The brown is exactly my hair shade. Its easy enough to use. The only thing its definitely only for thin hair. It worked for my sisters thinner hair but not for my thick hair. I also found that the bun seems to stick out away from the head a bit more than I’d like, but with a scrunchie its fine.

You need to work a little to make the bun because it has velcro-like material on the outside. It sticks to your hair and makes it hard to slide into the bun.

Update: lost one and the other one unglued and unraveled rendering it useless., reduced star rating to 2. (My original one, different brand and design, still works after a decade of use, but the material wrapped around the snap bracelet is wearing thin at the edges) The fibers that wrap around seem like a nice idea to make it look more like hair in case it peaks out, but that really isn't an issue. What is an issue is the wrapped fibers grabs your hair and pulls it when taking this thing out. +++++++ a bit shorter than another one I have. This automatically makes for a smaller tighter bun. That can make it harder to get all the hair. This one is also stiffer than the other one I have making it a little more challenging to snap in place. it has hairlike wrapping that maybe is better for if it peaks out, but it's actually a little rough on your hair when taking it out. This double slap bracelet style of bun maker is in general a little tricky to get lined up right so once wrapped in your hair it will snap into place in the right direction. I often have to do a few attempts. Overall, I really like this style of bun maker and use to pit my hair up when working out. It is far more gentle on hair than putting in a pony tail or ponytail, swirl into bun, and second tie as that seems to put a lot more strain on the strands of hair causing breakage. But these types of bun makers distribute the tension better and I don't notice hair breakage..

LOVE! These are SO much better than all the other gadgets I’ve tried. If you’ve used a donut of any type, you will find using these even easier. If you haven’t, no worries. The learning curve is steep. For me, donuts took multiple tries to get my hair right, and within a couple hours my bun would flop around and fall. With one of these snap gadgets, my hair goes up on the first try. Even better, it STAYS up all day long, with a hold that is firm without pinching, pulling, or damage. Bliss. My hair is long and “pokey”, i.e. aggressively straight. Taken in total it is a thick bundle, but each individual hair is baby fine. Strange but true. “You’re a chinchilla”, says my partner. This means my hair is incredibly slippery and hard to style and manipulate. It won’t hold curl and traditional gadgets always slide out within minutes. It also damages easily. It will not tolerate abuse of any kind. I used to rely on the foam-covered type of bun-maker. They were the first thing I ever found that held my hair up for more than 15 minutes. At first I was pleased, but then they turned out to be a disposable product. After a few uses they ripped apart or the metal inside the foam became so kinky and twisted it was useless. What seemed cheap and practical at first turned out to be costly and annoying—like pantyhose—because I had to re-stock every week. And I felt guilty, tossing the plastic packaging, foam, and mangled metal into the trash every few days. These work beautifully for me, and if they work for me they should work for anyone.

Premetto che ho i capelli lisci, elettrici e lunghi poco sotto le spalle, dopo qualche tentativo ed aver affinato la tecnica, funziona! Tiene bene e crea uno chignon molto carino. Basta fare una coda, metterla fra le due listelle, scorrere i capelli in fondo, arrotolare fino alla base della coda e dare l'invito alla listella per chiudersi a forma di cerchietto e... tac tac tac il gioco è fatto! Avendo i capelli lisci ed elettrici qualcuno sfugge, ma mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso la tenuta ed il fatto che non spezzi i capelli, è molto delicato e anche facile da togliere, basta dare alle listelle, prendendone il capo, l'invito per riprendere la forma dritta e tac tac tac si scioglie. Consigliato!
