Good good product and did the job perfectly.
I've been replacing the small trim complete pieces that fell off and or needed to be fabricated for my 1964 Silver Streek Trailer. When useless as directed this is a fantastic contact Cement for wood and other materials. As I finish off the final trim for the kitchen and bathroom I'll be using it to attach the backsplash . Be sure to put a thin even coat on both surfaces. Make sure that both services are clean and smooth. If you made a little drip here there on the other wood, sometimes you can use a mineral oil or turpentine to clean it off. Be sure you will apply even pressure and lots of it so that whatever you're attaching stays together. None of the things that I've glued have come apart. This is the original high-quality contact Cement that was used from the 60s. I recommend buying a bigger 32oz can for value, this was expensive for a small bottle. You get more value if you buy the bigger container which I ended up by doing. I needed more for backsplash. It does outgas when drying and when the can is open. If for any reason you have super sensitivity to the smells of contact glue or other chemicals, higher professional because this is a great stuff and buying glue that's made out of water. Probably won't hold anything together for a very long when it comes to vinyl and or the repair of wood trim. lt does have a lot of smell, so make sure that you are in a well ventilated area but once it dries, the smell goes away. So, this can comes to the small applicator and it was handy and good to use. I wear gloves disposable rubber gloves so that it keeps the glue from getting on your fingers and hands. This is a thicker glue that you brush on and then you brush it on the other surface and after you wait about 2 to 4 minutes, you push the two together and it will stick and hold once it dries. I'd say it's completely dry within 48 hours with normal temperatures being between 60° and 79°. I don't know if I would use this if it's colder than 60° so make sure you keep the area warm but don't use an open flame heater and don't leave any of this unattended. Don't leave the can open unattended keep out of the reach of children. I believe that it's possible these fumes might be both toxic and flammable. If you don't know what you're doing hire a professional. I would not recommend using this glue for fixing ceramic or something where you would not expect to see the glue in the seams. That said you don't see the glue when you attach vinyl. If you wanna put glue on something and attach it to your wall permanently, this is the stuff. If you wanted to put backsplash up this glue would work very well. The pros that is that it's a high-quality glue and once things are put together, they don't come apart. The cons are that it is very strong fumes while the chemicals possibly acetone, or some other solvent evaporates into the air. Once the evaporation process is over, there's no more smell, and the bond between whatever was glued is solid! If in a tight spot put a fan so that there's air fresh air blowing in the room where you're working. Also do not line a match just to be extra cautious. I don't think this is something that would blow anybody up, but you might get a headache if you work in an area full of rubber glue or Contact cement for a long period of time. There's other brands out there, but this one here seems to be one of the best.

Strong bond for power wheels tire upgrade will set fast and hold well
Used DAP Weldwood Contact Cement for a kids ride-on tire project and it worked exactly how you want contact cement to work: apply to both surfaces, let it tack up, press together, and it grabs hard. Once it makes contact it’s basically “done,” which is perfect when you need the tire material to stay put without creeping or peeling. I likely didn’t need the extra nails but used for completeness as a belt and suspenders approach. Bond has held up well to real use (rolling, turning, and kid abuse). The consistency is easy to spread and it flashes off quickly so you’re not waiting forever between coats. Tips that matter: prep is everything so clean/degrease the tire and scuff slick plastic/rubber, apply thin even coats to BOTH sides, and give it enough tack time before joining. If you need a reliable adhesive for tire-related DIY fixes/mods, this is a solid choice.

As expected - specialized flexible adhesive and not simply another glue
Contact cement works well at bonding a lot materials while remaining flexible, which makes it great at bonding rubbers, plastics and vinyl. It takes a little getting used to due to the application being an apply to both things, dry a while and then press together. It is all about the right texture and the wait always makes me feel like I am waiting too long, but the instant cementing happens when you wait long enough for the magic to happen. Although a smaller size, it is still a large size for the average person just hoping to fix 1 or 2 things. It seals well, bit I am not sure what it's shelf life will be after using it. It is a very specialized adhesive, if this is what you 'need' then it is worth the cost of having extra. If you do a lot of projects that require using it then it is a good value. Otherwise, some people will find it expensive. It is a matter of priorities on this item. It does have a stronger smell, as I believe it is solvent based and that might bother some people sensitive to those types of odors.

DAP actually delivers what most spray-on contact cements advertise (and later fall short).
I've tried every spray on contact cement out there, and all of them pale in comparison to this stuff. Use it as directed and it's about as close to "professional grade" that you'll find. All of the repairs have result in "factory new" (and often better- given that I was repairing factory jobs) performance and durability. Buy a small bag of cheap disposable shop brushes, and you'll be all set for your next upholstery, shoe repair, etc. project.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT, USE IT WEEKLY NOW. A+++
I LOVE THIS STUFF !! I wish I would of bought yrs ago. I bought it to repair a pair of shoes. It did an amazing job but then I started using it to fix all kinds of things around my house. It only smells for a minute, dries quickly and works better than super glue types. The brush is easy to use and to manage the how much glue you need. I will buy the bigger can next time. A+++ product
