Store this is my basement freezer to ensure longevity and freshness. Epic bargain despite the price going up substantially. I use oats almost daily. The taste is wonderful. Compared to smaller portion bags way more cost effective. One of my favorite ways to use is on road trips.Mix: oats; black walnut bits; tsp ground golden flax; tsp ground hemp; tsp chia seed. Half scoop (school comes in container) equals about two TBLsp chocolate protein superfood powder (find a brand you like), small brown banana; enough water to make into soft muffin like consistency. For travel I use small zip lock type sand which bags. You could toss in a tsp of peanut butter powder, too. Even powdered heavy cream or powdered milk but I prefer not when traveling. You can use hot water or cold. I like room temperature. The mix is prebagged. Add water and off I go. With a shaker of superfood wheat grass by Amazing grass.I tried AG1 for a few months, but it consistently made me I’ll. The Amazing Grass watermelon and super berry with antioxidants is the perfect road trip breakfast drink.I also make green tea in a steeper overnight. Great breakfast drink on the go during a road trip across country. This meal is packed with protein and produce. Filling and offers lots of energy on the road without crap calories. And, it’ll keep things moving ;);)Hope this was helpful⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Simply the best …
We've been eating groats (steel-cut oats) for about 12 or so years … used to buy it at our local co-op until the supply chain was disrupted by various shutdowns by government entities.I searched for a high quality substitute … and this is it. It's far more creamy than any other brands we used to get … and the cost, though it fluctuates pretty widely, is still good enough to justify purchasing it in 25-pound bags. Each bag lasts us about 6 months … give or take a week. All in all, a great product … and it hits all of the important elements for us -- organic, recyclable packaging, great taste and high quality product.

Low cost, decent oatmeal, but not as flavorful as imported steel cut oat brands
I bought these hoping that they would be a less expensive substitute for McCann's steel cut oats. The flavor is just not what I was hoping for -- it tastes more like Quaker quick oats. It's perfectly edible, but the fact that they are groats does mean that they have the flavor or thickness that McCann's has. Also, there were several contaminant grains. I removed about 50 non-oatmeal grains while I transferred about 7 pounds of oats to other containers. Despite my initial screening, I still find these errant grains in the oatmeal I prepare on the stovetop.

Wrong item - old fashioned shipped instead quick, twice error
I purchased this item 3 times within the last 6 months. I have bought it several times in the last decade. Somehow the last two times they sent me old fashioned oats instead of the quick oats I ordered. First time I did try to use it. It took me months of grinding it into flour using my Vitamix dry container and creating new recipes so I could make use of it. Then I purchased it again... I can't explain how disappointed I was when I opened the bag, it was the old fashioned oats again instead the quick ones especially because I was going to travel overseas for 3 months and this was supposed to be my family staple. From grandpa to great-grandkids we go thru countless pounds of oats in a blink of an eye. Anyway we'll have to make out trip without oats to a country we know it's nearly impossible to find it or not available at all. I love those quick oats because they are soft and organic, the old fashioned are hard and filled with hull that is totally resistant to Vitamix grinding. Pay attention to what you are shipping guys

So This is What Oats Are Supposed To Taste Like!
I have been purchasing the "quick" oats for years, suckering for the fact that they're quick and not realizing how easy and better traditional rolled oats really are. But I've also bought traditional rolled oats on occasion so I'm not a stranger to them. Regardless, neither type have ever tasted like this. When I first opened the bag they looked and smelled so delicious that I spontaneously grabbed a few and tasted them raw. They're delicious. Like seriously, I have never had oats taste so good. They could be a snack - as is, without even cooking them, they're that good. Even my dog hurries over and tries to stick her head in the bin to steal some when go to scoop some out.I don't know what more I can say; they're fresh, delicious and even beautiful to look at. I've never seen such vibrant rolled oats. I will absolutely order these again and again. I ordered their pearled barley in the same size bag as well and were also impressed with those. Both arrived well packaged in a strong, quality bag and very fresh. No weird debris in with the grains or anything like that. Pricey yes, but worth it.
