I bought this for my mom who suffers from macular degeneration. It does magnify her phone screen so she can see better and I think this would be great if her condition wasn't so progressed.

Works if you have a bigger cell

This does enhance the use of a cell phone while watching video or reading. I've only used it while watching videos. Be careful with the parts under the bottom to adjust the magnifier. I bought two of these and the other one I gave to my adult son which the piece under the bottom to adjust the magnifier broke. Overall, this is a pretty neat item to have around to enhance the screen on your phone.

First and foremost, your phone will NOT be magnified to fill this screen, like their photos lead you to believe unless you are at least 6 feet away from it. At a more normal viewing distance for this size display (more on that below) there will be about 1-2” of unfilled space around all sides the phone, if centered through the screen. Now, let’s grab a ruler… their 16” screen claim refers actually to the plastic casing that houses the screen (9.25x12.25” and 15.5” corner to corner), not the screen itself, which is ~6.25x11” and only 12.75” corner to corner. And again, you’re still not even getting a 12” display from this unless you stand hilariously far from it. That said, this does magnify. And it very much looks and feels like you’re staring through a magnifying lens. The view is a bit distorted and so far my eyes are not enjoying this. I haven’t been able to look comfortably through the screen for very long, which thwarts my plan to use this for movie watching. But adjusting the height of the front so there is more tilt, making the phone positioned at the bottom of the magnifier seems to help some. The case does have “legs”, like you’d see on a keyboard, but they’re not tall enough for the tilt I’d prefer. They’re also loose, like if you close them and then lift up the case, one of the legs falls out of the slot they retract into. Not a big deal, but makes me question how long before they fall out or break. The plastic case itself seems flimsy and poorly made. The screen doesn't always slide in/out smoothly - not that it’s difficult, just oddly cumbersome because it gets caught on itself. The first time I opened it, the corner/hinge of the screen popped out completely. It was easy to pop back in, but not what I’d expect fresh out the box. Probably the only thing I’m satisfied with is the spot where your phone sits. The little hatch opens easily and has two tiny magnets that keep it closed. There’s a soft pad inside for your phone to rest on and avoid sliding. At the current almost $30 price point, I’m not surprised they had to lie about pretty much every aspect of this product to get you to buy it. I’d have rated this 2 stars, but sinking it to 1 because of the obviously intentional inaccuracies in the description and product photos.

Excellent for camping and travel adventures if you don't want to bring your smartphone AND tablet AND computer. We watched several movies and television shows that we pre-downloaded on our smartphone and it worked great for our small tent area. It does show some glare if you have lanterns on and some of the circles from the magnification lens does show in certain movies and light. Overall a nice lightweight, easy to pack gadget.

I love this iPhone screen enlarger! It’s very easy to use! I’m impressed! It looks weird! You’d think it would not work by looking at it. I was very surprised how well it works! I bought 12” one. I’m really thinking to purchase the 16” one now! I’m So very with this purchase!!

Not at all what it claimed to be.

Its just a huge magnifying glass. Literally.

Actually this works well as a large magnifer, not just for the phone.
