I decided to use it in the bedroom with the Spicas just because it was easy to set it all up together
I picked up an SR4320 as part of a package. I really lusted for the Spica TC-50s that came with the receiver so I had to take it all. I decided to use it in the bedroom with the Spicas just because it was easy to set it all up together. The Spicas are reasonably efficient so power was not an issue. I like Marantz gear in general so I figured can't be all that bad. I used a smart Panasonic Bluray as the only source. The sound quality is better than I have experienced with any receiver or integrated amp including a Yamaha AS500 and that is saying something. Good imaging, handles transients well. It supports lots of inputs and the remote is simple and straight forward. If you can find one used, rest assured that this little receiver will become a favorite. It got 4 stars instead of five becuase it doesn't support any of the new digital conveniences such as airplay which is kind of dumb since it was not an option when it was made. My thought was that the new connectivity is a big deal for many users but then if it did handle those inputs, you would lose a pretty darn good phono section. So no reservations on performance for the price point at all. Its a very good value and nicely laid out. Good solid speaker terminals etc.
