Brazilian Kiss Hydrating Lip Butter

I love Sol de Janeiro products so much; this is my first time buying the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Hydrating Lip Butter Balm, and I LOVE IT!! 💖 I really love how the tube of lip balm is larger than most lip balms I've tried, so it makes it easier to apply to my lips. Also, this lip balm seems a lot more luxe than most lip balms I've tried, and feels super smooth like butter (hence the name). My lips feel super moisturized and hydrated, while not feeling greasy or sticky. I love the scent and flavor of this lip balm as well; it really does smell like Caramelized Vanilla, and I really enjoy it a lot. I do notice that the scent of the lip balm is a little stronger (and maybe better) than the taste of this lip balm. Obviously, I'm not trying to eat lip balm over here, but it is something that I noticed. It is a pleasant, and gourmand type scent, which I love. I'm really glad I decided to purchase this Sol de Janeiro lip balm, and I've loved what it's done for my lips in just a short time. The moisture lasts for several hours, even when the balm doesn't "feel" like it's there (if that makes sense). I don't feel the need to keep re-applying, as one application can last for 4 or 5 hours (depending). This is a great lip balm to wear during the day, and I also apply it at night before bed. I think this is an excellent quality product by Sol de Janeiro. I usually don't spend a lot on lip balms; however, this one feels of better quality, plus it's larger, and takes just a little bit per application. I'm very satisfied with this product, and would consider buying it again. Very nice!

I got this Brazilian Kiss Hydrating Lip Butter Balm for my daughter recently as she’s obsessed with everything Sol de Janeiro and now I’m also planning to buy one for myself! The vanilla aroma is absolutely heavenly, its sweet, its warm its comforting and it's not at all overpowering. I like that it has a rich and buttery consistency, its almost like putting on a luxurious lip mask. My daughter loves the feel of her smoother lips plus the hydration that really lasts for a very long time. Some of the great elements about this balm- It's deeply moisturizing and a gorgeous vanilla scent. It feels premium & nourishing. I think it's even great for the overnight repair. One small thing I must mention is that although its quite rich, a little goes a long way. But if you are someone who prefers a super lightweight balm then may be this one isn't for you. Compared to the other balms that I've used like Summer Fridays, I feel this one feels far more buttery and also luxurious with a stronger (but still pleasant) aroma.

I suffer from extreme dry mouth. I have to keep my lips moisturized constantly. I’ve tried countless different chapsticks and most of them would keep my lips hydrated BUT I would still have extreme dryness in the corners of my mouth which would cause discomfort I couldn’t drink juices or eat fruit or anything spicy until I took the plunge. I’ve always used so de janerio since I got a sample item in my Ipsy bag. I’ve been usuing their stuff for years now the shampoo conditioner and leave in conditioner are also incredible products but This chapstick doesn’t just moisturize your lips IT HEALS THEM TOO ! In the last two years I’ve not had one leading brand chapstick actually heal my lips instead of just keeping them moist. Along with its durability it’s also long lasting I use it multiple times a day and it last me about 3 1/2 - 4 months. Which is incredible. It’s more than worth the 18$ I wish they made it in a bigger size. It’s smells so good it’s not greasy or tacky it’s super smooth lightweight. Hands down best stuff out here

I love this lip balm! I have some of sol de janeiro's other products, like perfumes and body butters, so when i saw they had a lip balm of course i wanted to try it. It smells like the 62 perfume to me, which is a caramel, vanilla, and pistachio type of scent. So it smells really good, and works good as well. It helps with dry or chapped lips to make your lips really soft. The only thing i would say is it is a little expensive for a lip balm, but in my opinion its worth it! I would recommend this.

Better Than the Prescription Lip Products I’ve Tried This is honestly one of the best lip balms I have ever used, and I do not say that lightly. I have tried everything from luxury lip masks to prescription compounded lip treatments, and somehow this little balm outperformed products that cost significantly more and were literally prescribed for me. The texture is incredibly smooth, hydrating, and comfortable without feeling sticky or waxy. It gives the lips a healthy soft look while actually helping dryness instead of just temporarily coating them. The vanilla scent is also beautiful without being overpowering or artificial. I especially love that it feels nourishing throughout the day and overnight. My lips stay softer much longer compared to most traditional balms, and I find myself reaching for this constantly now. Like most Sol de Janeiro products, the packaging is cute, summery, and feels elevated while still being fun. I love this stuff every time I use it. It always gets the dead skin off. It makes my lips peel. It smells good. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it.

Three stars is because it’s basically just Chapstick, nothing special other than it smell smells good. Way overpriced in my opinion at $18 but lucky enough I hadn’t used it yet and it went on sale on prime day for $10 so I was able to purchase that one and return the other one but even still $10 is pricey. I’ve definitely had smoother lip balm and I don’t feel like this offers any aid to chapped lips I think it’s just to keep your lips moistened. I will say you do get a lot of product though. Probably the equivalent of three regular chopsticks and most likely it will go bad before I’m able to use it all. I don’t know how long it last but most the bombs are good for 12 months after opening but you’d have to check the manufacturer for this one because I did not.

4 stars strictly because it smells amazing!! It smells like a pistachio pastry. I apply it just so I can smell it! The formula is just okay. It is a nice, solid oil texture and is pretty much just an occlusive. It reminds me of old-school lip balms with a wax-based formula. it doesnt actually do much to add moisture to the lips. It sort of just keeps pre-existing moisture in. So if you have dry lips like me, its not super helpful since I need a lip balm that is both occlusive and moisturizing. But It is light on the lips, not shiny, and is pretty big, so it will last a while. For $18, im not sure its worth it, I love the smell, but I dont know that I love the formula enough to repurchase. The laneige glowy lip balm is $19 and is so much better. But this one is a good option for people who want a lip balm with no shine and no tint and dont need a super moisturizing balm.

I've had severe chapped lips my entire life (I'm almost 40). I tried so many different things and they'll work for up to a week at most and then it's like my skin becomes immune to them and things go back to normal 🤷🏻‍♀️ I've been using this practically daily for about 6 months and it still works. Helps my skin become soft and supple pretty quickly after application, and sometimes I don't need it for a day or 2 because my skin is still healthy and not chapped. Honestly brilliant stuff and smells divine too, though it does make me hungry a lot 🤣

The must buttery and moisturising lip balm I have brought in a while. Leaves my lips soft, I love the scent of this brand. It is on the pricer side but definitely worth it!
