Toland Home Garden 109553 Blissful Birches Fall Flag 28x40 Inch Double Sided Fall Garden Flag for Outdoor House Flag Yard Decoration

I have purchased eight flags via Amazon that were manufactured by Toland. Three of them—‘Patchwork Snowman’, ‘Cat Caroling’ and ‘Curious Kitty’— are of the garden-sized variety (12.5” x 18”) and are beautifully rendered; what you see onscreen is what you get. The downside is that the flags are one ply and the material, while of fine quality, is quite lightweight. Consequently, you need clips on the vertical pole of the stand to attach to the long side of the flag if in a windy location or the flag will likely end up partially flipped over or wadded up on the top pole of the stand. (Note: If it is quite windy, those clips won’t hold or if they do, the flag can bunch up on the long pole.)As for the other five, they are the house flags (28” x 40”). The good news is that the material has more heft; so even though the flag is still one ply, it can handle most breezy conditions. The renderings, however, are not as reliable. For all five, the scenes lack the sharpness of the smaller flags. They look somewhat like a photo that has been enlarged to the point that the scene becomes somewhat out of focus. For three of those flags— ‘The Moonlight Owl’, ‘The Orchestra’ and ‘Blissful Birches’— that slight blurriness works fine: the artistic scenes work well with the additional abstraction. Plus, the colors are as vivid as onscreen.That is not the case for ‘Spring Blossoms’ and ‘Lhara-Orange & Violet.’ The colors are washed out in ‘Spring Blossoms’ flag; thus, when that is combined with the fuzzy edges, the flag from afar looks mostly light green (the color of the background) with some faint flowers and none of the design details. But even worse is ‘Lhara-Orange & Violet’ for two reasons. The first problem is that most of the shade variations in the flowers and the crisp petal edges evident on-screen aren’t there...which means the flowers are robbed of their vibrancy. Then there’s the issue of the colors overall being darker than onscreen. The purple flower, in particular, is quite dark and almost becomes indistinguishable from the dark green background since there are few shade variations (as noted before) in either color.Overall, I recommend the smaller garden flags without reservation if you don’t have to contend with much wind or if you have a set of clips on the vertical support of your flag stand. I also recommend the house flag size if the scene won’t suffer from a sharp lack of focus (like the first three I mentioned) or if you don’t mind exercising Amazon’s generous return policy if the colors vary significantly from what you see in the product shot (like the last two I mentioned).

I purchased this flag in 2017. It's now Sept.2022 and I just hung it up again to celebrate Fall. Still looks like it did back 5 yrs ago!!! Bonus points for their prices are still very reasonable!!

Toland flags are well-made and don’t fade, and they have the most beautiful designs. This is my third one. I am slowly replacing all of my seasonal flags with their flags.

Vibrant and durable in wind and rain however the scene is a little too compact for good distinction of the trees. From any distance, even the sidewalk, it looks somewhat blurred. This will not prevent me from using as the colors are great regardless of the clarity of the image

This flag is beautiful. I had a "strange" use for it. The doors in my house have rather large windows that anyone coming to the porch can see directly into my kitchen and living room. I did not want to put holes in the doors to hang curtains. So discovered magnetic curtain/drape rods. Then could not find fabric that I liked that would work with the rooms Until I discovered that decorative house flags were the perfect size and in beautiful colors an designs. Voila - purchased and hung them. They actually look like a beautiful picture framed by the door itself. An interesting look AND no one can see in the house when they come on the porch. This particular flag picks up the colors from the walls and furniture. I used this in my home in Florida where the name of the day is "easy and fun". Just passing thoughts, hope it helps,.

We love the bright fall colors. We hung the flag in our pool area and the blue in the flag compliments the pool. Thin material because I prefer the heaver layered flags, but colorful and I would order it again.

This flag is bright and pretty, but very, very thin....the fabric is not much heavier than that of a ladies' fashion scarf. If I roll it up, I can hide the entire flag in my fist. Lightest weight garden flag I have ever purchased, and I have my doubts about whether it will survive outdoors. I do like it and the price is right, but I expect I will need to replace it fairly soon.

Very nice. Initially I was slightly disappointed as the trees on the flag do not appear to be as well defined as in the photo. The flag is very lightweight. I am waiting for autumn to arrive and will hang this flag. I think I will like it a lot; it is very attractive, with vibrant colors.

I have started collecting house flags to change seasonally. I hang from the awning on my front porch. Toland makes some of the most beautiful works of art in a flag. This one, Blissful Birches is by far one of my favorites. The colors are so bright and beautiful and it looks exactly like the pictures. It is just perfect to brighten up the outside of my home once the flowers of summer have faded and gone. It arrived in perfect condition, although they come folded, I just take an iron and place a sheet over the flag between the flag and the iron and give the creases a quick ironing out. The flag has been flapping violently in the ferocious winds we have had lately and is still in perfect condition. I really love it and would highly recommend it to anyone. I'll be buying more flags for my collection soon.

This is my third Toland flag and, despite the cost, it's another winner. Since I can't locate my winter flag yet, this remains up and has looked gorgeous as well as worn well. Highly recommend.
