Product description CrossBlock II is a topical flea treatment for cats that kills adult fleas as well as their eggs and larvae. It contains imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen, and starts working within 2 hours, providing a full month of protection. CrossBlock also prevents re-infestation of fleas by stopping fleas from reproducing. The waterproof formula comes in easy-to-open, individual dose applicators. When to Use Use monthly to treat and prevent flea infestation on cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older. It is possible pre-existing pupae in the environment may continue to emerge for 6 weeks or longer depending on climatic conditions. Use CrossBlock II For Cats & Kittens monthly for the control and prevention of flea re-infestations. Directions The cat should be standing or in a comfortable position for easy application. Apply the entire contents of the applicator evenly to three spots along the catโs back, from the shoulder to the base of the tail. At each spot, part the hair down to the level of the skin and gently squeeze the applicator to apply the product. Avoid superficial application to the catโs hair. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution to any one spot. This could cause the product to run off the cat. Do not get the product in the catโs eyes or mouth or allow your cat to ingest the product. Discard the empty applicator. If empty, place in trash or offer for recycling, if available. If partly filled, call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain. Repeat every month, or as recommended by your veterinarian. Precautions For external use on cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older. Do not use on dogs. If there are multiple pets in close proximity, keep them separated until the area where Crossblock II was administered has dried to avoid contamination by licking. Contains Active ingredients: Imidacloprid 9.10% and Pyriproxyfen 0.46%. Review: Excellent mid-priced product - For our cats, I put this on the same level of effectiveness as the much more expensive Advantage products, which we have tried extensively. I appreciate the lower price-point here & I plan to purchase more. The past few years in the Midwest have been ATROCIOUS for fleas & we've been at war with the beasts in our home during prime flea season, & this product definitely helped keep them at bay during late summer/early fall. Application is easy & not messy at all if done properly. Be certain to get as much as possible directly on the skin not the fur. Also be sure it's on the upper neck/back of the head area, as there is a good amount of liquid in these applicators & excess may be prone to run. We haven't seen but maybe a stray (but clearly struggling) flea or 2 on our kitties since application a couple weeks ago & they barely itch at all anymore. This makes everyone very happy. No this product is not as cheap as PetArmor, which we have also tried extensively, but it does the job MUCH better comparatively. Fyi our war on fleas was finally victorious after a multi-faceted approach involving 2 house-wide sprinklings of food-grade DE, which I left on for about a week, then swept, vacuumed & mopped up. But the huge table turner was the house-wide application of a Precor 2000 Plus aerosol spray, which includes both an instant flea killer & a long-term growth inhibitor, & it also dried pretty quickly as an added bonus. All of this combined w/ regular vacuuming & the use of this product on our kitties allowed us to get our particular situation completely under control. In short, highly recommend this mid-point cost alternative to much more expensive brands. Review: Works better than Revolution and Front line Plus - We were using generic Frontline plus on our cats. It did not work very well and the cats tried hard to resist having them dosed. We switched to Crossblock II and one of our cats gives us no problems when we dose him. The other doesn't like being held much so she puts up some resistance but not nearly as hard as she used to. It seems that the other medicine's smell is what set off the cats to resist. After changing to this product, we noticed no unpleasant smell, and we thing that's what the cats mostly objected to. A year ago we had a bad flea infestation. I used a combination of an insecticide and insect growth regulator (IGR) that exterminators use and did 2 treatments to the house. We switched to Crossblock shortly after that and have not had any flea problem. We've even forgot to dosed the two cats we have and did it about 2 weeks late twice. The cats did not scratch, so there were no fleas. Our cats are on the borderline weight range so we get the over 9 pound dose package. This stuff works very well and I don't see any reason to change. We see no ill effects on either cat, no area of irritation at the dosing site, nothing negative at all. This generic of Advantage II also takes care of heartworm and intestinal worms in cats, though I don't believe they can advertise that in the US. I'd buy again
It appears to work, although I use it as a preventative rather than as a treatment. I reapplied at 3 weeks because she seemed itchy but still it's a good value for under $5 a dose. Kitty doesn't get a bald spot like with some treatments and she doesn't appear to hate me for a day afterward (I think some others burn!) so I'll definitely use it again.

