Absolutely! You can disable the Night Vision (IR LED) feature in the Tapo app. Simply select the camera, then tap on the word "Auto" (top-right, next to the gear-shaped icon), and select "Day Mode" to disable the IR LEDs. Please be advised that the monitored location should be adequately illuminated at night if you want the camera to reliably pick up details and monitor the location.

Incredible cam at a reasonable price

This small camera has an amazing picture. Small enough to hide in an inconspicuous place, and set-up is a breeze. I bought this because I've used TP Link/Tapo products for years and never had any issues with connection or failure. The subscription to real time alerts is nominal when you consider most security systems with monitoring are quite expensive. If you're not into real time alerts, you can still use the sd card system to record events. Do not hesitate to buy!
