This non-toxic odorless product works great! I would recommend it before reaching for the chemical stuff. The key is to comb out the hair while having this product on. It doesn’t kill the lice, but it immobilizes them so they don’t move around, giving you a chance to comb the lice and knits out. If using on long hair, section hair into four sections. Then, apply product to each section thoroughly. Wait ten minutes and then start the comb out one section at a time. Use a metal comb, not the plastic ones. Wipe comb on paper towel after each swipe and rinse with water if necessary. It does take hours to do on long hair, so keep an IPad or book handy for the kids and take breaks. Repeat anytime within ten days if you notice re-infestation, but it worked for us on the first try. Vaccum house and wash sheets in hot water. It’s a lot of work, but it’s necessary, good luck!

This stuff is awesome! My teenager cousin got lice from her other cousins and we tried RID which in my opinions SUCKS! Small bottle and very pricey this stuff covers everywhere and it's not harsh I made her sleep with it on all night and reapplied it on her 2 days later. They were finally out! Buy this product it works wonders and it's not as pricey as other well known brands that suck! Everyone that wrote a bad review probably didn't apply it well and I would honestly keep using it until you use the whole bottle depending on how bad your lice are. Use it all night for two nights. Preferably on a day that you're not going to do anything and stay home. Yes it leaves your hair oily but you have to sacrifice to get those pesticides out! GET OVER IT ! I rather have oily hair for a time being than keep having lice! GROSS

The product works well. But, it is very messy, like vegetable oil. Also, like some other reviews mentioned, the bottles arrived with lose caps and had spilled every where.

Doesn't dry, so you can comb and comb and comb -- and non-allergic chemicals, so much healthier! This is by FAR the best product we have ever tried for treating lice. Slather it on, put in a movie and take all the time you need to comb our nits. Repeat again in 7-10 days for extra insurance that you didn't miss anything, and the problem is SOLVED. Exposure to chemicals can be a huge issue, and repeated exposure can lead to chemical sensitivity, so parents of small children -- really, this is your safer bet. Love this product.

The lids were not on it so when I opened package it was every where. Then I opened plastic the three was in and it really leaked thought it was just one, but all three lids were not closed.

My granddaughter keeps coming home from her mom's with head lice so sadly I battle them every month or two. I have tried every product on Amazon and yes, they all work if you follow the instructions. I have not been able to determine if this works because I used it AFTER the rid and a spray on product I purchase on Amazon as well, and she did not have active lice. She did, however, have nits, and this product (unlike either RID or the spray on product) is all you need for a comb-out with the nit comb. So I have used this to put on her dry hair for 10 minutes and then while she is in the bath I can comb it out easily and fairly quickly. She did not have live bugs in her hair and I couldn't tell if the nits were dead or alive, but after a year and a half of battling I have decided that pesticide free products like this are best for a proactive approach and since I started alternating with this and the leave-in spray, she has not come home with a case of live bugs (or if she has this has killed and removed them). Note - whenever I treat her and she DOES have live bugs, I put this in my own hair while I treat her to prevent getting them myself. It left my hair soft and I simply combed it out with a nit comb in the shower. I sent a bottle of this to her mom's but the problem over there keeps recurring so I simply send her several kits of the harsher RID instead.

I used a product like this and it seemed to work. Combing was awful time consuming and the treatment was very slick if it got on the floor. Anyhow 2 stars because the bottles broke in transit. I usually cut people slack if something is damaged in shipping but the other reviews also indicate this is an issue. Buyer beware! Expect breakage!

Ok so for the price I think the amount given is fair. So far everything works well,it comes with a cheap plastic brush, I'd recommend buying the decent metal ones,but my biggest complaint is how absolutely THICK the product is. It coated the floor of my shower on this icky gunk and its hazardous because it makes the floor very slippery!! It took 3 shampoo lathers to get this stuff completely out of my kids hair.I will say this is one of the only formulas that doesn't stink up your whole house and it seemed safe enough to use on my daughter who has eczema.
