium batteries so you can alway have one charged up and ready to go. Once I downloaded the app, it was very straightforward to create my user profile, add my fingerprint to the device, and set up the facial recognition feature. The device connected to my home wifi on the first try. Additional users can be added to the access system so I'll probably create a user profile for a good friend and my sister too, so that they can access my apartment if ever needed. I've been using the lock for about three days and I am very happy with the function and performance so far. It's really cool to just walk up to my front door and the facial recognition feature opens the lock instantly. It's my first time using a keyless entry system and I'm very pleased to no longer have to worry about forgetting my keys when I leave the house. My dad has an apartment building and he's always complained about having to service and maintain access issues for the tenants, I'm going to recommend this product to him and I think it will streamline the access issues he's dealt with for so many years. I also intend to install this product in an Airbnb that I manage because I can see that it will simplify the process of providing temporary access to the guests who rent the house. I researched many options before choosing Lockly, I'm extremely happy with the quality and reliability of this product, and I think it is worth the price paid.

It's a Smart Lock that's not very smart.
This is a nice product so I should give it more stars but people don't read reviews unless it is 5 stars or 1 star. So let me say the quality of the product, the facial recognition and finger print scanning works great. But there are too many things that doen't make this a smart lock. 1. It has a magnetic sensor to know when the door is open or closed, but when using auto-lock it does't use that sensor. So, if auto-lock is set for 5 sec. and the door is open for more than 5 sec. the lock will operate the dead bolt to the lock position even though the door is open.lock the door. So now if I close the door the dead bolt will hit the door jam. I don't know why it will operate when it knows the door is open. 2. Auto-Lock can't be programmed to lock the door during certain times. I would like it to lock the door between 9pm to 6am so that way it will lock the door if i forget to lock the door before I go to bed. 3. The programming it does have for a specific period of time is dumb. So, if I want to set the time period from 9pm to 6am, it won't do it because it will only program it to 11:59pm. It will not program it 6am because it considers that a different day. 4. Status of the door lock is not available. So if you are outside, in front of the door, if the lock operates, open or close, a green led light will show during the operation, but you don't know that status of the operation. It should green when the lock opens and red for when it locks. Now you know your door is locked. 5. Inside the house, especially at night, when you can't see the lock from a distance, it should use the led to flash green every 6 sec if the door is unlocked and red if the door is locked. That way you know the status of the door from across the room without having to walk to the door to check that it is locked. Even the cheap electric lock I had previously did that. I am hoping that Lockly will come up with an update soon that will correct these issues. It seems to me that this is just programming, not a hardware issue.

