Stop researching WiFi, Buy this
I was looking for a new WiFi solution as I was getting regular issues with my current setup. The bedroom TV would lose internet connection, our floor mopping iRobot would lose connection and some of my smart light switches would lose connection. I have a BT router and seven Devolo power line devices. I have had to reconnect some of the devices to the primary device regularly and sometimes, about once a fortnight, I end up spending up to an hour messing about trying to get the connection back. I tried the BT mesh, the 3 node one, but that didnโt cover my whole bungalow, which has been extended and is long, so I sent it back thinking mesh was really crap. I got to Reading some of the reviews for the Tenda Nova system and decided to take another chance because so many people said they were great. I bought two double units giving me four boxes as I remembered that the BT mesh didnโt cover the whole house. I set up two of these boxes and I get fantastic WiFi everywhere in the house. Iโm thinking of sending back the other two units. My broadband is 48 Mps at best and I get no less than 35 Mps everywhere. We stream two TVs at the same time and Iโve connected all of our devices, and the system hasnโt missed a best. The app is pretty good too, I havenโt had the benefit of an app before. I havenโt needed tech support so I donโt know how good they are, but the system is so easy to setup and is faultless. Iโll give this another week then Iโm going to rip the power lines out and sell them on eBay. Buy this, definitely buy this. Thanks to Tenda for such a powerful WiFi system, Iโm in WiFi heaven.

This MIMO router is simply amazing, and such fantastic value!
OK, where do I begin? Let me start with the gripes of my home's developers. It's great that they put in FTTP Infinity (where there's a direct fiber line and modem) into the house - I'm very appreciative of this, although this is the norm with new builds now. My main gripe is that they put this line in a small storage room at the front of the house, surrounded by thick walls. When I ordered BT broadband, I got the 52Mb line - reassuringly brilliant. When I got the router delivered (BT Home Hub 6 - the WORST wifi router I've ever had to use), I was plagued by disconnects, slow wifi speeds and much more. Fast forward 6 months later and I'm at my wits end. I try using an old VDSL router to supplant the Wifi signal, there's a slight improvement, but not a lot at all. Then, I find this device on Amazon. I'm skeptical at first, but the reviews make it seem like a Godsend. Let me say, this Tenda MW6 IS a Godsend for people with wireless connectivity issues. It has literally changed my life!!! My wife no longer complains about her phone's Wifi disconnecting and believe me, this was happening daily and it was a pain in the bum! Granted, I don't have a big house, it's 1180 sq ft over 2 floors, but the building material is solid and was really disrupting the normal 802.11 wifi signal. Upstairs I was getting pitiful 10-20 Mb download speeds before Tenda. Now, I get 100% signal and 50 Mb download speeds. Even conservatively, this is a 250% improvement. Lastly, but certainly not least (and it is a big "F*** Y**!" to BT Hardware) you DON'T need to plug the Tenda directly into your Router, only the Modem/WAN connection - ethernet cable. The Tenda has a PPoE setup wizard. I used the following for BT Infinity: U: [email protected] P: bt This means I am FINALLY rid of that piece of sh** Huawei BT Home Hub 6. The slowest and weakest wireless router I've ever used (but don't tell anyone on eBay, as I'm definitely selling it!). I could have gone for the 3 box Tenda MW3 which would have been ยฃ35 cheaper and I would have a 3rd box, however, I wanted Gigabit ethernet connectivity for future proofing and the two MW6s cover my house perfectly. Yes I paid more, but it was TOTALLY worth it. All I can say is if the above sounds like you, please just get this MESH Wifi system already - it will change your life!

