Works very very well and easy to install. A nice surprise bonus was that the Govee thermo-hygrometers I already have work better now because their connection to the included gateway is much stronger than Bluetooth-ing them to my phone. The gateway only supports leak sensors, thermo-hygrometers, and temp sensors by Govee - these devices connect to the gateway by Bluetooth and then the gateway serves them to your Wifi network. WiFi Govee products like smart bulbs don't work with the gateway because they directly connect to the Wifi network. Great price, easy setup, and peace of mind. If you're placing one of these to monitor a utility sink that overflows from washing machine discharge, place it under the edge of the utility sink rather than under the p-trap. For all other sinks put it right under the p-trap.

We installed this GoveeLife Smart Water Leak Detector system in an our basement and it has been a great investment. Setup was very easy with the app, and the sensors connected quickly to the hub. I like that the alarm is loud enough to hear immediately, and the app notifications come through right away. They worked for my home insurance as proof for a water backup alarm. The sensors are compact, easy to place, and the long battery life is a big plus. Overall, this system adds a lot of peace of mind knowing we’ll get alerted quickly if there’s ever a leak. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an affordable smart leak detection setup.

Really hard to believe that this exists and is so effective. It saved us thousands of dollars in water damage due to a new faucet that failed just after installation. We were sitting in the living room when a very loud alarm went off. Thought it was the house security alarm. Then immediately afterward the text alert came in. Easy to install. Great price. And hopefully, we will never have to hear that alarm again.

I have a 72 year old house in the county. Last year, for the first time, the basement flooded. I mean FLOODED. Up to six inches and three pumps taking a long time to pump it. I spent six months pumping twice a day until fall when it stopped. Last month, it started flooding again. Not as bad as last year, yet. 2 pumps 10-15 minutes to pump twice a day. I am no longer spry. I cannot install a sump pump pocket because that would require cutting into the basement floor and most likely more flooding. I decided to try to automate the pumping process so I don’t have to hobble up and down the steps several times a day. I got two Govee plugs. I plugged my water bug pumps into those and set those up. I wanted to automate further. I ordered this kit and found I could get the plugs activated by the sensors. I completed the programming. Everything was easy to do. The only complaint is I know my basement is flooding. I don’t need the alarms. I turned off the alarms in the basement on the sensors. But I cannot turn off the alarm on the flood alarm itself that plugs into the wall. I don’t need that alarm every 20 minutes. That is how often the sensors activate the pumps to keep the water level down. If anyone can tell me how to shut off the alarm that plugs into the wall, I would be grateful and this would get five stars. Well worth the money very useful for me and an easy system to program.

They work! Avoided major basement flood when the hot water heater started leaking. Notified me on my smart phone. When I entered the house , the audio alarm from the device was unavoidable

We bought this Smart Water Leak Detector to replace one that was not working. The GoveeLife was easy to set up on my iPhone (and I'm not the best person following directions). We bought the kit with 5 detectors to put under each sink. I tested one by placing it in a small amount of water and it was very sensitive and emitted an ear piecing sound that could easily be heard in any room. the detectors are small enough to easily fit under a sink or small space. I have one right next to a hot water heater under my kitchen sink (the heater leaked a few years ago and it was a terrible mess). I think this water leak detector will meet our needs and give some peace of mind as far as water leaks. And the price was very reasonable so good value.

Love it. Even though my alarm is in the floor of my basement and my wifi router is on the main floor, the alarm connects reliably to my wifi. The remote alarm ensures I am made aware of rising water in my sump well, even during the middle of the night while sleeping on the opposite end of the house. Alarm volume is adjustable. This alarm will also send me text and emails when the alarm is activated. Great piece of mind anytime, but especially when traveling.

These leak sensors work very well. I ordered 2 3-packs and installed them in the following locations: furnace/water-heater room, laundry room, under the dishwasher, in the kitchen sink cabinet, and one inside each of our two downstairs showers, since our sewer lateral collapsed recently and backed up into the showers first. Unfortunately, it was days before I noticed the backup because I didn’t have leak detectors. We’ve since replaced the sewer lateral (expensive!) and and installed these detectors for peace of mind. Setup was relatively straightforward. Activating the Alexa skill wasn’t too difficult. Getting the detectors to operate as I wanted took a little thinking, but was relatively easy to figure out. I installed them almost a month ago and today one of them went off and alerted the way I expected based on my configuration. Both the sensor and hub started “screaming” - these things are loud! I received a text message alert, an email alert, and an app notification. In addition, Alexa announced the leak (using Alexa’s Announce feature) throughout the house, telling me exactly at which location the leak was detected. This happened all at once, so it is a bit jarring. But it should be to stimulate you into quick action. In the Alexa app, using the routines feature, you tell Alexa exactly what to announce (or do) for each sensor. For example, when triggered, my laundry sensor causes Alexa to announce “Warning, warning! A leak has been detected in the laundry room. Go to the laundry room at once!!!” That is 6 different notifications (2 alarm locations; text, email, and app notifications; and an Alexa announcement) Get these if you want peace of mind against leaks and water damage. BTW, today’s laundry leak resulted from a bucket of water with bleach that my wife set in the laundry to soak a shirt. The bucket had a small split, leaked, and wet the sensor, triggering it.

Installed them in Nov 2025 and haven’t had any issues with them. No false alarms and easy to install. App is user friendly and easy to navigate. The Insurance company approved it as a flood monitoring app. Battery still working. Small pods so you can hide them behind toilets or under furniture.

These seem to work pretty well! I already had the Govee Home app, when I plugged the hub in it was instantly there to add. Fill in wifi details and done. Turning on each of the sensor units and they instantly popped up ready to go into that hub in the app. I tested each of them by dipping them in a shallow bit of water, they all alarmed audibly and notified in the app - I had set it to be a “critical alert” so it will sound and show on my (iOS) lock screen even during do not disturb times, that worked perfectly and was easy to do. It can also email an alert, which also worked perfectly! So easy to get from unboxing to done, and now I hope to never hear from them again - until their battery is low at least. Which the app will alert me about in five years - slick!

Setup was quick, and it connected easily to WiFi without any hassle. I really like the long-range coverage, which lets me place sensors in different areas like the basement and under sinks while still staying reliably connected. The alerts are fast and give real peace of mind in case of any leaks.

Great product- very easy to set up, did a test and works well. Can only give 4 stars at this point since I only recently bought it and time will tell how it performs/lasts.... otherwise would give 5.

Life changer!!! Our daughter who showers and somehow gets water outside the shower curtains onto the tile floor and than that drips down to our living room ceiling and we have water damage stains lead me into looking into these devices. BEST THING EVER as once the alarm goes off we can fly up and bust into the bathroom to stop the over flow of water. She to can hear the alarm as it’s very loud which is a good thing. Pets don’t like it much but oh well, less damage on my ceiling. Placed a few around the house. Is know they work wonders. Nice they can use replacements batteries as well. Wish it was HomeKit compatible but still works great.
