These are great! Waterproof and great for wide feet
I love these boots! I wanted a boot that offered wide sizing, was waterproof without turning my feet into a sauna, and were stylish enough to wear when not in the wilderness. These boots delivered on all fronts. My roommates all commented on how cute they were when I first got them. I really like the teal/ white/ black/ beige colorway on the teal pair. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and we're having a particularly rainy June this year. On a recent camping trip, I hiked in the rain and waded through puddles and flowing streams and my feet stayed completely dry. I'm into rockhounding, so I also also scrambled over a bunch of wet rocks in the pouring rain. My feet stayed dry and the sole was *extremely* grippy - no slipping! I don't always bother to post reviews, but other people's reviews are what made me take a chance on this brand, and I'm very glad I did! As others have noted, the boots also come with extra shoelaces and a nice pair of free hiking socks. I saw that some people had some issues with inconsistent sizing in the past, but I think Foxelli has resolved the issues. I ordered my usual size, 8.5 wide, and found them to be true to size, with a generous toe box and no rubbing - even when my feet swelled while hiking. I highly recommend these boots! I'll come back and edit this review if I have any issues with durability over time, but even after getting very wet and muddy for days on my trip, these boots look good as new. Thanks for a great, affordable product, Foxelli!

Awesome straight out of the box!!
I was impressed as soon as I opened the box! These shoes are half the price of the hiking shoes I usually purchase. What was in the box? These shoes came a new pair of socks & an extra pair of shoe laces. Super awesome! Iโve bought shoes that are double the price & they never gave me extra laces, let alone free socks! Next I put the shoes on and went for a hike. It had rained the night before so I knew the path would be damp. However it was more than that, I had to go though puddles on the trail. There was heavy brush on the sides so no going around, had to just walk right in the water. These shoes were awesome! Not a drop of water leaking into the sole or seams of them. In some places there was at least 3 to 4 inches in water. My favorite part is that the top of the shoe laced nice & tight around my ankle, so it kept fox tails & burrs from getting into my shoes. I walk almost 3 miles in them right out of the box. No blisters, no rubbing no issues & without wearing heavy or thick socks either. Overall Iโm extremely happy with the results of my purchase!

Finally -- a decent hiker
I have tried at least a dozen hikers from the most popular brands (Oboz, Keen, Merrell, etc) and just couldn't find a good fit. I need some toe room in the front and a toe box that is deep enough so my toes don't hit the top of the boot. Also, I need a heel that is snug enough so it doesn't slide around. A decent amount of support with a medium arch support and a really good outsole since I live in the desert SW and the trails are sandy and rocky. I bought these boots after reading glowing reviews from both men and women. And people raved about getting free socks, etc. My boots just arrived in a box that was unmarked. Clearly they had been tried on before - lots of scuff marks on the leather and some grass and dirt on the insoles, but they are comfortable enough that I may keep them. My big toe is close to the end of the boot and I don't want to end up with bruising or painful feet midway through a hike. So I just ordered another pair 1/2 size larger. Normally I wear an 8. I ordered an 8W in the ones I just got. I am going to try the 9W and hope they don't end up being too big so that i can't get a snug fit. Fingers crossed. Here's what I think about these boots. They look good which is a bonus but not my first concern. They are really gusseted to keep out the debris. Some boots are gusseted only halfway down. On these, the entire tongue is gusseted which is better. The laces are long enough and seem that they will stay tied. The soles are nice and chunky and rubbery with great traction and they look durable. The insole is really squishy and thick. I'm hoping it isn't too thick because that can make my feet hot and painful after a few miles. I don't have a replacement insole because I am having trouble finding the perfect insole for my feet which are really sensitive, it seems, because so many insoles are just uncomfortable, regardless of the socks I wear. (I wear Darn Tough, Bombas, Balega, etc) But I just got some WalkHero insoles which come in exact sizes so you don't have to cut them. They are on the stuff side but well cushioned, so maybe they will work if needed. I quit buying Keens because of the crappy yellow and black insoles they started using in all their shoes and boots. Those insoles make my feet burn for some reason. And they are too soft under my toes which makes them ache. So I have been on the lookout for a different brand of boot. I walk/hike at least 3-6 miles per day every single day of the year, so I need a good boot. Oh, yes, I also bought some Ariat Canyon II boots in 8.5W. Perfect fit. Not gusseted, but I'm going to keep them because I love Ariats and they don't wear out easily. The insole is thin and the leather is stiff, but they will loosen up. So that's another good one for people who need a wide toe box, good support, and a long-lasting sole.