I’m debating buying a second one!
I moved into a house that was long time lacking in TLC, and I am by no means a DIY kind of person. The house had a Yale x Nest on it which worked fine for a while and then started eating batteries before becoming unreliable. I put alot of research into what lock I wanted because as you’ll see in the video the door frame and trim need to go up and the door needs a serious washing and painting and I wanted something functional that would look nice once the project is done - but, unfortunately, I couldn’t really wait to replace the lock until then. I went with the black lock because the door will ultimately be painted pink and the door knob was black which meant one less thing to buy in a never ending financial “to pick up” list. I started my search wanting something that could integrate with both iOS and Android operating systems without needing a separate app. For clarity, I do have the Lockly app and I do use that for controlling the lock settings but I can also use it in Apple HomeKit and my guy can use it with whatever homekit’s equivalent is for Android. The one feature of this lock that put it in the forerunner spot prior to purchase was that I can use my watch or my phone to unlock it, too. For me that was something I hadn’t considered but it incredibly functional because I’ve always got my Apple Watch on (but don’t always have my phone). Once the box arrived I was shocked at how heavy it was and upon opening the box it was clear that the lock itself it incredibly well built. It was easy to install and it’s beautiful. I’m happy I went with the black because I think it’ll achieve the look I’m going for once everything is finished. Now, I’m going to start with the con because it’s much shorter. The little flap to protect the screen is cheap as hell. I wish it was a little firmer or felt a little more stable but it’s very flappy. Having said that, it does NOT come on the lock. You place it with a little sticky thing. I wish it was hinged and not sticky because maybe that would help. For the pros: 1. The app is flawless. 2. It will prioritize Bluetooth over WiFi (but you can change this if you want in the settings) to preserve battery and it will automatically default to the least battery draining option. 3. The batteries are USB rechargeable. And, Lockly provides you with two batteries. 4. They give you two manual keys just in case of power outages or something but you can recore the lock. I didn’t, but if I get another one I will as to keep all the house the same key. 5. You can select times for certain functions. For example: if you have a cleaning lady on Mondays and don’t want to give her a code, you have automate it to be unlocked between certain time frames. 6. You can choose to have the lock automatically relock at a set time frame after being unlocked. I have mine set for 30 seconds because if I need it unlocked for longer I just disable the auto lock. Now, a couple things that would make me reorder another one or add another: The usage log tells me who’s entering the house and how they unlocked it. You can add multiple fingerprints for the same user. I added my thumb and forefinger because it’s not uncommon to have my hands full of items and it’s just easier sometimes. Also, if someone had larger hands some angles are tough to read and so having the backup is nice. I can choose who has access, I can rescind access, and I can choose which type of access they have. For example: nobody, other than me, needs my lock to open with facial recognition… except my Dad. My Dad is elderly and this is really easy for him. The scrambling numbers on the key pad frustrate him and his phone is literally just a phone and he’s too distrusting of the government to put his fingerprint in there.. so, unbeknownst to him, I set up facial recognition that way when he approaches the lock will open. The door does chime when it re-locks, but it’s not loud and you quickly become accustomed to it and it doesn’t phase me. That said, if you want, you can turn it off. I love being able to remotely check to ensure the door is locked and I also love being able to use HomeKit for this. I did set up an easy 4 digit code through HomeKit for my Dad as the Lockly app wants at least 6. The HomeKit and Lockly apps really integrate well together. I wasn’t thrilled with the price point of this lock but I’ve been using it for a couple months now and I truly wouldn’t hesitate investing in their products going forward. Oh, and, one last point - my entire block last power last week during a storm. I did have my physical key, but the locked worked great without it due to the ability to run off my Bluetooth. All in all, this is a phenomenal product. I’ve included a few screen shots of the app. A couple of them are edited down just so you can see the visual of which user has which opening capabilities without showing personal data. Hope this helps!

Premium Smart Lock That Delivers
I’ve had the LOCKLY Visage Zeno for a few days now, and it’s already one of the best smart locks I’ve used. I chose it for its advanced security features and quick unlock methods—and it absolutely delivers. Installation: If you’ve never replaced a door lock before, installation might be a bit tricky. However, the instructions are clear, and the app includes helpful video tutorials. The app setup itself was very easy and straightforward. Daily Use: I’ve set up fingerprint, PIN, and facial recognition. The face unlock is incredibly fast—the door opens almost instantly as I walk up. I also integrated it with Apple HomeKit, so I can unlock the door using my iPhone or Apple Watch if needed. It even has a physical key backup in case of a power outage, which adds peace of mind. What I Like: The fingerprint and facial recognition are the standout features—both are lightning fast and very reliable. The variety of unlock options is also a big plus. What Could Be Improved: I’ve had occasional connection drops, though I think it might be due to weak Wi-Fi near my door. Also, the eKey/eBadge feature doesn’t always send notifications properly to the recipient, which could use a software update. Buyer Tips 1) Have tools ready: Phillips/flat screwdrivers, USB-C charger, and a well-lit install area. 2) Prep the Bluetooth: Download the Lockly Home app and locate your activation card before set up. 3) Consider aesthetics: Be ready to tuck the sensor cable or choose a lock location where it's less visible. --- **Pros:** 1. Hands-free facial recognition 2. Fast, reliable biometrics (facial recognition and fingerprint) 3. Multiple unlock methods + smart home integration 4. Rechargeable battery system 5. Built-in Wi-Fi, Apple HomeKit, and Apple Home Key support **Cons:** 1. Installation can take around 1 hour and involves some wiring 2. Door sensor cable may be visually noticeable depending on your setup 3. Premium price point (around $349) Final Thoughts: Overall, I’d rate it 9/10. It’s a premium-priced product, but totally worth it for the speed, security, and smart home integration. Highly recommend if you're looking for a top-tier smart lock

