Found it for a good price and made an upgrade from my previous Segotep unit, which went bad on the CPU power port. This one is future ready, comes with a fan turn off switch and twin 5.0 pcie ports . There's also an extra cable for the new 600w pcie to older gpu pcie pins to use with pre 4070 gpus. Lots of ports for the accessory connectors. Very quiet and great build quality.

The MPG A850GS provides enough power for the 9800X30 and RX9070 XT build that I have, with some room to grow. Overall I really like the size of the power supply it's been a while since I have purchased a PC power supply and was kind of surprised by how compact the unit is. It's fully modular and provides more than enough cables for nearly any build. The unit is quiet even with the fan on, it also offers a silent operation mode if you need that. So far I do not detect any type of coil whine or anything that would impede it's operation. I am extremely happy with how this unit performs and functions. It was super easy to install and it feels quality built. The durability should last for years. The warranty is top notch too!

Works super fine, checked on my end and it's giving the PC the right voltage, pretty good package and everything working fine.

I bought this PSU to replace an older FSP second handed PSU that started showing signs of deterioration of voltage regulation. This PSU's voltage regulation is much better than that on the FSP, and the voltage hardly sags with light to moderate load. The PSU's fan is very quiet, and it is literally inaudible even with the 0 RPM fan mode turned off. However, one thing that I noticed is the coil whine. There are 3 clips in the video. The 1st one is click sound the moment when the PC turns on. The click happens before the relay clicks, which has a few seconds delay. I assume this is caused by inrush current charging the big capacitor. I didn't notice this sound on my old FSP PSU. The 2nd clip is coil whine when I turn on the PSU with nothing attached. This whine is quite loud and can be heard distances away. The 3rd clip is a slight ticking noise when PC is idle. This noise isn't loud and can only be heard if I put my ear right next to the PSU. Not sure if any of these noises are normal, but the PSU has been working with no issues since I installed it.

Really amazing quality power supply. The best thing about it is the cables. They made routing and management such an easy task. I would most definitely recommend if you (like me) have to keep your cables neat and clean but also enjoy simple assembly and install. For sure a 10 out of 10

The 850w MSI MPG A850GS PSU is great value at around $110. The unit is packed well and has all the standard cables you'd need for your build including a spare cable bag. The cables are all a great length for an ATX mid tower build, but are long for an ITX case. This PSU also comes with two 12vhpwr ports which seems weird since 850watts is usually only enough for one GPU that would require the 12vhpwr port, however, there is an included 12vhprw to two 8pin pcie cable. This mean you can have either a single high power gpu or two mid power gpus. The PSU was rated as 80 Plus Gold, Cybenetics gold, and PPLP.info gold. While these are three separate rating systems, they combine to mean that power efficiency and power stability is what the average user needs. This GPU also received an A on SPL's PSU tier list. The unit is heavy for its size and is made with Japanese caps that boast a long life span.

I recently been wanting to rebuild my old pc that I've had for 5 years. I wanted to go with a brand I knew I could trust also wanting to go with aesthetic look and looking to get a new GPU from MSI to complete that look. This power supply feels premium and has all the cables you need to use to build or to rebuild your computer. The cables feel great and not to stiff or weak for that matter they have a nice touch to it. I do appreciate how it has the feature of turning off the fan if the power supply isn't using a lot of power that is a plus. And the bag to hold any cables you may not need is also a neat add on with the overall package. I can't wait to rebuild my pc. I recently just got a computer case also from MSI. I'm nearly there from having the complete look i want with MSI parts. :)

I bought this MSI A850GS for my new high-end build, and it’s excellent. Being PCIe 5.0 ready is a huge plus, as it connects directly to my modern GPU without needing messy adapters. It is fully modular, which made cable management much easier and kept my case clean. The fan is virtually silent even under load. If you want a future-proof and stable power supply, this is a perfect choice.
