If your in the UK then stay away
I have tried to get support for this product and they say it’s from USA and there for your not covered. The product was sent out with a 110 PSU and so won’t work in UK. If you want to send back you lose the following .. Shipping cost and the tax to bring this product over to uk which was over £400 … this should be removed from amazon in UK or restrictions should be clearly shown … Ecovac have a lot to answer for…£1800 dead

I love my new robomower!
I love my new robomower! It took a couple of tries over a couple of days to get things just right-- finding a good home for the mower and base, moving the satellite receiver so I get excellent reception everywhere, outlining and re-outlining the areas I want mowed with every change, learning to control the mower manually, learning to use the app-- but it was worth it! Now I have it mow all three yards (front, back, side) every 2-3 days which allows me to use the time I used to spend mowing doing other yard work and outdoor projects that I've been neglecting because I was too worn out from mowing in this Texas heat and humidity to do them. My yard in just over 1600 SF all together and the mower can do all of it on one charge in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Sometimes when I ran the mower extra and the battery did run low, the mower returned to its base, charged itself, and then went back out and completed the job. I really like the map in the app which shows you where the mower is, what has been mowed (both in area and percentage), and how much battery is remaining. The mower will send a message if it gets stuck but it's pretty good at getting itself unstuck too if you just leave it be. For sticking issues, the mower can dig a bit of a hole in the grass but as I've used it over these couple of weeks, the problem areas it ran in to are either now "no go" zones that I've added to the map or else the problem resolved itself organically. For example, initially the mower got hung up on some (surprisingly strong) long tendrils of St Augustine grass I had grown in some problematic areas of the yard where a shade tree had been removed and new grass was beginning to grow in to some previous grass-free areas. But after having the area mowed a couple of times the grass tendrils are broken up and now are tamed enough that the mower no longer gets stuck there. Where there was a large tree root or a flower bed without a clear border that the mower could detect, I just "no go" zoned those spots. I bought a different pole to mount the satellite receiver so that it is 12 feet high instead of the 5-ish feet that comes with the mower. This was needed because of the size and placement of my grassy areas, the heavy tree cover, and the closeness of my neighbors houses did not always provide excellent communication between the receiver and the mower. There are lots of inexpensive ways to improve the reception of the receiver such as using a cement or water or sand filled umbrella holder for a base and mounting the receiver to a wooden closet rod, or buying a portable flag pole such as those used by RV travelers, or even strapping the receiver to the side of a chimney. The mower base likes to be out in the open for best reception. I suppose you could keep it in the garage but I think you probably would have to open the garage door and move the mower/base outside to put it on auto-pilot-- not 100% sure about that-- which sort of defeats the automatic and programming features available on the unit. The mower didn't like being parked under an eve of the house due to satellite reception (pre new pole. Maybe it would work now with the improved receiver location). I didn't want the mower and base on the grass itself since we have short but heavy rains here and I didn't want it to drown. Plus keeping it on the grass would kill the grass under the charging base which building a stepping stone pad to move it an inch or two higher would not prevent. So I build it a home on the deck and then built a small ramp for it to get up and down off the deck. It does not need or want a lot of ramp (I think my ramp is about 6-8 inches long) since it begins to turn shortly after leaving the base and it handles the incline just fine. I do worry a little about theft. Someone could certainly just pick it up and throw it in a truck if they saw it unwatched in the front yard but it would be useless to them. The mower won't work at all without the base and receiver but how would they know that? The mower does have a recorded message if picked up. It also requires a passcode needed to restart it once picked up but again, how would a thief know that? Once it was all set up and the various issues were resolved, I have no complaints at all about this mower! It is a smart machine that does a fine job of mowing. It can manage a few small sticks and leaves just fine. Of course, pick up any large sticks. I also want to build a "garage" or small cover over it jut it give it a little shade since it is sooo hot down here but I think I might just buy a small patio table instead so I can have a double duty item on the deck- a table and a garage for the mower. The upshot is I love this mower. It's made my life a lot easier. It's quiet, cuts well, has has a lot of nice features.

Really nice robot lawnmower!
I am so delighted we went with the Ecovacs Goat. Some pertinent background; we live in Florida and let me tell you with our daily summer rainstorms our grass needs to be cut every 5 days or so. We only have grass in the front and on the sides of the house. The grass covers just under 1/4 acre. Set up out of the box was intuitive and pretty easy, in my opinion. I should note I do not consider myself exceptionally tech savvy either. I was able to sync with my home WiFi in under a minute. The unit updated for about 10 minutes and then it was time to sync with the satellites. The process was simple, the first time it only synced with 19 satellites but it was super easy to restart the process. The second time around I made sure I was more than 2 feet away. Worked like a charm! Once I had the unit synced with satellites. It was time to map our property. I found the process rather intuitive and honestly quite quick for what was taking place. After mapping was complete I let the robot charge to full and decided to run it for a cut. The robot did a beautiful job. Our lawn looked as good as if we had used the push mower ourselves. I really like that this ecovacs model doesn’t have a perimeter wire. I can’t imagine how time and energy intensive installing a perimeter wire might be. The real time GPS navigation is working flawlessly for us. Another cool feature is the LiDAR to detect obstacles and the subsequently avoid the obstacles. Our oldest son had left a hose out during a mow that we missed. The ecovacs robot avoided the hose thus saving us an expense replacing it. The ecovacs robot is surprisingly quiet, magnitudes upon magnitudes quieter than our push mower. It also has a zero cutting edge which actually works, we definitely will not have to edge every time we mow with how good this robot mows edges. The app is amazing and so easy to use. I can customize zones and schedule mowings all from the comfort of my house when I have a spare minute. Battery life was more than enough to finish mowing our whole lawn in one charge. Overall I am beyond delighted with the performance of this robot mower for all the reasons mentioned. I really did not find anything worthy of a complaint.

