Excellent product. I bought an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 laptop with 64GB RAM and an eGPU enclosure with an Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti 16GB card as an AI test bed. It's functional but can't load bigger models like "Qwen/Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct" (56.8GB from Huggingface) due to memory exhaustion with only 64GB RAM. 128GB barely makes everything work with just a python inference jupyter notebook and little else -- 15.6GB of 16GB on the 5070, 48.1GB of the 62.8GB shared RAM GPU pool, 2GB RAM for the Radeon GPU driving the displays, and the rest for whatever PyCharm, PyTorch, and Windows need. If you're playing with AI on your local machine, you'll appreciate the 128GB.

I wasn't sure this was going to work but decided to try it anyway. The manufacturer of the Raider 18HX A1 A2XW laptop had only tested 96GB RAM and did not recommend using 128 GB. I did some research and found on Reddit that one person wrote in that he had successfully ran 128 GB in the same laptop, and it worked for him at max sustained levels with zero errors, so I decided I would try it too. After I installed it, it only showed 64GB, but I tried reversing and reinstalled the RAM and to my surprise, it showed the entire 128 GB of RAM. It may have just not been seated properly on my first attempt. I just installed it today, so I will see how this runs over time. I will update if I have any issues down the road. It was quite expensive, but I've been reading that all RAM and SSD drives have skyrocketed due to high demand from big tech companies and is not expected to drop anytime soon.

The item arrived defective, and the refund process has been a nightmare. Even though the seller confirmed they received the returned item on time, I am still waiting for my refund a few weeks later. I would not recommend buying from this seller!!!!😡

The 5 star review is for the RAM chips themselves: 128gb (2x64) DDR5. Installed them on a PC that was compatible without issues and the computer recognized them. Ran a test and showed zero defect. All good. Now a 1 star review for something that was extremely important for someone who value their purchase and money like me. These chips aren’t inexpensive by any means and my criticism is the manufacturer could have spent a bit more attention to packaging. These do not come in a box, just 2 chips sitting inside a plastic pack and WITHOUT any factory sealed tape, and the plastic wasn’t sealed by any means. Just pull the taps on top to open and you don’t even need to cut the plastic. There is no way to tell if the contents have been opened, used, manipulated or returned previously. I on the same order purchased also Crucial m2 SSD and the content came with sealed tapes on the box. Come on, Crucial, do better.
