Love. Would repurchase.
Great stuff. As others have said, this are big and crunchy! Planters tends to be smaller and softer/waxier which isn't unwelcome but nothing beats a great crisp especially when mixing these with chips for a movie or something. To me it has the perfect amount of heat if you like heat. It builds as you keep eating them but it has a cap that isn't too extreme if you enjoy things that have a good kick but these may be okay for ppl who are neutral to heat if these are mixed with other snacks. Alone may be a little intense after 3 or 4.. I wouldn't recommend for spice wimps of course but hopefully a spice wimp wouldn't be under the impression that hot habanero peanuts were a good choice for them. These also have good complex flavor so it's not just one or two notes of hot and salty, there's a tiny bit of sweetness to it. Nothing crazy to me like others have mentioned them being honey roasted. Definitely not that sweet. Just complex like a spicy rub that has a tiny bit of brown sugar in it for depth. I really like that these brands very in flavor and are not just heat levels for the different kinds.

Deliciously hot
I love these peanuts! They are HOT, which is what I wanted. Be aware that these aren't just mildly spicy, they are HOT hot. First, though, you get the flavor. It's a good flavorful peanut, and hard to stop at just one or two. The initial taste is a mild, pleasant heat, but as you go on, or if you stop eating, the real heat sets in. Definitely a pleaser for those who enjoy spice, but also good quality peanuts with no bitter "duds" to be found. They are also a crowd pleaser, even for those who shy away from hot food, it's fun to ask them to try "just one!' Will buy again!

Not that Spicy.
Good flavor but if youโre someone who truly likes things spicy, these are not hot at all.

Fantastic
I had these for the first time from a "Peanut Shop of Williamsburg" retail location while on vacation in Tennessee. After returning home I was very happy to find these on Amazon and have gone through at least 20 cans. They are very hot for the average person and "nice" for someone used to spicy foods. The flavor is hard to describe, probably savory, a little salty with a hint of sweet and of course the heat. The peanuts themselves are large and have a good crunch. I would highly recommend them.

Mighty Surge of Flavor-- Not So Much Now...
I love these things. I'm serious. The peanuts are good, but it's the seasoning, the Habanero Heat, that makes them basically perfect. They're hot enough to seize your attention but stop short of the 'endurance test' level heat that turns a snack into more of a novelty than something you actually enjoy eating. The heat builds as you go, mingling wonderfully with the rich peanut oil. I have to make myself stop eating them. My local shop stopped carrying them. The fools. I'll buy from Amazon because I do not want to be without them. EDIT: As noticed by at least one other reviewer, the recipe has changed. The heat and flavor have been dramatically reduced from what I raved about in my review above. These peanuts are not bad now, but I am sorry to say that they are a shadow of the unique and delicious treat they used to be.

Very Good
My heat level - Sriracha on everything except breakfast where I prefer Cholula on my eggs. Thai chillies are about my max heat capability. Habaneros in my mexican food can be to hot to handle or right at my limit depending on their strength. I don't do ghost pepper or reapers or anything crazy like that. This spice in these peanuts are spicy but nowhere close to true habanero heat which is a good thing for me. I can eat them in bunches but need a bit of cold liquid every now and then. If you eat one peanut you might not even notice the heat but it builds as you eat them. They got delivered on Sunday about 12. It is Monday at 1 and I reordered them as my tin is empty.

Fresh and Good Flavor
I think these were really good, and I'm buying another couple of jars after wolfing them down in a few days. I'm a spicy food fanatic, and nothing is ever spicy enough for me, so I wont comment on that aspect-- everyone has a different perception of 'heat,' and I can always add some carolina reaper powder. But as is, there was enough of a kick to make me happy, and not be off-putting to those who are more sensitive. I really liked the flavor in general. I tried another brand, and those were so salty I couldn't eat them. I appreciated that these had a good balance of salt and it wasn't overwhelming. The peanuts themselves were really amazing. So large and crunchy and fresh and delicious. Big fan of these!

What part of "Hot Habanero Chile Pepper" do you not understand?
If you don't want HOT, don't order these nuts! Habanero peppers are among the hottest commercially harvested peppers. These peanuts are not "hot" in the sense of anything you might buy in a grocery store or order online (such as Virginia Diner brand "Cajun" "hot" peanuts, that barely wake up your tastebuds). These little guys are the real thing - HOT. Your tastebuds will stand at attention (or maybe fall over dead)! Beneath the heat, there is a distinctive (and yummy) habanero flavor - the reason these are my most favorite peppers (exceptional heat + exceptional flavor). I enjoyed a small handful of these nuts, and to cool off, I ate a large package of Skittles candy (hey, it's Halloween time). The candy didn't even knock a dent in the heat - I was still feeling it at the end of the Skittles bag. Now THAT'S what I call hot peanuts!!! These nuts are the real thing. Please don't buy them and then complain that they are too hot. They're HOT, OK? If you think that anything that you might get at Taco Bell is "hot" (including the so-called "Fire" sauce) then these nuts are not for you. Signed, - Bring on the Heat (and keep it comin') DavidFilmer (If you find my review helpful, please "like" it - thanks!)