Dont buy this mower read reviews before buying
Read bottom new update.. I had initially considered rating this product 3.5 stars. The setup process in May was straightforward, though the mapping proved to be quite challenging. It required some effort to achieve proper cutting, but after approximately three months, its performance was exceptional. Subsequently, it began to exhibit issues, frequently displaying error messages such as "needs help" or "can't find its way back to charging station." It would often cease operation mid-task and remain stationary until its battery depleted. Despite indicating it was at the charging station, it would be found elsewhere, inactive. The recurring request for a PIN is also something I would prefer to disable. For two months, I experienced persistent problems until I uninstalled and reinstalled the application two weeks ago. Following this, it resumed normal operation, no longer stopping during tasks. It seemed there was a communication breakdown between the application and the robot. However, upon restarting, it would halt in the middle of the yard every five minutes, necessitating constant supervision. Fortunately, it is now functioning correctly again. New update this mower is completely junk hasn't been a year this thing will not complete the task now stops dead in middle of its task the app glitches back and forth mowing complete then mowing 4% complete and it say mower back at station i even try relocate the station remade map 5 times its nothing but pain dont buy this mower it keeps asking for pin i wish they had a away turn off the pin waste of money.. all yea did a 360 at its station for 2 minutes funny part u find 0 videos of people complaining its all but good reviews its like they get paid make reviews..

Great customer service and the latest model work great
November 2025 update: After communicating with customer support back and forth for weeks, I'm pretty sure the root cause is due to the RTK receiver not getting stable and solid signals. With 2-year product warranty, they shipped a brand-new replacement to me very quickly. They went above and beyond. I received a latest version of the mower. The new one is a game changer. With the dual lidar system, the mower is working great so far. But the drawback is that I can no longer see the satellite signal strength from the app, which I do not think is a good idea. Anyway, I'm impressed with their customer service, and I think the latest model is great if you have lots of trees around your lawn. ---------------------------- This robot mower stopped functioning correctly after just two months. The main issues are critical system failures that persist despite repeated attempts to fix them (I remapped the yard more than twice): • Navigation Failure: It constantly goes off the map and struggles to "scroll out" of the edge boundaries, often freezing mid-mow. • Connectivity: The unit consistently reports a poor signal from the receiver, which seems to cause the mapping errors. • Customer Support: Trying to resolve these issues was difficult due to slow customer service. Responses took at least one day per inquiry, making troubleshooting a painful process. Overall, this has been an extremely bad experience with a costly product.

It mows the grass so I don't have too :)
Baaaaa goes the goat. Well, not this goat, it cuts grass so quietly It's 91 degrees outside today. I was at the store (in the AC) getting groceries this morning, and my new mower was cutting the back lawn. In my book, that's a win. I have used a couple of different brands of robot mowers. This one isn't perfect, but it's the best I've tried so far, so it's getting a good rating from me. Updates: Since I've been using this mower, it's already received two firmware updates. This is a good sign. Hopefully, Ecovacs will continue to update and improve it. Weight: It only weighs a few pounds. I don't have a fenced-in backyard, so sometimes after fully charging, I'll power it off and store it in the garage for security until the next mow. Software: The app is excellent and very easy to use. It offers multiple settings, such as mowing direction. This setting allows you to make your mower mow your yard straight, not at an odd angle. Quality: It seems well built. I haven't conducted any tests, but it has withstood heavy rain without any issues. It looks very easy to change the blades, but I haven't needed to do so yet. Mowing: I always try to research a product by reading reviews before purchasing, and the biggest problem I read about was it leaving mohawks/uncut strips of grass. Most people can resolve this issue by cutting their grass more frequently. Robot mowers are more like robot maintainers; they don't cut long grass, so you must mow each area every few days to keep your grass at the desired height. Two settings help with this, but do not entirely solve the issue. In Settings > Robot Settings, turn off AI Recognition. In Settings > Mowing Settings, you have Auto and Area mowing modes. In both mowing modes, set Avoidance Mode to High Grass Environment. I did not think I had a high grass environment, but due to the potholes/dips in the grass where my ground isn't level, it is a high grass environment. I think this is because the camera is angled downward while the vehicle drives down a dip. When it reaches the end of the dip, the grass appears higher than it is, because the camera is viewing the grass on an incline. I will reach out to Ecovacs and see if they can provide an avoidance mode higher than 10", or a setting that forces the mower to attempt to mow grass higher than 7.9". That would fix most of the issues people are experiencing. A setting this high may miss small toys, sticks, etc, but I keep my lawn clear so that won't bother me. Summary: It's well-designed, and as long as Ecovacs continues to support and update it, I see it becoming very popular. I have had neighbors stop and take videos haha :)
