Colgin All Natural Apple Flavored Liquid Smoke - 4oz by Colgin [Foods]

I ordered apple (I forgot this until it came to writing a review) I received Mesquite. Not a problem as I was humming and harring between the two anyway. The flavour worked perfectly for my first pressure cooker hangi (NZ earth oven in this case done without digging!) I popped some in a little plastic mist spray bottle which worked a treat to coat the meat and vege. I look forward to trying with lots of different recipes.

Good product - good value

I have to say that the aroma from the open bottle was good but it didn't transfer to the food as much as I would have liked regarding taste.

Honestly I don’t know what I expected when I bought this, but it tastes mostly of vinegar. One review says that it adds „a real depth of flavour” but I don’t agree with this at all.I have to try this yet in my cheesemaking but so far, I’m more scared that its vinegary taste is going to overwhelm the whole cheese.Good thing I got it on sale, but still mixed feelings.Maybe other flavour would be better? I don’t know.
