Basics Model 02 Collector Doll with Blonde Hair, Black Mini Dress & Gladiator Boots, Universal-fit Fashions, Posable Body & Swappable Doll Head

Beautiful doll, nicely made clothes, removable earrings and a new swappable head design, with easy to open packaging... though she's got the same 3 t-tags stabbed through her head to keep her in place in the box. The new barbie Basics dolls all have a differently shaped neck-peg that allows you to remove the head without needing to use boiling water or heat to first soften the head, which will be great for collectors who like to head swap. With big blue eyes and stunning white hair, she's got a dramatic eye make up that really suits her. I personally think the lashes are a little overdone, but I love that her brows are a grey shade that suits her hair really well. Her face is NOT shiny, nor is it pixelated. This doll is a match for the Made to Move swirl Yoga Millie for anyone looking for a nice body and a cute outfit, and has the same level of articulation as any other MTM dolls. She's a shade or so darker than the Tennis Player doll. Mine arrived with tight but not impossible to move joints and no large manufacturing errors... though there is the slightest discoloration on her right bust, in a spot that will be hidden if she has even a bikini on, so it's not a dealbreaker for me. She comes wearing silver hoops, a black mini dress with an open back and sides, and dramatic high heel 'gladiator' style sandals/boots. She comes with a little double sided adhesive on the front of her thighs to hold the skirt in place, but that's easy to remove, if you want to. The black dress IS shedding just the slightest amount of lint or dust, which looks more dramatic on her pale skin, but that's easy to wipe away. I don't store or display my dolls in black clothing long term for safety reasons (the dye can stain over time) but I think this dress would *probably* be safe on her? It's super cute, but I got mine to redress and eventually rebody on a petite doll, so we'll see! Her silver hoop earrings are removable, but be aware that the metallic finish is a little fragile and the plastic isn't the strongest, and regular removal will continue to chip and damage the finish... but being removable, they're also super easy to replace with other earrings if and when they break. I removed mine to slide off the plastic protectors and found her ear-holes are coated in silver paint already. All in all, if these dolls replace the Barbie Looks like I'll be sad to lose the bright colorful outfits, but there IS something so chic about an all black look and I love the new neck peg design. She's a good price for a quality product, and I'll be grabbing more from this line, I'm sure.

LOVE THIS DOLL!!! She is absolutely gorgeous and highly flexible. Her clothes and shoes each have a unique spin on them! Great quality all in all. I have the whole set and they are my favorite series yet!

Absolutely stunning Barbie. Not sure she was worth the marked up price. But this was what my daughter had wanted for Christmas. She loved it.

This is barbie the way she should be! Every detail points to her being the Fashion icon that we love! Right out of the box the details of her face, soft side pony and stunning outfit with boots that scream, "I've got this,"are making the statement every fashionista wants to make! She understands the mission! MTM, stand included with a fashion forward attitude for New York, Milan and of course Paris', Fashion week runways! Skin tone has up the game away from the tan malibu dark tan and reflects real coloring. Mattel seems to be working hard at more true representations lately in this area. She's durable for kids, but she's really going to please the older older fans, who can appreciate the styling abilities! She'll give you hours of playability. She's great value. She'll be fun an older child, ( 5 and up), but the old adult collector is the perfect fit to appreciate her. They will have endless ideas to model and pose her in diorama scenes that reflects today's realistic settings for the dolls. The game has been up in a subtle nod to the other Fashion dolls, who have an edgier look, but not quite that approachable face and demeanor that has kept Barbie at the at of her game for generations! Well done Mattel!

Beautiful doll

One of the successful dolls from this collection. The face has gentle, unobtrusive makeup, there is no noticeable stain from the dress on the doll's body. There are protectors on the earrings so they don't scratch the face during transportation. The box and doll arrived in excellent condition. The box itself is nothing special, but its modest size allows for storage without taking up much space.

This doll worth all the money.

A fabulous doll. Fully articulated, beautiful Karl face sculpt and I love her skin tone and makeup. She has a regular Made-to-Move body, wears a short black dress with cut-out sides that feels like a stretchy polyester and black gladiator-style heels. I love her hair, it is a platinum blonde ands he has icy blue eyes.