It freaking works people
Spring has sprung and flea season begun. I tried hartz, pet armour, then this was my 3rd attempt into flea drops. This one here worked. Heres what I did. I gave my cats a lion cut myself at home. I bathed them. I FLEA COMBED the EGGS and left over fleas from the top of their head as that's where they all migrated to after the lion cut. (Shudder) their faces became ground zero for fleas it was horrible. Anyways after all the above I applied the cross block and they are flea free. To be sure I also put bug killer treatment in my backyard where my indoor/outdoor dogs venture and I also them bathed my dogs outside with dawn and then let them air dry and also put flea drops on them. I also vacuum vigorously and walla I appear to be flea free! At last at last I'm free of fleas at last. (I tried all of the above with hartz and pet armour to no avail, it only worked with crossblock). I actually have 5 cats and only put flea drops on the 3 biggest cats and 2 large dogs. 2 cats have no flea medicine and still dont have fleas as their benefitting from herd protection hahaha true

Works Good for outdoor cat
I have an outdoor/ barn cat who's job it is to keep all the mice, rats and squirrels out of my hay. He does a great job, and I want to keep all the fleas off him from those nasty rodents. So far, I've used this 3 or 4 times and it seems to be working well. I never see him scratching. It does need to be re-applied every month.

" Completely Changed Cats Personality "
UPDATE; OK, it's now 8 days since treatment was applied. The cat last night "Stayed" in his doghouse. This morning, he came in the house and was "Ravenous." He ate his regular cat food, like he hadn't eaten in a week (which he pretty much hadn't.) He also stopped the "Loud Meowing." After eating his cat food, he proceeded to go over and throw himself into his large doggie bed and go to sleep. We haven't seen any of this behavior for 8 days. So, I have to give one more star to my review. The cat seems to have returned to his "Pre-Hysterical" self. I would say, since this is such a "STRONG" medication and it is a poison, put a "Half Dose" on your cat, until you see how they react. We won't use it on this cat again. He had too strong of a reaction. Original Review Applied this to 9 pound cat 5 days ago. Since then, his personality has changed "completely." Not sure if this caused some kind of neurological problem or psychological problem. He's become a different cat. Before, he would be happy to sleep in his indoor pet bed and always loved his cat food (more than loved it.) He has a dog house on the front porch with blankets and his bedding and toys that he loves. You can nearly always find him there. He never meowed. Since we applied this flea medicine. He won't sleep in his indoor pet bed, he goes through the house meowing at the top of his lungs, he stands outside meowing loudly (you'd think we were murdering him), he will not go near his beloved doghouse, he won't eat and he won't stay in the house more than 3 or 4 minutes and then he has to get out. He used to have a patio chair he loved to lay on and he won't go near that. It snowed last night and he always goes into his doghouse when it's cold or comes into the house. We checked all through the night and he was nowhere to be found. He came back this morning, but wouldn't eat, so I fixed him some chicken. Normally, I wouldn't get him off his catfood, but he loves chicken and he has to eat something. He gobbled the chicken down, drank some water and then meowed frantically, again like he was being strangled. I let him out and he took off running in the snow, into the woods. We're hoping that whatever is going on, will wear off or the cat will come back to his senses. All the cats are rescue or feral cats and the other cats are looking at him like, "what is wrong with you?" But, they're backing off and giving him his space. We can only do the same. These kinds of cats have to pretty much do what they want. They're not like regular domestic housecats. He will allow my sister to pet him and she was able to get the flea medicine on him, but I can only feed him. He is still semi-feral. So, I can only report on what happened to this cat. This is a poison and some people have reported their cats losing hair, vomiting or being burned by it. Does it work on the fleas? Not sure, because cat won't stand still long enough to tell. I would not purchase it again & I do not recommend it. Thank you for reading my review.

Works great!
I have two cats and two dogs living in a southern state with a ton of fleas. I have also fostered cats before and I know first hand how bad fleas can get very fast. I and the organization have spent big bucks on flea meds. However, I saw some of this being sold at the humane society and looked it up. I ordered some to just try not expecting much of it. I was spending around $100 a month for our 4 pets and still would see some-even with the most expensive vet brands. Personally, this has worked the best and much less expensive. I refuse to use the $3 stuff from Walmart because itโs dangerous and does not work. However, Iโm super skeptical and this works great. It has been what we used since. Like any other brand, make sure to keep your animals on the same RX cycle and do it consistently per the directions. I do comb mine with a flea brush also every few days. Itโs hot here and my dogs go outside so they are prone to them. Great product!

This pesticide can't be safe for my little dude
Purchased Crossblock II for cats over 9 lbs for my tabby Martin Luther Kitty Jr. He is about 4 years old, 9.5 lbs. I will never purchase again. 15 minutes after application, was salivating and vomiting. The insert said this can happen if he ingests it: HE DIDN'T, I watched him. I called my vet who instructed me to give him a bath immediately, which I did. Who knows what lasting effects this stuff will have. Second, be aware this PESTICIDE MEDICATION has NO EXPIRATION DATE on the packaging. Anywhere, outside or inside. I contacted the company, Ceva Animal Health, who stated as long as the item is kept at room temperature, it is shelf-stable FOREVER. How is that possible? How is that legal? Next time I will pay more and purchase a brand I can trust for Luther. He is worth it!
