Decent battery pack for emergencies
This battery I think is great to have if you are constantly hiking or out and about however you will need to purchase a cable if you want to have it strapped. It does have loop for it. I will say this do NOT just leave this in the sun say in your car or by a window. Regardless if the solar charging, it is still a battery and you may not want the battery to get super hot or it can cause damage. The solar part it does charge but I cannot expect it to charge to full. It is definitely great to have if you are hiking and just need a little extra power. There is a solar light indicator as shown on the picture that is a green light. It is a bit water resistant but it is definitely not something you want to drop into the water. It does have a micro usb plug that you can use to charge the device. The USB ports as well as the wireless does not support fast charging. The wireless charging from what I can tell works with most cases which is good and the USB ports are covered by a silicone cover if you happen to be walking through the rain. Again it is water resistant but not water proof. There is a nice hook you can use to hook to your backpack or belt so it may be in direct sunlight and get charging. Be aware that any light will cause the charging light to turn on. The hook does come with a compass which can easily be screwed up by any magnet so use with caution. The wireless charging pad does have rubber stoppers to keep the device from sliding off of it. The overall charge time will vary based on whether you are using your phone or the number of devices. It can charge up to three devices (one needing to be via wireless). I would say on average it can charge most phone within three hours with no use. The sides I feel are solidly built but not extremely protective so if you happen to drop it from a small distant the battery shell might get damaged. The battery does get warm when it is in use so make sure you take precautions if you are using this in your pocket. The cable that comes with the battery is fairly long but a bit cheap for my liking but I just use my own. Overall I think this device is a great thing to have if you are on the go a lot. It is a solid build and pretty good amount of battery to keep your devices charged.

Awesome light weight battery pack, perfect for hiking
First of all, given the battery capacity, this is an incredibly light battery pack. It is rugged, well built and charges fairly quickly via the solar cells. I got this to charge my iPhone while I am backpacking because I use the phone for trail maps. I haven’t had a chance to test things out, but the size and weight are perfect for strapping it to the top of my Osprey pack’s brain and leaving it there throughout the day hike. I think that would be much more effective than trying to use the clip and letting it hang off the pack vertically. From my initial tests, in good sunlight for most the of the day, I would expect to get about 15% of the battery pack recharged daily. In other words about 1500 mAh per day. In reality, it will probably be closer to maxing out at 1250 mAh per day, given shade conditions. In stronger sunlight (less shade) or longer exposure, you may actually get a little more of the battery recharged.Still, given that my phone has a battery size in the 3000-3500 mAh range, I can basically charge my phone 50% of its capacity every day. That’s pretty good, especially since I won’t be draining the phone’s battery down to 0% every day. Just start out with a fully charged battery in the first place and things will definitely work out for a 4-5 day trip. If you want a bit more security, maybe get two packs. For the light weight, two of these packs will weigh less than the majority of the 20K batteries out there.I look forward to getting on the trails and seeing how it works out!

Failed within a day into my do day adventure motorcycle ride
I decided to by a solar charger for my adventure motorcycle tour, as I would not have access to electric for phone charing for most of my trip. I tried it several times before my trip and seemed to work fine. But on the second day of my trip, the solar charge indicated it was charging but at the end of the day, was not charged at all. In fact, the start of the day showed that is was charged to 3/4 capacity (3 of four blue LEDs) and the end of the day showed no charge (zero blue LEDs). The charger was strapped to the top of my tank bag in full view of the sun for the entire clear cloudless day. It indicated that it was charging (a green LED illuminated). So I had lost the ability to charge my phone for 4 days until I was able to get access to electricity. I just finished my motorcycle tour and logged into Amazon to file for a return, but found out it is too late. Not sure if this is common failure, but I was very disappointed that it failed and something I was depending on. I stopped an bought a non-solar ion battery back that I charged and it worked fine, took care of my needs for the remaining 15 days.Seemed like a good idea, but I was not impressed with the reliability. Plus I found out, it only had a couple weeks from time of purchase to return so I am stuck with a non-charging solar battery pack.Update: The sellers of this product contacted me in response to my review and offered me a refund. They explained the slower charging time when relying on solar; however, I do not believe this to be the issue. I picked this device because of its higher rating and assumed I just happened to receive a defective unit which seems to be abnormal by the general repose from other. I applaud the BEARTWO for standing behind thier product even though it is several weeks out of thier normal return policy.
