I originally bought this electric kettle for my office to heat water for tea, oatmeal, and soup. It heats up incredibly quickly, even faster than my stovetop at home. I've now brought it home and started using it to cook pasta. It's efficient, easy to clean, and the lid doubles as a strainer. The only drawback for home use is its size, which is better suited for one or two people a serving. This electric Cooker is also ideal for students living in dorms who want to cook pasta or make ramen. You can also use it as a bowl after draining the water, but be sure to use plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the nonstick coating. - This version of the Cooker doesn't not have a temperature setting. You may have to look into an upgraded unit for that. UPDATE : After a year of use, I’m unfortunately reporting two issues with this unit. First, the nonstick coating has become quite sensitive to scratches; possibly cause I did use metal utensils, but despite precautions, I’ve ended up with several scratches. Second, when cleaning the unit, I discovered that if water seeps into the holes underneath, it can damage the LED bulb and blow it out near the button. It seems essential to be extremely careful while cleaning to prevent water from getting under the unit. Because of my concerns about the nonstick surface exposing metal, I’ve decided to retire this once-loved unit. I may consider upgrading to the model with a handle and multiple settings. Still an amazing product and will be missed. I may just keep it around to heat water for…something other than eating ?

I love it however it cooks very fast. You have to sir constantly. Do not leave unattended otherwise you will scorch your food. There's only a high and low settings. Low seems to only keep your food warm.

I purchased the TOPWIT in December 2022 and absolutely love it. Today 10/20/2025, Monday I dropped the lid on ceramic tile floor and it splintered and shattered into many different sized pieces. I went to see if I could order another lid only to find out the Topwit Hot Pot I originally ordered is no longer available. What a bummer. I would love to have a second Topwit hot pot like my first one. I thought the color, value and looks were top notch. It is extremely easy to use without any issues. It fit my purpose for use perfectly. I preferred the on off switch on the handle than a rotating switch on the side.

I like small light weight extremely useful items and this fits the bill. Boils water FAST and is a great size for one or two servings. Clean up has not been a problem and the removable cord is a big plus because it packs down small. I cook at home but it could also be a great choice for those on the go.

I bought this for a couple of reasons. I work night shift and share a house with my mother so I'm always looking for things I can use to lessen the noise I make on nights when I'm awake and she's sleeping - so I thought this would be a good way to reheat soups or make pasta that meant I could stay in my room. I also thought that if it worked well I could take it to work to make fresh pasta versus reheating pasta or something. It works...okay. I made pasta in it first and it did all right. Water heated up quickly and the pasta cooked as normal. Dumped the pasta to drain and tossed some pasta sauce in to heat it up. This is where I started to notice an issue. The pasta sauce scalded to the bottom of the cooker pretty quickly. I dumped the pasta back in, mixed it up, and it was all fine but it was more of a mess than anticipated to clean. It wasn't HARD to clean, per se. I put some water in, let it sit for a bit, then was able to get all the scalded sauce off with minimal effort. The scalding issue is definitely a recurrent issue. I've made/reheated several soups in this and anything creamy based will scald very very easily, even on the "low" setting. It still heats it up nice and rather quickly, but even if you stir constantly, you're going to end up with scalded/burnt bottom. Also I've noticed that it shuts itself off rather quickly and randomly. I know it has an "anti-over-heat" setting that keeps it getting too hot but the last time I used it I barely got my soup to temperature and it had shut itself off. Overall - works okay for what it is but definitely not what I was looking for.

I'm loving this pot. It's great wish it was bigger.

Well, this item was delivered to me on March 23. Today is now March 27. I have cooked in this item for approximately four times. I cooked beans and vegetables so I would use the highest setting until the water started boiling and then I cut it back down to the first setting until the beans were cooked. I was cooking more beans and vegetables and then all of a sudden, I heard something as the glass fell and hit the floor so upon further investigating, I saw that the pot was no longer cooking and that the heating element apparently burst . Unfortunately, I was very pleased with the pot, but if it’s not going to last more than a week, then it’s not worth buying so I do not recommend the product.
