High-Quality Orchid Bark – Perfect for Happy, Healthy Roots
If you’re serious about orchid care or need a premium bark mix for aeration and drainage, SuperMoss Orchid Potting Bark is a fantastic choice. I’ve used many brands over the years, and this one stands out for its high-quality, natural composition, and ideal chunk size—perfect for orchids, aroids, and even reptile habitats! 🌱 Ideal for Orchids & Epiphytic Plants This bark has been a game-changer for my phalaenopsis, cattleya, and dendrobium orchids. The chunky, well-sized pieces provide excellent aeration, allowing roots to breathe while retaining just the right amount of moisture. Unlike some cheaper brands that contain too much dust or small debris, this mix is clean and well-sifted—which means less waste and longer-lasting potting media. 💦 Excellent Drainage to Prevent Root Rot One of the biggest issues with orchids is overwatering, but this bark helps keep moisture levels balanced. It absorbs water without staying soggy, making it ideal for repotting and preventing fungal or bacterial issues. I’ve noticed healthier root growth and fewer problems with root rot since switching to this mix. ✅ Versatile & Long-Lasting Beyond orchids, I’ve used this bark for: ✔ Aroids like monstera, philodendrons & anthuriums ✔ Terrariums & vivariums – great for reptile enclosures ✔ Mulching houseplants & garden beds It holds up remarkably well over time, breaking down much more slowly than lower-quality bark mixes. 🌎 100% Natural & Eco-Friendly I appreciate that this bark is natural, untreated, and free from chemicals—safe for plants, pets, and the environment. No weird dyes or additives, just pure, high-quality fir bark that enhances plant health. Final Verdict: If you need chunky, durable, and high-quality bark for orchids, terrariums, or tropical plants, SuperMoss delivers. The clean, well-sized pieces, excellent drainage, and natural composition make it worth every penny. I’ll definitely be using this brand for all my future repotting needs! 💡 Pro Tip: Soak the bark for 15–30 minutes before use to help it absorb moisture more evenly and extend its longevity. Nice and Chunky
Largish bark chips and they smell wonderful. It's my understanding that fir bark is the preferred choice for orchids. Decent sized bag. Not cheap but excellent quality.

Actually Chunky
I kept buying bark and it kept arriving looking like sawdust or mulch. Nothing you would expect when buying orchid bark. I finally decided to try this brand. I bought this and it was absolutely perfect. Will definitely be buying this on the regular. I cannot stress enough for those that want orchid bark for chunky soil, this is actually chunky. D see

Good quanitity and quality for a fair price
Very pleased with this purchase. The quantity is good for the price. I am using it to mix my own medium for my plants to cater to their individual needs vs buying pre-made stuff. Allows excess water to drain quickly but helps retain moisture these babies need to thrive. Easy to use, functions as intended. I am happy with the look and feel (and SMELL) of this product. My plants seem very happy and healthy.

Good size, but has gnats
The bark is a good size and looks like it's high quality. Unfortunately my bag must have had a small hole because there were some bark powder in the shipping box. The bag also had fungus gnats flying around the bark when I opened it. I'm going to leave my plant outside a while so the gnats don't invade my home.

It's Blooming! It's Blooming!
It's blooming! My Christmas cactus hasn't bloomed for a couple years and now it's blooming! The only thing I changed was adding SuperMoss orchid bark to the top. When I report it in the next couple years, I will add more SuperMoss to the entire pot. But for now, this superior product is the answer I've been looking for. I looked everywhere in brick and mortar stores and couldn't find a good one or one that was reasonably priced. This one checked both boxes. When I started researching why mine did not bloom, I found that orchid potting bark mimics the plant's natural environment of growing on trees. It creates soil pores or air pockets so that the cactus can naturally breathe. The orchid bark also prevents root rot and disease by not allowing water to sit in the pot. Another benefit is this product absorbs the water and then releases it slowly to the plant. It will slowly decompose through the plant's long life, which in return will provide organic nutrients to the cactus. SuperMoss is by far better than the brick and mortar choices. I'll purchase more soon and will start any new plants with a combination of soil, orchid bark and other mediums.

Pieces are slightly bigger than expected. Overall a good buy :)
Excellent product! Great for making your own chunky potting soil. Will purchase again. Its a good amount for the price. Pieces are 1-2 inches big on average.

Expensive for the amount but good quality
Used to repot my orchid collection. Product was just as advertised and fast delivery. Pieces (little nuggets) averaged 1/4” - 1/2” and fit nicely in the perforated pots without spilling out yet holding some moisture for plants. I mixed in some old orchid mix I had from another brand that was far too small to use in its own, just to use it up. I’ll definitely buy again when I need to repot.
