Just today I was in the local hydraulic shop and noticed the cap and plug kits for various hose and cylinder fittings running $200 to $280 a kit. Wow!! This kit did everything I need (prevent contamination of the oil) and keep the oil in. Certainly not as good as the metal threaded units, but good enough for Joe average DIY work

I bought this kit to cut down on spilled hydraulic fluid while resealing my cylinders on my John Deere Skid Steer. The different sizes of plugs worked great for my needs. I also bought a different kit which is colored light green and much longer than this kit to do the same job. I work on autos, Trucks and pretty much everything else that can break down or leak and these tools/Plugs will serve me well for my needs. I suggest you buy the kit as it can be used on Power steering lines, fuel lines, brake lines and more... Best of luck folks. Just my two cent opinion..

Most people purchase these to plug holes (especially threaded holes) before powder coating or even just for simple spray painting. I'm using these for doing casting with urethanes where I need to temporarily plug a hole and then later open it as a vent hole. They get slimed with half cured urethanes (both expanding and solid) all the time and clean up quite well and you can use them over and over again. There is a nice variety of sizes at a very reasonable price.

I initially bought these to help plug up chainsaw's + other small engines when the carb's are Off + they need a good spray wash + occasional painting, then i realized they would be PERFECT for Plugging up Pressure washer wand, handle + Tip's to keep the MUD Wasps out of !! + then One by one I've found even more uses !! AIR Tools "Quick-connect" plugs to keep bugs out of !! TOO many possible uses to list them all, JUST BUY A Set, or two !! you won't regret it.
