The fit was perfect, everyone loved the dress but if it’s windy I do not recommend unless Marilyn Monroe is looking your going for, lol!

I’m 5’9” 180 lb with a long torso and small/medium bust. Ordered a Medium. I generally fit in medium dresses when they’re stretchy because size larges are usually too big in the bust for me. This is a size Medium in the photo. It’s pretty cozy up there in the chest because the material is not stretchy and it is zippered all the way up the back. I’m going to try a size large just for reference but I’m happy with the chest coverage in the medium. It’s very flowy in the waist which is nice for dinner events that might leave you normally trying to suck it in. NO POCKETS!! The zipper is not top quality so I can imagine if you’re not careful, it will break with too much force so trust the person zipping you up with all your heart. FYI, There is a band just under the cups that create an extra tuff of material that the zipper has to gently yet also firmly get over. I ordered a few white belts that might add some flare to that band nicely but can also be worn as is! Easy to dress up for a formal event (why I bought it) or throw on a Jean jacket and flats and go casual. Again material is stiff—no stretch, so it’s slightly restricted in the arm pits but not so much that I cant raise my arms. I’m happy with the arm pit coverage which is always a self conscious trigger for me. I’ll have to follow up with what it looks like when I sweat here… Overall, there are lots of mixed reviews on this one but I say take the risk and try it on. My husband seemed genuinely wowed when I walked in the room. The only thing that would make this a 5 star dress is POCKETS! And maybe a 1-2% elastic material blend for some breathing room.

We got this dress for my daughter to wear to her friend’s quinceañera and it was perfect! The vintage style is so cute, and the fuller skirt made it fun to dress up and dance in. She was comfortable in it all night and looked adorable. It was dressy enough for the occasion without being too fancy, and she got lots of compliments. Definitely happy with this purchase!

This dress was exactly as I hoped. The quality of the fabric and stitching is good. In the 3rd picture you can see the lining in the bodice. It is very comfortable, snug around the lower ribs, waistline is just above my natural waistline, as most dresses of this style are. This means it doesn't squeeze at the waist, which is nice. I got a size small. I am 5'4, 123-ish pounds. I was concerned about the bodice with this style. I am a 34A and this style bodice usually doesn't fit real well no matter what. This fits but not as snug as I would like, but that is what I expected. It comes a bit low on me for my comfort so I put an insert in the neckline (first picture). I think it still looks nice, though. In the first picture I have a petticoat on underneath, in the second picture I do not. I think it looks good both ways, even without it. The blue color with the white dots looks great. Love the color. When I first put it on the seam at the bottom of the bodice was folded up and made the fabric look bunched up. When I figured out why it looked that way, I just folded the seam down inside and it is fine. I have not yet steamed this dress so the wrinkles you see are how it came out of the package, it has been hanging for a few days but that is it. Needs to be steamed but doesn't look too bad. The length is perfect, exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this dress.

The dress is nice the can can purchased separately didn’t make it poof(was not stiff) The dress was too large. Could be a winner for larger lady😉

This dress is so pretty I bought two! I am quite happy with it, although it does fit a little odd in the arms. There is next to no stretch, because its mostly cotton. It's a very flattering dress even without a petticoat. For size reference, I am 5'2 and 305 lbs. I ordered a 5x (the biggest size). I normally wear a 24 to 26 in dresses. I did, like another reviewer had mentioned, have to pop the little thread in the chestarea, because it smooshed my boobs too much. Putting on the dress took some effort too, because the waist area is a bit narrow. In bras, I wear a 46DDD. My bra is lightly padded. These dresses go below my knee a couple inches, which I was surprised by but not mad about. The arms were probably my biggest issue. I am uncomfortable in only the armpit area, and will probably make some slight alterations to the arm holes to make them a little wider, as I know if I wear them a full day I will come home with a little chafing there. The cap sleeves are cute but because there is no stretch in the garment, it is difficult to raise my arms, even just straight out. The chest fabric, once i undid that stitch, does make a sort of weird pocket of space, but I'm thinking ironing the dress will help that. I am am uncertain if the dress will shrink if put into a dryer, and it already is a bit tight, so I will not be finding out.

My only complaint is that there are NO POCKETS!!! (I assumed as much when buying the dress based on the description.) But since I’m capable of adding my own and the side-seam placement will make this relatively easy, it was more important to me to pick a style and fabric I liked. The fit and flare style is perfect for a curvy figure and the white on black polka dot pattern is adorable. The fabric is truly cotton except for a little polyester in the bust lining. This fabric will probably wrinkle a little more easily but at least it will *breath* —very important if you’re going dancing! I’m usually a size 14 (L/XL) but I ordered the 3XL because my bust measurement was in-between sizes and the cotton fabric has NO stretch. There’s a little looseness and gaping but I think I’m happier with this than if I’d ordered the smaller size. This is probably most appropriate for casual occasions but I plan to wear it with heels to a semi-formal wedding where there will be dancing and I want to be able to move comfortably.

I bought the dress for an on-stage appearance, looking for a simple little black dress with a retro appeal. The fabric is good, sturdy quality cotton. The v-neck draped front is flattering and sexy, but not too revealing, and for middle-aged ladies like myself I prefer the litte wing-like short sleeves to spaghetti straps. The top of the dress covers bra straps perfectly well, even when dancing; always a plus. I bought 2X large, being a tall, statuesque person, and for me the waistline is a little to high up - or my torso is too long - but the dress fits fine and overall looks really cute. The elastic waistline makes changing without help easier (there is a long zipper in the back that takes some contortionist ability to zip completely by yourself) and makes for a very comfy outfit. Careful: when sitting down in hot weather and sweating, the fabric really crumples and will not hang back out without ironing.

Colour was lovely , wasn’t over generous stretch in it , but fitted quite well on the body I’m a pear shaped body , so skimmed over body & was flattering on, length was well below knee & perhaps a little to long for me 5ft 1, but it was fine for what I needed it for .

Lovely dress - nice fit and well made. The waist is at a flattering height and there's actually enough room in the chest area without the dreaded gaping! I would usually go for a 16, (14 at a push) and found the 2XL fits perfectly. It's the second dress I have from this seller and have been very happy with both.
