Best I've Found
The best looking cadet cap I've ever owned (brown with leatherette brim), and I've owned many. Wish they made a fitted version, but that's a minor complaint - the cap fits well, looks great, and seems very well made. This is a symmetrical cap with the back the same height as the front, which I prefer. Some cadet caps have the back cut taller so the top rests more flat or level. The stock pics don't include a good side profile to show this, so I thought I'd mention it.

Good fit, but the forest green color fades after one California summer. I'll order again, but maybe in black next time.

Great hat, really happy with it
I've been looking for a hat forever to replace one I got from the Surfrider Foundation years ago and wore to a thread. Sadly, most of the 'cadet cap' styles I'd looked at and bought had a brim depth that was too short and small in general and titled down slightly in a way I didn't like. And they weren't quality cotton. This one is really nicely made, sturdy smooth cotton. The brim is not quite as deep as the cap I'm replacing (3"), but it's definitely more substantial than others (2 1/2" deep but maybe wider than other such caps? not sure but it just looks much better), and I think this is going to work for me. Finally. Phew!

Best Hat I Ever Owned
My second hat of this type, incredible quality. They say not to wash it in the machine but I've done it anyway several times. It lasted probably a good three years of rough usage before the front fabric store to a point it had to be replaced. If you don't like the pleater trim, they do make one without it. Felt snug and absorbed sweat fairly well. Did discolor a little after time due to sweat so keep that in mind.
