Wx Phos Focused Chicken and Tilapia Formula in Gravy 5.5oz Can, Pack of 8

My almost 15 year old cat was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and I have been struggling to find food that he will consistently eat. Luckily, I have found he will eat both varieties of Weruva WX Phos Focused flavors that have gravy!! (He will not even touch the "hydrating puree" ones even if the flavor is similar.) I wish there were more flavors available with gravy. I have noticed that he almost never throws up these ones compared to the more expensive prescription kidney foods though. The gravy helps make sure he is hydrated and the food helps him keep weight on. Fingers crossed that he will continue to be happy with these Weruva flavors longterm!

We switched our 10yo Molly to this food when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 CKD. She was really picky when it came to her wet food, but she really enjoyed these. Plenty of gravy in this food to keep their moisture up. The food is finely shredded, making it easy for them to chew. We could not afford to go the Rx route, and adding this wet food and a phosphorus binder got us 14 months from her diagnosis to her passing.

As our family cat has aged, her digestive track has changed. More often than not, she pukes up her food... if she eats at all. Once we changed to this food, she eats every bite and loves it. Just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Unfortunately, this food didn’t work for my cat. He ate it without hesitation, but within a day he started experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. It lasted for about a day or so after eating, and it clearly didn’t sit well with his stomach. Every cat is different, and this might work fine for others, but it wasn’t a good fit for mine.

My elderly cat just won't eat any Weruva food. I can't even keep count of the different varieties that I have tried. For such an expensive food, you would think they could make at least one type my cat would like. Nope, this will be the last one I try.

I am a big fan of Weruva canned foods in terms of they using high quality products while keeping phosphorus and sodium contents for ckd cats in mind. Weruva wx apparently has even lower phosphorus than some of the therapeautic ckd cat foods. Being said that, I deducted 1 star for taste. My cat eats it but begrudgedly. I should mention weruva canned food in general are hit or miss in terms of taste, so have to try some and see what your cat likes. Overall I like this product as a higher protein alternative for ckd cats. As a comparison, most CKD prescription cat diets are low in protein and high in carbs. Plus quality of protein is usually questionable. It is NOT the case for weruva. Weruva use high quality products.

My elderly cat with a kidney condition loves this brand, and he is a fussy eater. I’m thrilled as I have tried several different foods designed for kidney issues,
