🌐 Power Up Your Network—Rain or Shine!
The Rainproof 4-Port Fast Ethernet PoE Switch is designed for robust performance with 4 PoE ports and 2 uplink ports, supporting 10/100Mbps speeds. It features an extended transmission distance of up to 250 meters, automatic power detection for device safety, and a durable, waterproof design suitable for outdoor installations.

Pleasantly surprised
This switch has been outdoors, in a tree for more than 2 years. It has worked in 100F as well as at 0F. Rain and snow. Non-stop. I honestly did not expect such a hiccup-free performance. It is 100Mb, so plan accordingly. The review indicating that you can only use one camera because of that is nonsense. Even a 4K camera uses less than 20Mb/s and that's H264, 30FPS. Drop this to H265 and 15 FPS and you are down to 6-7 Mb/s. I have 3 cameras- 2x1080P, 1x 4K plus a wireless AP on this very switch 24/7.

Kinda works.
First, you should know that this does not have a power plug. You have to strip some wire and connect it to an extension. This means wire stripper, electric tester, electric tape and some cutters.Second.... and this is very important, this is a VERY SLOW switch. It's 10/100, meaning that if you use 8MP IP cameras, like me, you can only get ONE CAMERA to work on it before it runs out of network bandwidth. The switch simply cannot handle sending a data stream of more than one 4k camera.... If you are using lower end IP cameras, then it could handle more. I was under the impression that the uplink ports are 1gbps but they are not.Next, even though it says the housing is weather proof, it's not. There is no seal around the doors and the vent holes at the bottom will surely attract a ton of bugs due to the heat this unit puts out. Also, the instructions says to keep it in doors in a ventilated area. Finally, the instructions... They are typical Chinese gibberish. No effort went into translating or even DETERMINING the right device. The instruction manual is for a similar but different unit. There is a on/off switch to control how much power this unit puts out through POE but the switch is not labeled, so it's impossible to tell which way is on and off (and the instruction does not provide this either). On a positive side, it does work for 1 camera, although I'm not sure if it will last if it's exposed to the elements. I've already ordered a different unit to replace this.

Not weatherproof/rainproof but works fine in some outdoor environments.
First of all as others mention, and as obviously plain as can be seen in the photos, it has absolutely no ingress protection and is absolutely _NOT_ weatherproof _NOR_ Rainproof. Claiming so, is disingenuous at best, and deceptive at worst. I had originally bought it to be used outdoors mounted on a security camera mast, but decided that without some sort of enclosure, it would not last without real ingress protection rating. But on the good side, it does work as a poe switch in my very hot Texas attic for a 3x 4MP PoE cameras that I have. So if you can keep it out of _direct_ weather (i.e. keep it covered, under an awning, in an attic, etc), it will probably work just fine. Mine has been going strong for almost a year now. The only downside I see is that my cameras do go out when I lose power, as my attic power source is not on backup. For another installation, this is why I'm using another, more expensive switch solution from Unifi that does poe passthrough from a central indoor poe switch which is on battery backup power.

Lookout Halloween display vandals
Update: my SecuPOE products are still going strong. My 8 port is 3 years old and hasn’t skipped a beat. My 4 port survived Halloween and Christmas including one major rain storm without its front cover on and it’s still working. all it did was run a few temporary cheap cameras because we have had our displays vandalized a time or two.I already had the 8 port version of this running my regular camera system and it’s been going strong for over 2 years. I got this 4 port version for a temporary camera setup that monitors my holiday displays. This year I invested heavily in automated show controllers that sync my display to music and have had issues with vandals in years passed and want to try to prevent that this year so I will have a dedicated camera system to monitor and record my display 24-7. The extra non-POE port means I can connect my main show controller without needing to run a second 150ft Ethernet cable. I will have signs warning of the cameras so vandals will have fair warning. That said if I catch a vandal I will prosecute to the fullest extent possible 🚔. These POE switches are built quite well and with the cover on can withstand strong thunderstorms with wind and heavy rain without enough water getting in to cause damage to the unit. My 8 port version sometimes get a drop or two of water in it but has never skipped a beat. It would be nice if it came with a plug attached but I see why they just have the bare wires. Not everyone’s application will need a plug such as installs where power is ran through conduit to the switch enclosure. The wire colors being different than typical USA color coding means you need to be careful. Brown is hot wire, blue is neutral and yellow/green is ground. Color codes are different in other parts of the world so this is coded I assume for china but not certain. Only complaint I have is this is early 2000s tech. In 2022 I see no reason why this is only 10/100mbps it should be at least 10/100/1000mbps. For most cameras this won’t matter but I’m starting to see 8K security cameras which will easily saturate a 10/100 connection meaning you will get a lot of glitching and studdering in the video stream. My cameras are 4K and 10/100 seams to work fine with 4 or 8 cameras.

Seems to work well
Got this three years ago, and just getting around to reviewing it now. It's been working pretty flawlessly for all that time. I have it installed in my garage to power three PoE IP cameras and it just works, to borrow a famous fruit company slogan. I can't vouch for the waterproofness (garage hasn't leaked so far), but I can vouch for its temperature resistance, as it can get to very cold here in the winter (e.g. -25C) and very hot in the summer (30C). It's only 10/100 and not gigabit but that's plenty for my purposes. Pretty reliable so far.

Does not work as a POE switch
This simply does not work as a POE switch. This works as an unpowered ethernet switch, but the 2 POE ports do not provide power for any of the several items that I tested.Junk.

Very unique product
This is a very unique product. It’s a mains powered Poe network switch in an outdoor enclosure. It’s not as waterproof as I would like and has No IP rating (big open vents at the bottom), however I use these inside a shed to power 2 external cctv cameras and a UniFi Mesh device. Also, they are only 10/100 and not gigabit, but this is okay for most cameras.Perfect.

Reliable
Works fine, does what it says it can. Powering 4 Poe cameras at the end of a 100m run.
