I disagree with the negative reviews saying the product is bad and connector caps break off. I think you have to abuse the cables by pulling hard and sideways on them. These are balanced 4.4 mm cables designed to be used with above-average headphones and I don't think you would normally treat such headphones and any related cables in an abusive manner. Just take care swapping the cables and pull them out straight. The cable quality is quite acceptable, and for the price I paid, the quality is actually excellent. All things considered, I think there is a real and perceivable improvement in sound from these cables over the stock cables that is not a placebo effect. Maybe the lessened crosstalk or lack of parallel cable interference, and the separate balanced outputs improves the sound. I know electrons don't care much if the cables are made with silver or gold or platinum and often, cable marketing can be described as a voodoo science, but honestly these cables are a low cost, low risk investment to try balanced cables to attempt to squeeze a bit of improvement from your cans. I believe these cables will last years without abuse and even if they fail on me after a year, I will still believe it was a worthwhile and low-cost investment to satiate curiosity whether balanced cables improve the sound coming out of your headphones. They are just a tad shorter than I want, but for the price, I will overlook it. Give these things a go, if the price is good, as there are much, much worse ways than this product to spend your audio dollars on.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do and seems to be durable. There’s no way to know that for sure, however since I haven’t owned it that long at this point. But all indications are that it will hold up over time. I use this cable connected to Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones and connected to a balanced 4.4mm headphone output. Balanced headphone output from the headphone amp makes quite a bit of difference in power, volume, and quality of sound.

Mine lasted slightly over a year before it fell apart on one channel's joint. I don't hate it because ... headphone cables do break -- and heck I needed this to replace the broken stock cable, and the in-line mic feature was great. Also the price was right. I will try a different one this time, but looking at prices/options I would consider buying this again if another option doesn't work out.
