The bags have a tendency to fuse together even after initial cleaning and use. When you try to pry them apart so you can re-use them, they tear. They seal up nicely and preserve food well, but they do not do what is most important: cut down on plastic in the trash.

These bags are a nice, thick silicone which is great. Be careful when opening them for the first time so that they don't rip as the silicone may stick together. I tried running them in the dishwasher when I first got them but some crumbs from other things stuck on the bottoms on the inside and the outside so I had to rewash them by hand and set them over cups to dry. I love that I am reducing waste by using these and how nice and thick they are. Even with their thickness, they don't squish fragile things like chips/ They seem to work well in the freezer as well. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

These are a great idea. I hate disposable plastic bags-they’re the worst. These help reduce the need for those significantly. But they’re not perfect, so some suggestions for the designers: 1) they’re difficult to clean (I turn them inside out in the dishwasher, which kinda works well). But the issues are the corners of the bag and how it’s designed to close flat for storage as opposed to be easy to clean. 2) maybe design a complimentary rack system designed to keep these open/go in a dishwasher/ airdry the bags? That would help a lot:)

I have many collapsible silicone products in the galley and was looking forward to reusing these and cutting down waste. Two in the package were melded together so that you couldn’t get them open. If that happened in shipping, I don’t think it would tolerate hot food. I still think it is a good idea other than the closure method.

I was a little worried because of the other reviews but I really like these storage bags. We're trying to go environment friendly and this is one of our changes. We love them. They clean well in the top shelf in the dishwasher. I did the water test when I first got them because I wanted to make sure they didn't leak. They all opened ok too no issues with tearing. I'm happy with this change for us.

These work great until they get hot in the microwave. Then the hard plastic strip that closes the bag melts and stretches out of shape. This makes it so the bar will no longer seal the bag, making the product unusable. If the hard plastic strip was made out of plastic that didn't melt when it got hot then these bags would be great. As it is these are pretty much worthless.

On first look stirdy, and feel good to the touch bags. It was probably my fault but i bought these bags to use for cooking Sous Vide styled food, like steaks etc. I didnt realize how thick the plastic was, which makes it impossible to vacuum seal under water if you dont have a vacuum sealer. Also i accidentally punctured the bag while trying to submerge the strak. So for my purposes it didnt work, i should've just bought the standard freezer bags which ill be doing. Ill be using these bags for storage.

Nice thick quality, but difficult to close.
