La Brea Bakery French Loaf, 16 oz (Baked Fresh)

I have purchased this twice, including the date of this post, and appreciate it is baked fresh the morning of delivery. Outside is crusty with a very soft inside. I have eaten it with sliced duck breast or goat cheese and grapes or curry chicken salad, all purchased with Amazon Fresh. It was delicious. I will try putting half in the freezer upon receipt to see if it stays fresh longer. No issues with the quality, taste, or price of this bread.

My household's experience with this item was good. It was kept in the back of the fridge really cold. Kept for two weeks. Heated in the oven and then used to make cheesy garlic pesto bread one night and buttered toast another morning. The flavor was yummy and the crust was crunchy. The inside soft. We enjoyed it. Thanks.

A little difficult to slice.. crumbled even with a good bread knife. But tastes good!

soft fresh and delicious - but eat it all on day 1 if possible since it gets stale quicky - a quick toast in the oven cures that if you can't finish it on day 1

The French loaf is hard, dense and very heavy. If you are looking for classic French bread, this is not It. It tastes good but it is not something you would slice and eat as is for pleasure; however, it makes great toast. All La Brea white breads seem to taste the same but come in different shapes and sizes.

Fresh and delicious! The smell was great, made my mouth water like at a bakery. Lovely crust on the outside and soft on the inside. Made amazing stuffing, crostini and croutons from this.

Great tasting bread. Good flavor and it was easy to cut and pull. Not hard at all. I will buy it again.

Hard as a rock, I'm 99% sure it was previously frozen. It's nothing like a fresh French toast. It's a hard dense bread, that also seems not properly cooked. Like some other reviews mentioned, why not use the Whole Food's bakery?!!! Amazon has such high standards, but they seem to miss on details. Their bakery options is NIL, zero, nada. Why use Amazon fresh when I can use Shipt to get my REAL French toast from my favorite supermarket?! Amazon buying Whole Foods I assumed it was a game changer; apparently I was wrong.UPDATE — I’ve changed my rating from 2 stars, to 1 star. This bread was NOT eatable the next day. It was so crumbly that I couldn’t slice it. I’m still In disbelief of its quality.
