Kept her quiet
My 4yr old loved them. There's no static with loud bass so they are good quality. Movies and music sound stable at max vol and they are smple for kids/adults too. The parental controls are a bonus tho. Imagine growing up in the 90's with parental controls on your walk-man. Crazy right.

I ordered this for my daughter in 2024 and it is still serving its purpose. Very durable and good quality. Worth the price. #ad#

Great headphones for kids
The sound quality is good, it fits comfortably and connected quite easily. I'm not too sure of the battery life as yet but its a good product so far.

Very strange software indeed but hardware is fine
First I had a BT connection problem where my device would see them and try to connect but was returning the message that headphones are refusing connection. After a few times turning things on/off it did connect both to the Android phone and the iPad. Then all these very strange software related things started happening: In default setting with the EQ off, the headphones are quiet and extremely anemic sounding, pretty much useless. That was largely solved by installing the Phillips headphone app and turning the EQ on. Then, presets are completely useless, they make the headphones sound their worst. I really never ever heard the EQ presets make headphones sound a lot quieter and a lot worse. Like, with the EQ on and left flat they sound fine, switch to the "powerful" preset and the the volume goes down and they sound anemic again. Complete opposite from the preset name. Every other preset sounds a lot worse than flat EQ. Keep it flat and you can then boost your preferred frequencies from there and bring some more life to them and they'll be fine. So that got solved as well. Then another software issue happened that made me speak some choice words inside myself because my daughter was waiting for me to be done so she can use her new headphones. They kept announcing "playtime limit" every few seconds. I didn't know if this is coming from headphones limiter or the iPad screen time limit feature. So then I made sure the headphones app allowed all the time in the iPad. Prompt was still there. Then I went into the headphones app and set the playtime limit to "never". The prompt was still there. Then I disconnected the BT and deleted the device from the iPad. The prompt was still there, announcing every few seconds. Yeah, headache inducing. Then I reconnected everything and set the playtime limit in the app to 4 hours and they were finally happy and the prompt disappeared. I also hit "clear headphones data" in the settings just for good measure even though it didn't seem to change any of the current settings. So hopefully that got solved too. Lastly, and this one I couldn't figure out, raising and lowering the volume is acting against the logic. Raising the volume starts as expected but as the slider is reaching all the way up it gets significantly quieter. Same with lowering the volume from here. As you start, the volume will first get louder but then quiet down as you reach lower levels. I imagine they have some sort of automatic limiter separate then max volume settings. And I couldn't find anything to defeat that. Then, for example, you set the volume slider to 80% with volume limit set to no limit and then change that setting to 80% limit and the volume will actually get a little louder. But same will happen in reverse: move the volume slider a bit to change things up, then set the volume slider to around 80% up, and then within the app change the the volume limit setting from 80% to no limit and the volume will jump up a little. Makes no sense whatsoever. So I set it to 80%. Bottom line the volume midway will be loud enough (with all these other workarounds mentioned earlier in the review) for a child and the sound quality is just fine. They seem to be comfortable for our daughter as we had to return other on-ear headphones and even over the ear because they weren't comfortable for her more than 15-20 minutes. The quality is in line with everything else we bought for her except the Phillips is twice the price. But I picked up a returned ones for less than half regular price because I suspected they're pretty much brand new, only somebody didn't want to deal with all these quirks and investigate how to get around them. The headphones app says they have the latest firmware installed. If Phillips cares enough to have someone spend a few hours getting rid of these bugs, they'll be very good headphones.