Very easy to install
The lock is extremely easy to install. Immediately after installation, all the features except fascial recognition worked perfectly. I couldn't get the lock to recognise me. I was offered support by Lockly and after a firmware update I was able to add my face. It now works brilliantly. Having two long lasting interchangeable batteries is very handy.

It does everything all in one, connects to everything, electronically and physically secure
I don’t normally write comments or reviews but this lock deserves the time and effort, I can’t speak highly enough of it. Now I’ve fully tested and happy with it’s functionality, I’m ordering 2 additional the same for other doors on the house. I purchased the Lockly Visage after doing a lot of research trying to find a smart lock that would do everything I needed, in particular I wanted it to work with Apple Home (without a separate hub for the lock itself) and most importantly Apple Home Key. Whilst I wasn’t looking for facial recognition I now find I’m using this more than unlocking the door with my Apple watch or PIN. I used a local locksmith to re-key the override key to my other house keys and install the lock, the process was simple and went with no issues at all, I’m not the best handyman but after watching the locksmith install and a number of utube videos I believe I could have just done this myself. The setup process was simple, I just followed the instructions and had it all up and running and connected to Apple Home in about 5 minutes. The lock is installed on my shed/garage, with access to Apple Home I can run a simple automation to turn on lights etc whenever the door is opened and lock the door at 6pm each night or when I leave home, no more wondering ‘did I lock the shed’ when I go to bed each night! My positives to using this lock: - Simple install and set-up. - Connect to Apple Home and can use Home Key from my phone or watch. - The override key was a must and was easily re-keyable to my other keys. - The PIN or fingerprint reader for access on the odd occasion when I don’t have the phone or watch, but I’ve found the facial recognition is easier. - The door sensor to know when the door is open or closed, whilst its still early days I find myself checking in the app to see if its closed and locked, it hasn’t missed yet and I’m sure my trust will build as time goes on. There is one negative with the door sensor, see suggestions below. - The rechargeable battery, this was a big plus, no buying standard batteries. It comes with 2 so I have a second battery charged ready to go when one gets low. In saying that the lock has been installed for 2 weeks and I have certainly given it a workout, and the indicator still says 97%. - The Lockly support is great, I contacted them multiple times prior to the purchased and always received a reply on the next business day, thanks Sol for answering my many questions. - I quizzed my locksmith on how solid and secure the lock was during the install, he said it was a great lock and well built (the locksmith I used doesn’t sell Lockly so there was no benefit to him singing its praises). My suggested improvements: - The door sensor looks like an afterthought, there is a small cable and you need to attach the sensor to the door and the magnet to the frame. Whilst this is quite small, easy to attach and works perfectly, it doesn’t look great if you are a bit pedantic like myself. When I contacted Lockly, there is an improvement on the way, they didn’t mention when but it will be built into the lock. - For the Lockly app, it’s simple and works great but there isn’t an option to have the door lock at a specific time of day, only to lock after a period of time (5, 10, 60, etc minutes), you can customise the number of minutes until it locks but I would have preferred to also have a time of day option, for example lock at 6pm at night if it’s still unlocked. In saying that I was able to achieve this using a very simple automation in Apple Home. My final comment – It does everything all in one, connects to everything, electronically and physically secure, great lock and thoroughly recommend it.

Well constructed block
The lock works mostly pretty well. I really love the fingerprints sensor setting up. Requires a great deal of patience, but it’s a very good luck very well constructed and I was having issues, but the manager of the company in Australia has been extremely helpful.
