I was doubtful. My daughters are of Eastern European descent, and have a skin tone I refer to as "neon white." Despite our best efforts, we each get a couple of sunburns each summer. I thought the best option for us was spray sunscreen, for ease and speed of use. However, now that I've found this device, I have changed my ways. I use the good sunscreen (but it's cheaper in liquid form), and these work like giant crayons. You just color yourself all over. No puddles of gloopy sunscreen all over clothes and towels. No sunscreen spray on your sunglasses. Just full coverage sunscreen, no mess. After we tried one, I went back that same week and ordered three more, so everyone in my family can have their own. Amazing product!

I had the impression it came with the sunscreen already but that’s good it doesn’t because I use sun block everyday. Living in Florida, this is the best thing ever to leave at your car and apply whenever you leaving the house. Easy to apply and it doesn’t seem to clog up. Very good product I recommend it!

I absolutely love this! Perfect for people who hate the feel of lotion or sunscreen. I love that I can still put sunscreen on my kids without getting the greasy lotion feeling on my hands. I hate spray sunscreen because I feel it doesn’t work as well and this lets me use lotion sunscreen so I feel they are well protected.

This was a game changer during a three day Disney trip with a two year old. Make it super easy to reapply in lines.I did accidentally drop it on day two and the handle part that holds all the sunscreen cracked which went everywhere, but it was still great. If I'd had some ducktape on hand I would have tried to patch it up so I could keep using it. Now that it's getting hot and we'll be doing some beach trips, I'll certainly be buying another.

I got this because I don't like the feeling of sunscreen on my hands, and the description and reviews promised that the applicator would help with that. I guess it does help somewhat - I can do the bulk of application with the applicator, but I still have to even it out/rub it in with my hands. Also, my toddler really enjoys using it, so it made our morning routine a little smoother.I think that this product could be more bearable with some design changes.First, the bottom is flat, but the top is not - that means that when you open the top to put more sunscreen in, you can't put it down, you have to hold it.Second, the section where you write your name is smooth plastic like the rest. I tried writing with Sharpie on it and it came off after a couple of times using sunscreen-covered hands to close the applicator. Make that part more textured or include a sticker we can put over our writing so it doesn't wipe off.Third, the sunscreen gets trapped into crevices inside the applicator and doesn't flow into the rolling ball part anymore, making it so you have to refill the sunscreen when there is still a significant amount left in the applicator. I have been opening the storage area to use the sunscreen with my hands for two months now and I still haven't used up all the sunscreen inside (I have been trying to use it all up so I can clean it out properly). If there were sloped edges inside that guide the sunscreen to the ball portion, that would help with that.Fourth, someone who doesn't use this often (for example, my daughter's grandma) can't remember which part to open for the sponge applicator and which part to open to refill for sunscreen, so multiple times, this has resulted in the top part being opened and the sunscreen spilling out all over our hands and the bottle. Having some labels printed on the bottle would help with that.Overall, this is kind of pricy for a medium-quality product that doesn't improve my life that much.

This is one of the most clever inventions ever. I’m able to apply sunscreen without using too much, and I can do it easily, even with squirmy kids who hate sunscreen. So wonderful!!

this is a must with kids, especially if you or your kids have sensory issues
