NEW YORK TIMES AND #1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER โข The award-winning authors and podcasters Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, and Amanda Doyle created We Can Do Hard Thingsโ the guidebook for being aliveโto help fellow travelers find their way through life. When you travel through a new country, you need a guidebook. When you travel through love, heartbreak, joy, parenting, friendship, uncertainty, aging, grief, new beginningsโlifeโyou need a guidebook, too. We Can Do Hard Things is the guidebook for being alive. Every day, Glennon Doyle spirals around the same questions: Why am I like this? How do I figure out what I want? How do I know what to do? Why canโt I be happy? Am I doing this right? The harder life gets, the less likely she is to remember the answers sheโs spent her life learning. She wonders: Iโm almost fifty years old. Iโve overcome a hell of a lot. Why do I wake up every day having forgotten everything I know? Glennonโs compasses are her sister, Amanda, and her wife, Abby. Recently, in the span of a single year, Glennon was diagnosed with anorexia, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer, and Abbyโs beloved brother died. For the first time, they were all lost at the same time. So they turned toward the only thing thatโs ever helped them find their way: deep, honest conversations with other brave, kind, wise people. They asked each other, their dearest friends, and 118 of the worldโs most brilliant wayfinders: As youโve traveled these roadsโmarriage, parenting, work, recovery, heartbreak, aging, new beginningsโhave you collected any wisdom that might help us find our way? As Glennon, Abby, and Amanda wrote down every life-saving answer, they discovered two things: 1. No matter what road we are walking down, someone else has traveled the same terrain. 2. The wisdom of our fellow travelers will light our way. They put all of that wisdom in one place: We Can Do Hard Thingsโ a place to turn when you feel clueless and alone, when you need clarity in the chaos, or when you want wise company on the path of life. We are all life travelers. We donโt have to travel alone. We Can Do Hard Things is our guidebook. This is a life changing book
Of all of the books I read this year (over 300) this book had the greatest impact on me. I initially listened to the audio edition of the book through my local library. Hearing Abby, Glennon and Amanda share their insights on life was so moving I knew I needed to get the print copy of the book. There is so much in this book I know I will go through it time and again. Identifying my attachment style was so freeing, as was identifying my family role. Now I understand much better why I am who I am. And that is just the first section. The entire book is very informative and enlightening. They draw from many others, honestly sharing their own experiences. I don't think I have ever heard people being so honest about who they are and why. This is a life changing book.

A Must-Read for Anyone on a Journey Toward Truth and Inner Strength!
We Can Do Hard Things: Answers to Lifeโs 20 Questions is like a lifeline tossed out in turbulent waters. Glennon Doyle doesnโt just write, she opens a door, pulls you through, and sits with you in the messy, beautiful corners of life. The structure is refreshingly honest, weaving soulful reflections with grounded, practical wisdom on questions we all ask: What if this is as good as it gets? How do I know Iโm living my truth? Each chapter is like therapy and coffee with a brutally honest friend, one who somehow always knows just what to say to make you laugh, cry, and keep going. This book doesnโt offer perfection, it offers liberation. If youโve felt overwhelmed, stuck, or just curious about how to navigate this strange thing called life with grace and grit, this book will feel like home.

A great how-to guide for life
This is a great book to have and to read when you need some inspiration. Definitely not a read cover-to-cover-in-one-sitting style book. I think itโd be a good gift for someone going through life changes or struggles as well.

Nothing new for me, but will use to help answer kids big life questions
I've listened to almost every podcast so there wasn't really anything new here for me. The quotes on the pages just aren't the same as listening to the live conversations. However, I will use this book as a guide for when my kids have big life questions and that's why I gave it 5 stars.

The Amazing Podcast but in Gorgeous Book Form
I am a huge pod squadder so I knew I would love this book no matter what. First of all, itโs gorgeous. Beautiful and simple illustrations, different fonts, quotes, dialogueโฆ I love the podcast so much and this book has some of the most memorable and thought provoking quotes from the podcast all in one place. Instead of looking back at past transcripts, I can look right here. One other reviewer said itโs not relatable to everyday humansโฆ I could not disagree more. I am an everyday human (mom, wife, teacher, neighbor, sister) and I find something relatable on every page and in every podcast episode. If you love their podcast, this book is well worth it. If youโve never listened to the podcast, you might like it.

Wisdom made accessible
If you're committed to your own personal growth, get the book. You can tell a lot of hard work went into this. I've been a listener of the podcast since the beginning and yes the content captured in the book is from their podcast which I'm so grateful for because unless you are taking notes from every episode, organizing them, and then categorizing, it's so easy to forget the all the nuggets of wisdom. This guidebook makes the content accessible and easy to reference when you need it. Thank you Glennon, Abby, and Amanda for the deep work you're doing so we can all benefit. Was so happy to purchase this book so I could give back a fraction of what I've gotten from your podcast. Thank you, truly. P.S. - Saw you three in Tysons over the weekend on your book tour. Was so sweet to watch Tish perform. What a beautiful soul - she is so lucky to have you three as family <3

Nice I guess
I'm kind of confused by this book. I guess we're supposed to use it as a quote glossary and flip to the relevant sections when we need. It's not something you can sit down and read, and I wish the authors had added some insights or through lines to make it more readable. It's like a tiktok version of a self help book.
