Is it normal for the pink pill to have white spots and smell more pungent than usual?

Accepted Answer

Although this tablet spotting is not common, we have seen it happen before, and we have investigated it. The spots are an interaction between certain nutrients in the product, when exposed to moisture. We do not use excessive coatings or artificial dyes, so at times the nutrients can show through, especially if the tablet has been exposed to air or moisture. It is not harmful to consume these tablets, but we are glad to replace the blistercards for you. Any fish “burp” from these? Or is the pill coated to prevent that?

The pills smell like fish food to me and they do create a fishy burp. Small sacrifice for such a great product. Compared to other prenatals these have the highest I’m choline a much needed mineral for fetal brain development.

The pill that's normally pink came completely brown with spots (no pink color at all) this makes me uncomfortable. How can I speak with someone?

Statement from Theralogix: "We have changed the color of our tablets. They are now an auburn/yellowish natural color with dark speckles. These speckles darken over time due to the natural colorant (vegetable (beet) juice). Our tablets continue to be gluten-free, artificial dye-free and dairy-free."
