Took a little longer to arrive than the usual overnight delivery. I checked with the supplier and they were quick to respond with a reassuring message. The butt was delivered by a carrier carefully packed in a cardboard box and well wrapped, All on a pallet! In fact, it’s not that heavy and was easily moved once unpacked. We carefully rolled it into position. The butt has a very good wood effect and looked instantly at home in our garden. It’s in a prominent spot and we wanted something a little different from the traditional green or black plastic. It’s supplied with a good looking matching lid and a very classy brass tap (which was unexpected, but very nice quality). It doesn’t come with a down pipe diverter, you need to order this separately. We already had a spare one so that didn’t matter but it’s worth knowing that you need to order it as an extra.

Looks better than a standard black or green water butt, which is good as it’s very big! I was concerned it would take months to fill up but no, it filled within a day or two. I’ve got a gentle leak where the feed pipe is bolted in at the top but hoping a bit of plumbers’ tape will solve that to make it all perfect. The brass tap is good quality, far better than plastic taps on previous butts I’ve had. The tap isn’t leaking. My watering can just slides underneath the tap, no stand is needed.
