Ditch the windows
Bought this for a family member who only emails, surfs, watches movies, plays music and plays some card games. I immediately ditched windows 10, as always with windows operating systems, it is huge, uneccessary bloatware.I installed KDE Neon operating system. The new KDE desktop (breeze theme) is super slimmed down and one of the most beautiful in my opinion. When the HP stream has booted to the desktop (which is very quick), a total of 360mb ram is occupied. Overall, it's very responisive, no lag. Touchpad works great after a little tweaking with the settings and wi-fi has been flawless, connecting in a matter of seconds. All movies play perfectly, xvid, x264 & x265 etc. in full HD.Personally, I think this machine would struggle with Windows 10, but, Linux is a "Breeze" for it.

Small and beautiful but missing essentials
There are a few things missing in this 11+ inch laptop that I received yesterday.1. The battery does not charge at all so works only when power cable is hooked to the wall.2. The disk space is only 32 Gbytes. Once I created my user account only 6 GB of user space was left.3. The right side of the laptop, where power cord is connected becomes quite warm.4. You will see the usual circling sign on the screen as Windows Updates or when you launch an app. This happens on almost any Windows laptop that I have encountered!!

Don't buy it . You get what you pay for !
This computer is junk ! I bought it july 2018 and today it has a frozen screen and I can't use it ! The last few months it's been freezing up and going to a black and white static screen and I have had to shut it down . I'm sorry I bought it. It's cute , it's light , the battery is awesome but the operating system or something is awful! I'm ready to throw it in the trash !

Slow computer
The computer is slow out of the box. I really like the form factor and it was a color my son really wanted too.

Awesome little laptop!
My daughter, who is 8, only asked for a computer for Christmas. I didn't want to spend a ton of money- she's 8! She LOVES it! She streams videos and plays games- it's perfect!

Beautiful and very useful HP Stream 11 netbook
I bought this used, since I'm on a tight budget. I got this to replace my old 2007 MSI Wind U100 (so slow, that it's unusable now). This newer device is 64-bit, not 32-bit.I like that I cannot upgrade the RAM (which is 4 GB). I wish that the eMMC internal hard drive were AT LEAST 64 GB. I tried to upgrade my HP Stream 11's Windows 10 installation so that I could get the 2017 Fall Creators' Update (Upgrade?), but there wasn't enough space left on my drive! I had another, better solution--replace Windows 10 with GNU/Linux (Elementary OS 0.4 "Loki"). It uses far less space than Windows 10 did (only around 9.3 GB now). Even though this is considered low-end hardware, with the new operating system, it seems to be faster and easier to use. If you purchase and insert a 32 GB microSD card, you can save your files and project folders to the card to ensure that you do not use up all of the internal hard drive space. The keyboard is very, very comfortable for typing (I have large hands). It's more comfortable than that of the MSI Wind. I love the chiclet keys--feels like I am typing on a small Apple Macbook Air. The 11.6" widescreen is comfortable--not too small, but not so large to make it cumbersome to take out and about with you. The machine remains very cool--because of the type of internal hard drive, it lacks a ventilation fan. Because there is no ventilation fan, battery life is very good--quite long (many hours, although I really can't recall just how many). This machine will never be a speed demon--video playback on YouTube is a teeny bit slow, but otherwise, this is a good little basic machine for various emailing, music streaming, websurfing, and word-processing tasks. I am very happy with my HP Stream 11 in its cheerful shade of American robin's egg-blue!

Not good at all for saving a lot of pictures
Very disappointing. You can’t save much and not at all good for saving photos. memory is not really good I can’t say much, better off getting a full-size laptop, I’m very disappointed. I’ll never get another one
