MOONCOOL Electric Trike for Adults, 500W/750W 20" Fat Tire Folding Tricycle

I knew there are e-scooters and e-bicycles but I didn’t know that there are e-tricycles! I’m still getting used to riding this because tricycles rides differently. It has 3 wheels, there are seven pedal assist speeds, there’s a throttle, there’s a screen on the handlebars… whew! It’s like a motorcycle with three wheels! Easy & fun exercising! I’m still a beginner and I’m still trying to ride safely and not fall off. I bought the orange color for safety.

I love this trike! I have been overdoing it because I love it so much and am feeling it in my muscles but it is worth it. It took a while for me to get the hang of it (always put parking brake on when mounting or dismounting). Once I got used to my trike, it was so much fun. I put my little dog in the front basket for a ride and I think she enjoyed it. I have been watching independent reviews and they are impressed by the features and ride. It is solid and well made. I am 68 years old and I believe this is one of my best purchases.

The bike is nice. I did however have a problem with a squeak. They sent replacement parts but it did not help. I was frustrated but customer did fully replace the bike with an upgraded model. I’m looking forward to trying it out. I would recommend this product and company.

I wish there was a way to rate this minus stars. We received our trike in early January and after riding it twice the throttle stopped working. That was over two months ago. We contacted the seller for support and have been jumping through their hoops ever since. They send troubleshooting instructions but nothing works. Then they asks us to video our troubleshooting step. Next they ordered a replacement throttle which took almost 3 weeks to get here. We replaced it and still no magic. Now they’ve sent more troubleshooting instructions and asked that we video the steps. Really? I believe they are stalling waiting for the warranty to expire. They ask us to troubleshoot and send videos of the steps we take. Unfortunately the video files are too large to email or attach to an Amazon message. Do yourself a favor AND DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! We are out $1500 and still cannot ride the trike after two months of trying to resolve the problem. We can’t even return the trike. What a rip-off Mooncool is!!

The bike is well-made and ran without any problems. After unpacking the bike, I found that it had a broken throttle handle on the handlebar. I could ride the bike it was with a little difficulty because of the throttle handle being cracked. I have been waiting over three months for a replacement part with absolutely little or no communication. I turned it over to Amazon two weeks ago and still no communication. I am currently dealing directly with the manufacturer once I found a telephone number to call they seem to be very prompt but still no throttle handle. Just be leery if you need to replace part, it may be difficult.

Received this about a week ago and these are my thoughts after week one. So much fun! This one folds, so it was super easy to assemble. The size is great, I'm 5'4" and my daughter is 4'9" and we can both ride comfortably. We take trails, some dirt and it rides awesome on both, including roads. I do wish the blinkers were on the front as well, just for more safety but I'm happy that we have them on the back! My daughter bought her own and we take them out nightly. Last night, we rode for a little over 2 hours and mine was close to dead but we averaged about 4 miles, so I'm confused on why the battery drained so fast. Definitely worth the money. We will be using them for a couple more weeks to just make sure we are still in long with them and we will invest in review mirror! I love the colors! Mine is the Orange (or Cinnamon) and my daughter has the robin egg blue one. Love that they have 2 baskets too, we have room for our dogs (eventually) and bags and drinks to take along as well. I will update after I've had it for a few weeks but so far, I'm in love. (I do feel the fenders are a bit flimsy and my daughters dented fairly easy, our fault they dented but I don't feel they should have but does not affect how the bike rides) Love the 3 wheels as I am getting older and don't have to worry about balancing or putting my feet down at every corner.

This trike is quite a bit better than I expected. plenty of power for my 235lbs and the workmanship is excellent, something I've never said before about a China product.

Love this bike super riding only one issue I'm having, is the seat does not stay tight...other then that the bike is fabulous super fun to ride

This review is for the folding Mooncool bike Tk1. I really would have liked the seat on the other model but it doesn't come folded and I saw many people complain that it was hard to put together. I chose this model because it came folded and it was almost fully built. All that was needed was to put on the front wheel and add the baskets. It is very sturdy and I feel safe on it. I can no longer ride a 2 wheel bike because of balance issues. It takes some practice to get the feel of the trike. It can go pretty fast, but I prefer the slower speed to just enjoy the ride. It rides very smooth, the seat is comfortable, and the display is simple to understand.

The trike itself was wonderful, it did however not work for my abilities.

The bike seems well built and my wife cannot wait to use it. Unfortunately it was received with a badly bent back wheel rim. It looks like it was damaged in shipping. I understand it was not the vendors fault and they have answered my questions quickly, however, they are out of stock of replacement rims. It has been weeks and we have not been able to use the trike. When and if I get the new rim I will update this low rating depending on how long this takes. I have been told it will take "some time" with no specific date I can expect a replacement.

Need info on getting an extra battery, and the left-hand parking lock does not work. Otherwise, I am VERY pleased with the performance and ride.
