I love these highlighters. They are great for using in textbooks, as they don't bleed through the pages and erase easily without smearing the text ink. That being said, it is important to know that these highlighters are HEAT SENSITIVE. I recently tried to use them and all of them had appeared to dry up. The tips of each one were pale and the ink was colorless. I read a few other reviews that said to put them in the freezer, so I did, and after an hour they all work perfectly again! The ink is heat sensitive and becomes colorless when heated. This is what makes them erasable (the heat friction created by the eraser makes the ink colorless). They are really neat, I'd recommend them to any student.

Great highlighters and being able to erase is super cool. Unfortunately don't work well in Bibles as the text is hard to read through the highlights. However, they do work well on regular paper.

I love the frixion pens and highlighters. They erase very well and both care erasable with the same eraser. And you can write and highlight over the same spot. My issue with this was that the purple was a bit too dark to read, and the yellow isn’t as neon as other highlighters. If you are highlighting over pen ink i recommend waiting for the pen ink to dry first and also if you need to go over twice, wait for the highlighter to dry and then go over with the highlighter again. The purple isn’t that big of a deal but I’m a bit disappointed with the yellow since I use neon yellow for most of my highlighting. I am still giving 4 stars though because it erases well and are great quality. The pastel ones I have have lasted me years and never dried out, so I’m sure these will be the same.

Absolutely love these unique highlighters! I use them in text books and when I write notes. Some helpful tips: make sure the ink is dry before erasing- they erase completely like advertised but will smudge the ink on paper and printed text if the ink is not completely dry. Also, it smudges with gel ink but doesn't smudge at all (my experience) with ball point. I have heard from reviews that extreme cold temps will make the erased ink reappear but it must be referring to abnormally cold temps because I have never seen it happen. I give 5 stars because most highlighters have some type of smudging issue but no other highligher has the ability to erase so effectively. And the colors are vibrant and beautiful!

So I love friction brand everything. These highlighters are no exception as they erase clean (the marker itself does) but here are the caveats. Do not erase on thermal paper. Why? You’re generating heat and it causes issues. Don’t leave something with this ink in the hot sun. It isn’t as much of a challenge as with the pens, and with the wave Rocketbooks. Wait until frixion ink is dry before highlighting. They don’t last as long as normal highlighters, but the way I went through white out before these bad boys, I’d rather them wear out faster and look cleaner erased than with white out. I wish they made more highlighters in small plastic containers like this too. Easier to carry all together instead of the cardboard backed five pack you find in store.

The regular colored ones work well. I use them to highlight on my notebooks and also mark cardboard storage boxes. The red (pink), orange, yellow, and green are the colors I find most useful for marking up documents. The blue I found useful for writing on cardboard boxes. Yellow, orange, and red also can work on cardboard but when they initially go on they are very hard to see, they don't show up until well until they have dried. Violet is a bit too dark against my blue ink in my notes and doesn't show up very well on cardboard, so it's the color I use the least. I have found after filling up a notebook with frixion ink the easiest way to erase everything to re-use the notebook is to use a heat gun (a hair dryer may also work) and just flip through the pages while blowing hot air on them. I can get a lot of re-use out of a single notebook this way! I purchased the soft colored ones at a department store a while back (it's all they had) and was disappointed with their performance on non white backgrounds, they were a bit too soft. Not only was the color soft, but it also would soften up and somewhat cloud the text behind what was highlighted. It's like Pilot added white pigment to the color or something. So I wouldn't recommend the soft colors unless they are mainly being used on white backgrounds, but even then they tend to cloud up the text.

Disappointed. The light colours are hard to see highlight, and the dark impossible to use and see text.

Love these! I use highlighters for schedules at work so when people switch shifts it’s easy to change the colour coordination. Easily re-hilight an erased area. The eraser works great. Will buy again when needed.
