Good germination rate. Easy to grow. Proof is in the taste, pending in a few weeks.

NOT Chinese broccoli: green-variant pak choi instead
Like another reviewer, we’re in Maine. These took a long time to arrive but sprouted well. After six weeks and bolting mature plants, it’s clear the seed we received were pak choi, not gai lan. Big difference. Gai lan, Mandarin for Chinese broccoli, is a superb dark green kale variant with superior flavor to both kale and broccoli. My favorite vegetable hands down. Hoping to get the right seed pack instead of the one we received.I’ll update this review if the seller makes this right.UPDATE MAY 2020.After multiple contacts with the vendor in 2018 and 2019, the promised replacement of the real Gai Lan was never sent out. I'm giving up and going with another vendor.

ordered in may and arrived in august, disapointingly late to plant
ordered in may and arrived in august, very late to plant. I would have liked to plant this item at any point during the active growing season this year. I hope the seeds don't die over the winter but i will try planting them next spring. it's not a big monetary investment but just a disappointment.

Great if you like Chinese Broccoli.
The seeds took a while to get here from Thailand but in plenty of time to plant this past season. It was a bad spring here in Maine and choi, choi sum, and even the lettuce didn't germinate fast and then seemed to get stunted with cold rain for weeks. These guys sent a free packet of Chinese mustard seeds too and they germinated and grew great, albeit looking nothing like the photo on the package. These Chinese Broccoli I would rate as good germination but the slowest of everything. They grew nice and have produced 4 cuttings so far. The taste is OK for me but my wife, mother-in-law, and a friend at work love it. My wife would give it 5 stars I give it 4 only because I'm not a big fan of broccoli leaves. I will grow again next year.

Germinated quickly
These broccoli seeds were some of the first to sprout for my garden after being planted. They look very healthy so far.

Most seeds did not germinate
Planted these along with others at same time. Others did fine, these did not. Package came unmarked and had to look at my seed order and others I received at same time from other sellers to figure out. Seeds had extremely poor germination rate. Maybe 10% germinated.
