Fun for Kids
My granddaughter loves this. Do be prepared to untie lots of knots.

Simple and yet so entertaining!
Simple and yet so entertaining! This toy is just a wooden dowel with a bead at the end that holds the silk ribbon. However, it works like a charm. It twirls and spins with such simple ease. The silk creates a shimmer as the rainbow colors create a colorful fluid spin. The price is good, because the silk is sewn into a tube which doubles its strength. My only criticism is that the wooden dowel was a little rough which could cause the silk to fray. I solved the rough wood problem with a little piece of #800 sandpaper. The bead and the silk connection is also a little loose. A sight tug and it started to loosen up a little. Overall, I think this is a wonderful product. I would definitely purchase this again.

Very Long, THIN material may not last
I bought these for my three-year-old (almost 4-year-old) twins. Please keep in mind that my boys are above average in height. The 8 foot streamer is incredibly long for a three-year-old, and frequently tangles. I think the toy as it is is better suited towards ages 5+ But having said that, I really do like the idea of the toy. And my children love it. They just get sad when it tangles, or when they can seem to make it “fly” (because of length). Also, the silk ribbon does not seem like it will hold up well over constant use. It’s extremely thin, which I’m sure is helpful in letting it fly, but for $12 per toy, you’d think that they would come up with something slightly more sturdy, or lower the price. For $24 plus tax (plus shipping and handling), I could’ve made several myself (and a shorter length) for much cheaper. I may do that anyways, and save these longer ones for when the boys are little older that way they can handle the longer silk.

Not my Favorite Sarah's Silk product
I was so excited to try a Sarah's Silk for the first time! I don't think I should have started with the wand, it was poorly made and it broke almost immediately. The silk's were so lovely that I tried to salvage the silk, but I didn't. Not the most function item, and it didn't lend for the most creative play. I was a little worried about my kids poking each other's eyes out with the wand, too... it was the perfect size. Anxiety is fun! If I were to purchase another Sarah's Silk product, it would be a large silk that can be used as a "blanket" or a "cape" or a fort, something more open ended for creative play.

Lovely And Popular
My 14 year old son was playing with a cat toy similar to this, and I informed him that they also make these for humans. I looked around on the internet and found this one. It was longer than I was expecting it to be, and I was worried about the durability of the wood stick. We're over two months later, and the stick is still in one piece. The silk is longer than I was expecting. He's shown it to multiple family members and they've all thought it was awesome. Our best friends came over (2 adults, 3 kids) and loved it, and will be getting some for their kids. Pros: colorful, fun, exercise, decent price, very soft fabric, screen-free entertainment, the patterns you can make with it Cons: as would be expected, it knots easily

Fun
Can’t testify to longevity yet, but it lasted all of Christmas day with everyone using it! Very fun item, definitely sized for a child. It didn’t knot up too easily, so that’s good. The ribbon is not very wide, and twists into a “rope” very quickly- however, this doesn’t hamper the flow at all. It’s just good to know what you are getting. This not a large, fancy, wide ribbon that you would see an olympic gymnast or professional ballerina using- it is a fun toy perfect for 4-10 year olds!

Not the best unfortunately
There’s a heavy canvas tag in the middle of the silk streamer that interferes with the gliding effect. I’ve purchased much better streamers for a fraction of the cost. Upsetting because I wanted to love it.

Idea is nice but not very durable
The fabric is nice and vibrant but has already started fraying, and the little "cap" piece that covers where the fabric is glued on came off, both on the first day.

Wooden stick handle is rough & unfinished
Beautiful item but the stick handle was rough and unfinished. For a child's hand, a better quality finish on the wood is necessary. The product was enchanting and wonderful for imaginative play.