Excellent Value for Money, Easy Set-Up and Good Results (but read the note on 2.4Ghz)
My existing router (Asus RT-N66U) provided good WiFi performance but being a single Tx/Rx point still struggled to reach the furthest points in my house (both on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz). So I purchased two of the Tenda Nova Mesh MW6 nodes with the intention of using my existing router for wired connections and the Novas in bridge mode to provide the 5 / 2.4Ghz WiFi network and extend its reach. My office switch was also connected to the router downstairs by a long flat ethernet cable running under carpets etc. and I wanted to see whether I could replace this cable with a shorter CAT6 connection to the 2nd Nova node located in the office without any performance degradation. I didn't hold out much hope replacing a wired connection with effectively a wireless connection between the Nova nodes but it actually turned out fine. I placed the first Nova node downstairs near the existing router and the other upstairs in the office with the network switch there connected to one of its gigabit ethernet ports using a CAT6 ethernet cable. The first Nova node gave a blue light after a short time so I then switched on my second Nova node upstairs which connected seamlessly and also gave a blue light indicating excellent signal level. I then used the Android app to update the firmware on both devices. Within minutes I had all of my 5Ghz Wifi devices up and running and the office devices connected fine via the switch. I probably "overthought" things in trying to avoid any clashes between the existing router and the Novas so disabled 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz Wifi on my existing router before connecting and switching on the first Nova node. The 5Ghz band worked fine on the Novas and I assumed that they would also detect the presence of a 2.4Ghz signal from my security cameras but that was not the case. NOTE: If you have any 2.4Ghz devices (mainly security cameras or old phones) do not disable the 2.4Ghz band on your existing router before configuring the Novas. After a bit of online research it appears that the app should have a Smart Assitant assitant option under Settings allowing 2.4Ghz to be made available for 30 minutes to allow these devices to be configured. However, the Smart Assistant option was missing in my app!! I posted a question on Amazon and also emailed Tenda about this but they both drew a blank. I left it a day thinking that Tenda might reply but heard nothing. After giving it some thought I realised that re-enabling 2.4Ghz on my existing router might prompt the Nova nodes to detect that signal which might make Smart Assitant appear in the app. Long story short, that worked! I was then able to set up my 2.4Ghz devices without any problem. I ran a WiFi analysis (signal and speed test) from all of the rooms in my house on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz, and also a LAN Speed Test between two PCs, one upstairs and the other downstairs both before and after Nova installation. With the Novas in place and WiFi disabled on my existing router there was a signal level improvement in all rooms and especially in the furthest away rooms where it was around 20dB higher than with the old router. Speedtest maxed out my Internet connection (fibre 38Mb/s down 9Mb/s up) from everywhere in the house. Most surprisingly the LAN Speed Test showed a big improvement using the wireless connection between the office and downstairs. I double checked the results and also ran some video streaming tests. I tried streaming higher and higher bit rate videos from my NAS in the office to the TV downstairs until I got stuttering on the TV. This showed that I am able to stream much higher bitrate videos from the NAS to my TV using the Novas rather than the old wired connection! Very impressive. The system has been running flawlessly since then. I would have given 5 stars but docked one star for the lack of documentation re 2.4Ghz configuration and the slow Tenda support (they replied today, over 2 weeks later telling me to select Smart Assitant from my app!!). I think the manual/app should include a whole section on bridge mode setup showing various configuration scenarios and make it clear that if you have 2.4Ghz devices not to disable that band on your existing router until you have set them up on your Novas. Nonetheless, given the price of these compared to other similar devices I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone wanting to extend the reach of their home WiFi.

Works a treat!
I ordered the twin pack because we have a dead spot at the far corner of the property. We currently have internet via Vodafone and have one of their boosters extending the range but even that can't reach the dead spot. Our contract ends soon and we have opted to downgrade to a lesser package and will be losing the use of their supplied booster, so I started looking at mesh systems and this one seems to stand out based on the excellent reviews and value for money. It arrived this afternoon, and before I had even opened the box, was already amazed at the quality of the packaging, so had high hopes of the contents. Well, within 10 minutes of taking the units out of the box and reading the very simple instructions, I had downloaded the app, connected the primary node to the router, turned off the WiFi on the main router, and renamed the network on the node to match the original network name and also used the original password. Everything worked straight away, all devices previously connected to the original WiFi on the router instantly connected to the Tenda unit and once I had connected the second node, we had WiFi everywhere we needed it, even in the dead spot. The connection is faster and more stable than it has ever been, I wish I had done this much sooner.

