ChiChinLighting® LED MR16 Spotlight 12V 5W (400 Lumen - 50 Watt Equivalent) 6000K Day White Cool White 60 degree

Installed in Moto lights (motorcycle caliper mounted running lights) these put out significantly more than their stock LED bulb. Although the light on the road is still less than the 35W halogen bulbs mounted in the same fixtures, they operate coolly and place a brilliant glare that is difficult for other drivers to miss. The lamp is slightly larger than the halogen MR16 and the lip around the rim of the light is a wee bit thicker, but I did not find it enough to prevent closing the fixture.According to Moto lights, a standard Halogen 35 Watt MR-16 puts out around 7,000 lumens and a standard 3.2 watt MR-16 LED puts out about 100 lumens. While these state they put out around 440 lumens, I don't know how to measure the difference, but they are clearly much much brighter than the standard LED. After installing them and walking 20 feet away when looking at the bike, it was impossible to suffer from inattentional blindness, the bike just blazed at us. A caveat - try to avoid looking at the light from the front up close; it took a while for my eyes to readjust from the after-image burned onto my retina as I walked towards them at night.By reducing from combined 70 Watt (2-35 W halogen bulbs) to 8 watt (2-4 W LED) reduced the load on the 12V battery from 5.8 Amps to .7 amps allowing more power for ABS to function on demand as required.

These LED assemblies shipped directly from China, arrived intact, and in a timely fashion. They work well so far, and produce a quality light as expected, but I can't speak to their longevity since I just got them. I also have not evaluated the power claim of 4 watts.Be advised that the two examples I received had no external markings whatsover to indicate their voltage requirements, power consumption, light output, manufacturer, country of origin, model number, or underwriting status. If those things matter to you, look elsewhere.One more interesting note: The package had a manifest on the outside that labeled its contents as phone parts. Totally false! I have to wonder for whose benefit that deception was.

I bought eight of these to replace the halogen downlights in a kitchen that receives no natural light.My initial impression was very positive. They replaced the halogens with no problem, and the cool (7000K) light brightened the dark space up beautifully.However they started dying after 3 months of not very intensive usage. Now, 3 1/2 months after installing, only 3 out of the original 8 are still working.I raised this with Amazon Customer Service who promptly refunded me for all 8.Some quick internet research seems to confirm that in this case "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is": these bulbs are much less expensive than similar bulbs from reputable makers like FEIT, etc. However apparently there are large differences in the quality of the LED chips. There is a lot of substandard stuff coming out of China, (where these are sourced), and they just are not reliable.Don't waste time with these bulbs.

It will break soon. Say 1-2 years

I purchased over 40 of these. They are longer than the normal bulbs and didn't fit some out door spot lights. ALS I had three go out the first week. They did send replacement but they took over a month to arrive. I have four more that that stopped working since.

I originally bought four of these lights to test, then twenty more - for some display cases in a retail store.The first four were bluish in color, but the others were more yellow. I suspect the bluish ones were sent by mistake. In any case, we liked both and used them in different displays - I'm sure I could have returned them for the 7000k yellow, but no need..Regardless, the quality is very high. They're bright, cool-running, extremely consistent in brightness, and worked well on D/C and A/C power supplies. The 7000k color (the yellow) makes them almost indistinguishable from halogens, except there's no massive heatwave, and no smoke rising from our displays. Their depth (about 3/8" deeper than a standard MR16) keeps them from fitting in certain fixtures, but we had no problem adapting - well worth the effort. The cool running temperature gives me the impression they should last a long time.Hopefully TorchStar's product will continue to perform this well. If it does, we'll be buying many more..

Ordered 5 of these to replace 35 watt halogens in Landscaping. They are very bright but just too white (very cool to blueish). There's no comparison when it comes to lumens per watt, but may try warmer leds, or use filters to make the light softer. 3 out of 5 came out of the box with the bezel and lens separated from the can but they snapped back together easily. And as someone else noted, they are taller than the standard MR16 halogen, making for a less than perfect fit in the fixture. With a couple of differnt fixtures, I had to tape one shut to seal it.

I ordered these to replace some cheap bulbs I had purchased from another company. These bulbs were perfect but within a month two of them burnt out an d I notified the company through the feedback bulletin at Amazon. They immediately replaced the bulbs at no cost and did so very quickly. The replacement were a different but equal product but a very good replacement and worked out great. I would not hesitate to order from them again and I am sure I will.

i used them for my kitchen. direclty beneath it its really bright and also lights up nicely the whole kitchen.above all it is led which will last longer and burn less power.

Noch kann man ja von LED Lampen nicht allzuviel verlangen, die Technik ist noch lange nicht ausgereift. Einen Strahler mit einer so mikrigen Leistung sollte man jedoch nicht auf den Markt bringen. Diese auch noch mit dem vollmundigen Zusatz " Halogen Ersatzlampe" anzubieten ist ziemlich dreist und ist irreführend. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen wozu man einen solchen Strahler gebrauchen kann, die Leuchtkraft entspricht in etwa einer LED Taschenlampe, durch den 30 Grad Streuung wirkt die Lampe noch deutlich schwächer. Kurzum, einfach kokolores. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!