Great quality, very warm, extremely comfortable
These boots have not let me down yet! I've had them a few months and have worn them regulary at my work (woodshop/warehouse) and on walks) Only worn them camping once, but it was a fairly cold trip (30's-30's F) and they did pretty well keeping my feet warm for a few houra at a time. I have terrible circulation though, and if the temperature is under my body temp my feet will eventually freeze regardless of socks and shoes, so I imagine that for someone with better circulation their feet wouldn't go cold in these temps. I've also been wearing them generally since its cold out and they do the best at keeping my feet warm. (I wear dedicated, non-wool hiking socks) They are extremely comfortable, they broke in so easily. There was a bit of friction in between my toes after a while on the camping trip but I also handn't broken them in yet and I was wearing them for 3 days straight. No issues since then. They are a little flat with not a lot of arch support but I have special inserts that fit under the sole very easily, there's plenty of room. Idk what material the soles are but they're extremely squishy even after a few months of regular wear now. I walked through puddles and shallow creeks but avoided really testing how water proof these were. The toe area on the outside of the shoes definitely got a little wet and my toes stayed dried, but I didn't waterlog them or anything. Either way, I suggest people spray them down with some water resistant spray just in case. So far they've taken quite a beating in only a few months and don't really show it other than being sort of dirty. Nothing has punctured or scratched through them yet. The shoe laces are designed to lock up so they aren't untying on you, almost like those curly laces but not quite that noodley-looking. I definitely haven't had a problem with them untying. They're also super stylish of course. Its honestly shocking how high quality these boots are. I really didn't expect it especially for the price. They also came with a very comfortable pair of socks. I highly reccomend these to anyone who wants to go hiking im the cold (not deep snow though, they aren't that tall)

Supportive, comfy, cute
Hi! So, I just got these and have only worn them for a day. Love the look of them. No other grey ones are as cool/stylish.lol They're not too heavy or bulky. If they looked huge or were heavy and clunky on, I'd have return them. I'm kinda small (5'4, 120ish, size 6.5 -7 in shoes and I got a size 7.5 in these which seems perfect, leaving just a little extra room) and like to wear lighter, slender/"skinnier" and super comfy shoes- after those come the looks of the shoe/boot. These seemed more slender looking than some others with a much less bulky/fat looking toe area and cheaper than some I was considering too (like merrell/keen). Update after a couple weeks* The foot bed seems just a tad skinny near the toe joints after wearing them a while and it Could just be me but I've never worn a wide and have had no issues with other shoes. That is the only complaint I have - I wish the were just a tiny bit wider in that area. Definitely get a half a size bigger, maybe a whole size if you like a good amount of extra room. Half a size bigger than my normal leaves maybe half an inch of room from toe to end of boot (inside) if I snug my heal up against the boot.* They seem to be great quality boots with nice looking double stitches most everywhere there is stitching, it seems strong. The foot bed is nice and padded, comfy. On the outside of my foot, right before the pinky toe in that joint area, started to feel a little sore after a while wearing them. I loosened up the laces in that area and it was better. They are brand new, so some of that is to be expected, right? These are nice with a nicer price too. They do seem to be pretty supportive and the eyelets for the laces seem quit tough and sturdy too. They came with extra laces and a little surprise that goes along too. (Thanks for that, Foxelli, they are nice! That was a nice touch. Love that year warranty as well!)

Perfect out of the box!
Didn't require any break in. Used them straight out of the box for a 5 hour walk. No rubbing, no blisters. Nice and snug with very comfortable toe room. Super well made. And the hiking socks included were the best I've worn. Not tight around my calves, but I don't have big calves. I wear these every day now to walk my dog. On our daily 20 min walk in the morning and our 1 hour walk at night.

Order your regular size!
After reading all the reviews along with questions and reviewing the posted size chart I ordered down on this boot. DON'T go by the size chart or the reviews. I ordered the teal in a 7 1/2. I'm a size 8 1/2 W in almost all shoes. My foot measures 9 5/8" long x 4" wide. According to their size chart a 7 1/2 should have fit. I barely squeezed my foot into it for one second. It was extremely tight. I'm amazed I got my foot in at all. I'm going to try one more time and go with an 8 1/2 W. If it fits, I will update my review. Also, there were NO COMPLIMENTARY SOCKS INCLUDED! Just an extra set of shoe strings. The shoe strings are a bit on the long side, could be shorter. Not a big deal. The boots looked like they were previously tried on. Maybe that's where the socks got to or, they don't include them anymore. We'll see when I receive the next pair! UPDATE: May 3, 2022 Received size 8 1/2, my regular size for foot that measures 9 5/8" long x 4" wide. When I stand up my toe is almost touching the very top and the width is snug wearing a very thin sock. I'm debating whether to try one more time and order a 9W. I moved my 4 star rating to a FIVE star. Why? The seller is excellent with service. And the boot is absolutely beautiful. I can see me trekking into Home Depot in these boots, as I often do and drawing envious looks from all, lol. It's a very high quality boot, every bit as good as Merrells, if not better! It has a very nice cushy insole, which most boots lack. The insole is removeable. VERY COMFY! I love the fact it has a one yr. warranty upon registering. THIS PAIR CAME WITH THE COMPLIMENTARY SOCKS! So yes, the company is still doing this. Kudos and 10 thumbs up to them for being an amazing company! Just have to tell you one more time, it's a really BEAUTIFUL BOOT! UPDATE: June 8, 2022 I'm finished boot shopping. I tried a slew of boots! Not kidding! Propets, no thanks, Merrells, I'll pass, KEEN-4 different pairs! Columbia, not wide enough. I have an extemely hard to fit foot. Only one other boot I would have considered was a KEEN. It was much more expensive but, didn't have the nice cushy insole these do. I need that right now with having Plantar Fasciitis. I came back here, ordered the 9W which is my size in boots. The wide in these is actually the widest boot I have tried on out of the MANY! Should have just done that from the start. I could have saved my self a lot of time and trouble. These are good boots, there are better out there but, you will pay more. I don't need them for hiking, just yard work. I am now the proud owner of a very comfy, beautiful pair of boots. Now I hate the thought of getting them dirty, lol.