Unbelievable Diifference!!
I wish I had done this ages ago. I have been on Sky Q and fibre Broadband for a few years now and have dead zones in the house, I have purchased numerous extenders that intermittently drop and everyone was getting fed up of flaky slow Wi-Fi. I read about this mesh system and thought what have i got to lose. Set up took a few minutes and was pretty automated and apart from the small inconvenience of having to redirect existing connections to the new mesh network I was done. WOW, this has transformed our home Wi-Fi, now running speed tests i get the numbers Sky promised, everything connects, nothing drops and the handover from the main node to the secondary node is un noticeable, and best of all no dead zones or dropouts. This purchase has single headedly transformed my faith in home wifi. The only other bit of housekeeping needed was to get all devices to forget the existing sky network so they don't try and re connect, they stay connected to the mesh network. I did this and have had no issues whatsoever since. As we all rely so heavily on fast wifi these days I can say this is one of the best purchases I have made in recent years. I have had no need to contact Tech support so cannot comment on that side of things but as far as the hardware goes, I personally would recommend this product to anyone who has experienced the same issues I had previously. For me after a few frustrating years it has finally done the Job!

They Just Work MW6-2
Bought these with fingers crossed as downstairs I get a very weak WIFI signal in the kitchen area with the current Virgin Media Router ... I do have ethernet in each room and connected via one of these ports downstairs in the living room. Set up was really easy. Literally Plug and Play 1. Unbox and plug in the ethernet and powercable for the 'main unit' 2. Download the app - change Wifi Name and Password etc 3. Connect other nodes Thats it. Before in the kitchen area I was getting 8mb/s on a 100m/s speed. After installing these one in the living room and one in the kitchen area. I am now getting speeds of 80mbs in the Kitchen. The wifi shows as a seperate signal to the normal Virgin Media Wifi so you can still connect to the Virgin Media one if you really want. It connects automatically and there are some good settings in the app including parental controls and more. I have a 3 bed house and this covers it very well and get consistently 60mb/s+ upstairs and 80m/bs+ downstairs. This is consistently and no drop outs or areas or low speed any more. Overall, pretty pleased with this 10/10 for easy of use. Time will tell how well this works.

Can't believe theres no reboot option in the app!
Looks OK on the shelf. But it has locked up a few times. The solution to this was to set it to reboot daily. It has still locked up twice since. On both occasions I've still been able to see and configure it from the app but no WiFi devices could connect to it. A simple reboot would solve it but there's no reboot option in the app. Instead (being lazy) changing the maintenance daily reboot to 1 mins time and waiting worked but seems really stupid not to have such a simple maintenance option. I'd prefer if there were more advanced options but it's does the basic job. Update: Almost a year on and I've put up with it because most of my devices are cabled (you can't beat good old cable) so I don't notice issues when I'm actually working. It still locks up and need the power pulling, even though it's still on the network and could easily be solved with a 'reboot' button in the app (I dont like that there's no web interface, everything is through the app. I dont need to control it from the other side of the world). But worse recently are the connected devices, randomly dropping out. I've got 20 devices (too many?) majority are lightbulbs and speakers doing hardly anything. I know it's not the bulbs at fault, they are all fine on an old point. I'm now looking to replace this unit because it's finally annoyed me enough. One thing I did find out by rtfm, you can't change the channel!!! It's not that it selects the best one, it's fixed. My neighbour has Sky which seems to just eat available channels and I can't move out the way. very poor.

good enough
don't get me wrong . it does as intended, it spreads wifi across my house but it also half's the speeds which is a bit frustrating

Great mesh system very easy to set up
This took only a few minutes to setup and was almost just plug and play. Was very easy even for someone who usually hates setting up tech. Significantly improved wifi range in the house, great buy.

Not easy
Not easy to set up. If you are techy it might be OK. Struggling to get help from Tenda.
