These 4pins work for only sony cameras that need a dtap. I tried using it for my lights but they are 3pins which is what is needed to convert power from dtap to the light.

Love the two-tone black and red styling. The power connectors appear to be a solid build assembly. Fits nice and snug in my d-tap port on my v mount battery. Based on my experience with the cable so far, I'm looking forward to long use. I've had great experiences with SDI Alvin's cables too, I suspect these will be no different too. Works perfectly with my Blackmagic studio cameras - they have a built-in battery, but being able to now use them for extended hours with my d-tap battery,

Perfect way to use a larger battery or with some mods I've made a DC power adaptor on my Sony FS7 using the expantion ports XLR 4 power in. This is great as it means the camera is lighter being able to use a waist mounted battery system when portable and be able to run the camera from the main when it is stationary. The cable is that silicone/anti-kink style material but feels nice in the hand and with it being a nice bright and vibrant red you can easily see it when it is in a dark studio so you are aware of what the cable does.

This is another quality lead from Alvin, I checked the soldering on each connector and its good. Checking the wiring I found that PIN-1 on the XLR connected to the Negative pin of the D-Tap, and PIN-4 of the XLR to the Positive pin of the D-Tap, which is all what you'd expect. It uses a high flex silicone rubber audio shielded cable and has a nice feel to it. I checked it on some lite panel LED lights and it worked well, being able to keep up with a few amps of current drain.
